A carefully crafted haircut exactly how you want it, a shampoo, and a neck massage — all for a fair price. The spacious shop is decorated to entertain and make you comfortable. Plenty of parking. Never a long wait, especially if you call ahead. Vilma treats her customers like good friends. Generous with her time and compliments. Five stars is not enough.

Warm, meticulous and professional. Vilma has indeed raised the bar for my expectations of what a good, clean cut experience is all about. I had been to most other barbers in the area until I found Vilma. As long as she is still cutting hair, I will not go anywhere else.

Vilma is great! I have a dry scalp and she has provide tips and products that have helped! My two boys love going there and she is great with them.

I’ve been getting my hair cut here since I moved to the area a little over a year ago, and plan to keep coming here as long as I’m in the area.
The service has always been fantastic, regardless of whether I just drop in or call ahead (I try to call to avoid any wait).
As far as the haircuts go; I have been extremely happy with them so far. I’m pretty finicky about my hair (and so is my better half), but I have felt confident walking out with my new haircut every time; the look has been exactly what I wanted– and it’s had that balance of «looks good right now» and «will grow out nicely.»
Lastly, for the area (I researched a lot of barbershops in the Santa Rosa/​Windsor area), the price is very reasonable!
I’ll be back in this week to get trimmed up for the holidays.

Vilma is an absolute professional. She takes her time making sure you are getting the exact haircut you want. The shop is the cleanest barber shop I have ever been in. She may actually be the best barber I have ever been to and this is coming from someone who is super picky about their haircut. She is also a very sweet lady. I will never go to anyone else for a haircut again when I’m in Sonoma County.

I stumbled upon this place because my regular spot couldn’t fit me in and I was in pretty bad shape. I must say I was presently surprised. Vilma is an absolute gem, her personality really comes across right away. The haircut was great and people noticed, I received a couple genuine compliments from friends and family. I have gone to some places in the city where I paid around $ 30 and I felt I received a better cut and experience when I left this place. Needless to say I will be coming back from now on.

This place is getting a 1 Star rating. Keep in mind I didn’t bother to get a haircut here due to the ridiculous price.
Keep in mind I am from out of town and I normally do my own cutting of my hair as I just take off all the guards off my clippers and cut away.
I walked in and no customers were there. Looked like the lady had some friends over visiting her and chatting it up. She stopped the conversation to ask what I would like. I asked how much it would cost to get a haircut with a zero level with clippers all around. Now, this sounds very easy to do, no skill involved, and anyone can do this. Take off all the guards off the clippers and cut it all. Again, takes no skill where even a 6 year old kid can do it. She responded with $ 15 dollars. I said that’s steep for just a zero with clippers all around where it doesn’t take much skill to do. Then, she just started waving bubye to me.

The woman who cut my hair was nice but I’m not too satisfied with the cut she gave me. It’s a little choppy, not too blended. She spent most of the time on the back, which looks good, but she breezed over the front and sides, which are what everyone sees. Probably won’t be back.

Vilma gave me a great cut and straight razor shave of my neck, and a nice massage to top it all off. She is very friendly and caring about her customers.

I have been going to Genesis for 3 months now and like the fact that it is easy to get to right off of 101. Vilma has been cutting my hair for longer than 3 months — I decided to follow her when she moved to this location because she does a great job cutting hair and has an awesome personality.

I saw the old school barber pole last week while driving by and stopped in today at my lunch break. Vilma is the owner and barber. I could not have been happier with the results and the service that she offered. The place was very clean and well organized and she sat me right away. She does a full service haircut for men and women, she even offers a strait razor shave. I cannot recommend the place highly enough and will be back as soon as the hair grows in and I will be letting everyone I know this place is here and open for business. I look great.

Vilma is great. She gives a great men’s cut, does straight razor shaves and will even give you a shoulder massage at the end. If you want a good, honest hair cut, this is the place to come.
