Our orthodontist in Windsor specializes in orthodontic treatment for children, teens and adults. We use the latest technologies in orthodontic care including Invisalign and Invisalign Teen, the clear alternative to braces. We also use self-​ligating braces which result in faster and more comfortable orthodontic treatment.

History

Established in 2003.

In 1979, South African native Dr. Rael Bernstein began his 5 year, life altering adventure in orthodontics. Unfortunately for him, headgear and braces were incredibly torturous back then. But, on one visit he had the epiphany that would change the course of his own treatment. By putting in the required effort, he was rewarded with an amazing and confident smile.

Based on that experience, Dr. Bernstein became an orthodontist and founded Bernstein Orthodontics, with the commitment and promise to provide patients with a rewarding and engaging orthodontic adventure.

At Bernstein Orthodontics, we believe in progressive orthodontics which means no extractions and surgery, braces only when necessary, and we do not use unsightly headgear or uncomfortable fixed expanders. We use the latest technologies in orthodontic care so our patients can achieve the smile they desire both quickly and comfortably.

With his own experience in orthodontics, Dr. Bernstein decided to pursue a career in the field. He attended the prestigious Wits Dental School finishing top of his class. He then went on to complete his orthodontic specialty residency at the State University of New York at Buffalo in 1998. Following his residency, Dr. Bernstein accepted a fellowship position at the University where he became a clinical assistant professor in the orthodontic department. Soon after, he moved with his wife to Santa Rosa and founded Bernstein Orthodontics.
