Best of The Bunch Childcare is provided by Sonoma County’s Elite Events & Vacation Nanny! I offer On-Site Hotel, Vacation Home or Event Childcare. I’m a highly qualified Child Development Professional with over 20 years of experience and 33 units in the field. I am Infant/Child CPR/First Aid Certified and have obtained my Child Development Site Supervisor Permit from CA Commission on Teacher Credentialing. I have my TDAP, TB & Fingerprint Clearances (background check). I am able to provide age appropriate activities for children from the ages of 3 months-12 years old. You can relax and enjoy your event, knowing that your child or children are safe and having TONS of FUN! Enjoy your wedding event, wine tasting, a hot air balloon ride, a bike ride, a mud bath or whatever your special occasion may be & I will provide a warm and nurturing environment for your little loved ones!

History

Established in 2012.

I was born & raised in the beautiful Sonoma County and I am well aware of the numerous tourist attractions and events that we offer here! I have 20 years of experience as a preschool teacher, assistant director (at a large childcare center), nanny (in Greenwich, CT/New York/San Francisco & Sonoma County), activities director (at a 5 star resort in Guam), after-school teacher, counselor & soccer coach. I decided to start Best Of The Bunch Childcare, when I realized the need for exceptional childcare for children while their parents attend a special event here in my hometown. It is hard to truly enjoy an event, when you’re nervous & worried about your child or children being left behind with someone you met earlier that day. I’m here to put those nerves at ease. I’m NOT your «everyday babysitter», I’m a highly qualified Child Development Professional.

We travelled from Perth, Western Australia to Santa Rosa for my friend’s wedding in August and needed a babysitter for our 3.5 year old daughter. We had no recommended contacts, but found the reviews on Unilocal of Elysha encouraging, so I decided to contact her. From our first email contact I found her extremely professional. She immediately eased my mind, and allayed any concerns on leaving my daughter with a stranger after after travelling half the way around the world!
Elysha arrived promptly at our hotel, and brought with her an amazing array of toys to keep our daughter entertained. Elysha immediately made a connection with our daughter, and went on to manage the day perfectly, keeping to Abbey’s routine regarding feeding, toileting and sleeping. On returning that evening, she showed us some photos of the many activities they had enjoyed together. The next day Abbey kept chatting about the things they had done, delighted in the craft activities they completed and even taught me some new dance moves Elysha had showed her.
In short, Elysha was absolutely fantastic. For any Australian families out there needing a reliable sitter, you won’t find any better than Elysha.

Elysha was recommended to us by a good friend. She came to our Santa Rosa hotel to take care of our 14 month old daughter so we could go to our friends’ show. Her rates are clear on her website. She e-mailed me ahead of time with detailed questions about our daugher’s likes/dislikes, preferences, and routine. She arrived with 4 bags of clean and developmentally appropriate toys so our daughter was immediately enthralled. After making sure it was okay with us, she texted us photos and updates while we were out of our little munchkin, playing, eating dinner, and finally sleeping. It gave us great peace of mind to enjoy our night out knowing our daughter was in great hands. I agree with the other reviewer that I wish Elysha lived in LA. She clearly has tons of experience and is very comfortable with and enjoys children. I would definitely recommend her and hire her again next time we’re in the area.

I can’t even begin to rave at how wonderful Elysha was!!! She kept us informed how our baby was throughout our absence and she even brought toys for them to play with! I LOVED her! If you want quality care and confidence that your child is in good hands, go with Best of the Bunch. She was so sweet and knows how to take care of children. I will definitely be using her again next time we return to Sonoma!

This past weekend my friends booked Elysha to come to their wedding site at Healsburg to take care of 4 toddlers at the wedding venue. Elysha contacted us through email in advance, had us fill up a questionnaire about detail routine of our child, which turned out to be very helpful. On the day of the wedding, we dropped our child off at the room they set up, Elysha and her assistant immediately knew our child’s name, what he likes to do, his schedule, and what needs to be done to calm him and put him to bed without any explanation. They brought a lot of toys and played with my 2 year old as soon as he got there so he did not cry at all when we left him. My husband and I had a great night at the reception knowing two experienced and caring nannies are taking care of our child, playing with him, feeding him the food we brought and putting him to bed the way we always do. We stopped by the nanny room several times during dinner to see if our child was doing okay, and we could see from the door that he was treated very well, playing toys at first, then was fed and a story was read to him while he was held and gently rocked, and when we picked him up, all four toddlers were sleeping peacefully in their own bed.
l highly recommend Best of the Bunch Childcare to anyone who need on-site nanny. I feel I can totally trust them and know my child gets the best care while my husband and I leave him with Elysha and her assistant.

Elysha and her assistant were fantastic in providing nanny services for 7 children at my daughter’s wedding in July in Geyserville. They had fun activities and kept them very happy. Some of the children came after dinner to watch reception activities as we had in the plans, but some preferred to stay with Elysha — that’s how good she was! We received great comments from the parents and guests who saw how much fun the kids were having. She provided all the services we needed and made the wedding a better experience for the kids and their parents. I would highly recommend Elysha with no reservations!

OMG! What can I say? Elysha is amazing! We were so nervous leaving our 2 yo son alone w/a babysitter while on vacation for a wedding in Healdsburg, but we hired Elysha and from the moment we spoke on the phone she eased my worries! She showed up to our hotel room with 3 bags of activities in hand and my son immediately felt at ease with her. We left after a few minutes and my son was totally fine. She started sending us photos and texts almost immediately to ease my worried mind and I LOVED that! Seeing my baby smiling and coloring and playing instruments totally helped me relax and enjoy the event. She is amazing and so good at what she does. Fantastic energy. So laid back and super professional. Her prices are also very reasonable.
I just wish she lived closer to LA so I could use her all the time!!! Oh well guess we’ll have to vacation in Wine Country a little more to take advantage of her awesome services. :-) I highly recommend her!!!

We hired her recently for a day while visiting Healdsburg. I got her name from the Flamingo hotel and resort and checked her out on the Healdsburg Chamber of Commerce website. She was great. Energetic, smiling, kind and fun. She brought lots of appropriate toys, books and activities for my 3 and 6 year old kids and kept them engaged for 4 plus hours without any problem. Because this was the first time we were using her, I asked her to text me from time to time to let me know how the kids were doing. She sent me regular but not too frequent updates giving me great peace of mind. The best part is that the kids really took to her and were full of eager stories the next day about all the activities they did with her. Will definitely use her next time we are up in the wine country and strongly recommend her.
