and this hotel is practically in the middle of nowhere and honestly quite ghetto
When we got here, the receiptionist already gave us a room with a broken door. so with our luggage, we had to bring it again to the front desk.
Our room is king size bedroom and everything is pretty decent. Good size of bathroom and bedroom. There is a fridge and microwave. HOWEVER, the wall is sooooooooooo thin that you can hear exactly what our neighbors were talking about. It’s a big minus for us, especially in the bathroom. I need a total silence when doing my «business».
The breakfast is unappetizing. The donuts were crumbling when cut, telling us how bad the quality is.
Overall is not recommended!

Very old and tired motel. It’s hard to believe this is a conference center. Wifi isn’t working and rooms have mold, bad paint etc.

0 Stars! HORRIBLE staff! The ‘General Manager’ should NOT have a job in hospitality! I can only blame the remainder of the staff so much with the lack of leadership presented. We rented their largest ballroom space and as we came in to set up for our event, we were «greeted» by the general manager by shouting at us not to move anything. This was of course after we requested just 5 – 10 minutes prior that we have some help to rearrange the room. With that greeting, we waited about 5 minutes, then, started again since no one ever came. Luckily, we did not wait, as it took 40 minutes before we saw anyone else from the staff again. This is just the tip of the iceberg! DO NOT book anything here unless you like unbelievably horrendous service! I can not begin to express enough of the bad experience and the way we were treated by the staff.

I made my reservation a week in advance through Hotwire and called the hotel to request a King sized bed and a mini fridge in my room, which they kindly agreed to and helped me out with. I arrived and received what I asked for.
I was originally placed in a room that was too far away from the Wifi. I asked to be switched to a room closer to the wifi with the same kind of bed and a fridge. They had no problem switching me and I was impressed with their service. They even offered me an ethernet cord to make connecting even better (which I really needed since the wifi isn’t very good).
The shower was really gross. There were mold spots on the inside of the shower curtain and the tub wouldn’t drain. Wallpaper is falling apart in the bathroom. On the surface things seem clean, but when you look closer it’s clear that the surface is the only thing they touch. There’s pet hair everywhere on the carpeting (it’s a pet friendly hotel).
Breakfast is pretty disappointing. They offer bread, bagels, a couple of cereals, cheap donuts and danishes.

The hotel was cheap, which was okay.
Not okay: room keys that stopped working, sinks that didn’t drain, heat alarms that went off during showers, smoke alarms that went off (multiple times) in the middle of the night for no reason, wake-​up calls that never happened, crazy crowded loud pool, sheets that weren’t changed, roof leaks in the front lobby…
I tried three times to get a reduction on my bill but no one ever called me back, so I am leaving this review. I would try really hard to not stay there again. The staff was relatively nice for all that, but what they’re working with — not good.

yuck. dirty old place, but we got what we paid for, but maybe we were ripped off. First key we got for our room was not clean, went back to front desk and got a new room. Basic clean room, but if you look close, it’s most likely is not clean. Also room had sliding glass door, which would not lock, but had a PVC tube to lock the door. didn’t feel safe. TV didn’t work, shower backed up, running toilet all night, loud a/​c. What else could go wrong. Skip this place ! !

Hotel was exactly what you pay for, itchy sheets and hair in bathtub and around the room. Basic large tv’s and grandma furniture. Pros-​Had a semi decent breakfast, pool and sliding doors to go outside directly to your car. Outer Doors do not need any swipe to enter the hotel so anyone can enter the building even after hours felt unsafe and no cameras in hallways.

Hotel is horrible. The service is poorly. The room is not clean. The breakfast is not good.

Cheap outdated rooms. Get what you pay for. Still a nice spot and the pizza joint next door is phenomenal.

Is is almost impossible to describe this business — except to say «DO NOT EVER STAY HERE»!!
We booked into this hotel because of an early AM airfare. I used HOTELS​.COM to find a local Comfort Inn style hotel. This is a «renovated» old-​old-​old motel, that needs tons of work. It was run over during our stay with a boys basketball group — all boys — unsupervised — between 12 — 13 yrs old — running the hallways, slamming the doors and destroyed the lobby in the AM for breakfast. If you want comfort, peaceful evening — just flying thru CT — stay anywhere else. Photos will be posted today.

Most horrible experience ever! Bad service, duty rooms, no wifi connected. No microwave as advertised. I wish I can give a 0 star.
For amenities it says free wifi in the rooms. But there’s no any signals. When I asked the front desk they asked me to connect with a cable which doesn’t apply to my Mac!
And then they called me at 7am asking me whether there’s a microwave in my room. Wtf?
I also asked for a late check out. I talked to the front desk the night before. When i check out the next day they said I didn’t tell them! This is ridiculous!‘
There’s even hair on my bed! So gross!!! Also they don’t do the housekeeping for u even though you ask them to do it later after you go out!
Don’t stay here!!!

If I could put zero stars, I would. Starting at check in, they repeatedly told us that they didn’t have our reservation for a second room and no amends were made to fix the problem. This might have been Expedia’s fault… but still they made no initiation to help us. Second, the room they gave us wells completely wrong. We reserved 2 queen beds and we’re given one queen bedroom. Now there are 7 of us. Where did they expect us to sleep? We knew occupancy wasn’t full. Bottom line: Horrible customer service.
There were socks left in the room from I guess the previous occupants… did they even clean the room? #doublenasty
There were cobwebs in the rooms too and the smoke detector kept beeping all night #didnotsleepatall
They didn’t even apologize!!!
I know it was cheap, but I’ve been to holiday inns at this rate and service was above par with excellent custoner service. This could’ve been a nice place to stay at, but beware. This was a horrible experience. Many small hotels survive based on good customer service. People will pay extra for good service. Sadly, at this rate… the hotel’s future looks bleak.

I recently stayed at this hotel and I was very disappointed. The pictures were very generous to the pool, and the rooms were VERY dated. A non-​flatscreen TV in this day and age for a $ 79 room is not acceptable. The pictures showed a flatscreen and lavish accessories, which our room had none of. Parts of our room lacked cleanliness, including the refrigerator, which had a white liquid dripped in it. Honestly speaking, I felt like my room was a dump and did not look at all like any of the pictures.

Would never stay here again. Absolutely gross and dirty. Floors were dirty. The lobby might be nice but the rooms are absolutely disgusting. It’s definitely considered a 1 or 2 star. It’s just a cheap, roach invested hotel.

I’m giving them 4 stars as a cheap hotel, not as a hotel in general. This hotel is right off the highway and easy to get to. I checked into my room in the early evening. The young woman at the front desk was super friendly, and helpful. Made sure she had the correct room type down, offered to move me to the second floor if the first floor was my preference, explain the holding policy, showed me where breakfast was served, the pool and my room was. Checked into my rom and everything seemed acceptably clean. Bathroom looked recently renovated. Closet could have used a couple more hangers, but I only had two shirts to hang so it didn’t bother me. I changed and left for rest of the evening.
When I returned later the night, I discovered the walls were pretty thin and I could clearly hear my neighbors TV. Luckily it was a fairly soothing program, I think it was Morgan Freeman narrating ‘Island Of Lemurs: Madagascar’. I turned on the AC which drowned it out. Unfortunately the AC was one that the fan only runs on auto, so it turns off between cycles. Bed seemed general clean, although comforter felt past it prime (as hotel comforters generally do) Luckily everything was bug free, which I can’t say for all hotels in the Hartford CT area.
Morning shower was great and then I went to breakfast. It was slimmer pickings because it was just 45 minutes left in their later weekend service. Missing from what I had seen in their photo was the waffle iron, had they run out or was that gone? Anyways I had coffee, toasted english muffin and strawberry yogurt.
Checking out was a tad delayed because the group in front of me supposedly had money taken from their room and now were arguing every possible detail. (who leaves money in their hotel room anyways? especially a $ 59 a night one at that) Anyways, the woman at the front desk was still friendly and made me feel important, which was quite a feat for what was going on around her.

I had a 5 night reservation and one of the items that led me to Hillspoint was the microwave/​fridge listed for the type of room reserved. Well, apparently, Hillspoint staff doesn’t particularly care what the online reservation says comes with the room.
Regardless of what’s listed on the reservation, it’s the luck of the draw if you’ll actually have those items in your room. I called the front desk immediately after checking in to inform them there was no fridge and microwave. They tried to tell me that room didn’t come with those items. I was there 2 months earlier in that exact same room and there WAS a fridge/​microwave. They move them from room to room and then tell you the room doesn’t come with that amenity. I have no use for a motel that speaks a lot of double talk to excuse their inability to honor the room as listed on the reservation.

We stayed three nights while our daughter attended ConnectiCon. I have a mixed review of this property.
Upon check-​in I needed to change our room from a queen to a double (priceline didn’t let you choose) and I wanted to make sure our room had a microwave and refrigerator. The clerk was very helpful and got us what we needed.
Our room was in the center of the hall on the second floor. No elevator and we had a carful of stuff to lug. Four trips later and I discovered that we had a fridge but no microwave. :(oh well, we decided just to deal.
Old style blurry tv, not enough hangers. Needs were okay and there were extra pillows in the room. Not enough towels for 3. Had to call for the extra towels, an ice bucket, and Kleenex (our box had ONE tissue in it!) Trim in the room is loose, and the vanity light in the bathroom is too close to the ceiling, leaving scorch marks. Wifi never worked the whole time we were there.
Pool appears nice, didn’t use it. Breakfast is coffee, juice, toast, bagels and cold cereal. Okay, but I really wanted some eggs!
Asked for a late checkout, they gave me an hour but after that said it would be another night’s charge.
Convenient to Hartford, so it got us what we needed. Gas and groceries close by. I’m not going to bitch too much for under $ 50 a night, but there are some areas that need improving.

I booked this hotel in prep for getting in from California really late at night. When we pulled up, I immediately felt like the place was out in the middle of nowhere, which was strange, but the lobby looked really good from the car.
I went in and Jamal at the front desk was very polite and friendly. They had entered my reservation for the wrong month, but he handled it well and got me a key fairly quickly.
We drove around after we got keys and I noticed that none of the outside doors for the hotel have locks. People can jus go in and out of the hotel without any sort of key. When we walked in (at midnight with no issue), I immediately noticed an abundance of moths, flies, and other night bugs all over the inside of the halls. The wallpaper was peeling. Clearly a very outdated set up.
The vending machines near our room had been ripped out, so there weren’t any. The room numbers were pretty confusing, for example our room was around the corner but the plaque on the wall didnt include our room at all.
When we went in, I turned on the light and there was a giant black ant on the wall. I worked in a hotel for a few years so I’m always suspicious; I went through and checked everything before my boyfriend even put things down. The bathroom was relatively clean, but the carpet hadn’t been vacuumed and when I pulled back the very tightly-​made bed, the sheets hadn’t been changed — there was hair and dirt all over them.
I immediately called down to the front desk and Jamal quickly came to us to move us to another room. Still friendly and without incident. I checked the new room over and though the carpet was still fairly gross, the bed and bathroom were clean, so I decided not to make a fuss.
The water pressure in the shower was surprisingly strong, but I’m a tall girl (5’11″) and the shower head was WAY too short, hit me right about the middle of my chest. More peeling wallpaper in there and dingy (but clean) towels.
The first room had had a fridge, but the second room did not. When I finally collapsed, exhausted, in the bed, we had the lumpiest pillows I have ever felt in my life. It was like they stuffed balls of cotton into a pillow case and sewed it shut. I couldn’t even use the pillows, they hurt my head and neck.
All in all, the place was fairly close to the airport, the lobby was super nice, and they did offer free breakfast (though I cant attest to how good or bad that was, we didn’t bother with it). The staff i interacted with was nice, and there was plenty of parking. But as far as amenities and comfort, I’d never go back to this place again unless they went under some serious renovations.

Staff was kind of rude at check in. Hotel room didn’t lock from the outside. The bathroom had something smeared on it by the light switch and the beds were incredibly uncomfortable. Unfortunately we don’t have time to try to use the pool or anything like that. But I wouldn’t stay here again.

Staff was very friendly, clean, we had no issues. Only four out of five stars due to the «fitness center» consisting of three pieces of gym equipment. One could and did get by, but just a heads up.
Otherwise continental breakfast was of high caliber and included make your own waffles, cereal, fresh milk, muffins, and an assortment of bagels. (Though this NYer could not be fooled by those bagels)
I enjoyed my stay and would come here again if I ever needed to stay in the middle of nowhere :)
