Be prepared when you go in to have stimulation overload. They have hundreds of(maybe even a thousand) different treats. We had no idea from the outside of the shop all that awaited inside. We had made the mistake of stopping at a super tiny bakery down the street earlier in the day, so seeing all Klemm’s had to offer was well welcomed. The employees were very friendly and attentive. We got an array of treats; donuts, turnovers, pecan rolls, carrot cake, and cookies. Everything was delicious and the donuts alone are worth a drive back! We had bought a cupcake at the previous bakery which we regretted when we saw the size and variety Klemm’s had! I feel the prices were extremely reasonable given the quality and size of each item. I can’t wait to go back again and again!

I ordered a couple danish rings from klemms(blueberry and apricot). I was so disappointed! They totally skimped on the fruit to the point you could barely tell the flavor(especially with the apricot one). Not worth the money at all. Staff not very pleasant either. I will not be going back.

I’m shocked by the reviews of this place! I drive by every day on my way home, and decided to stop in yesterday to get cupcakes for my two nephews. The person behind the counter was SO nice, and gave me two extra cupcakes for free so that the box was full and they wouldn’t move around. I got 6 cupcakes and a bag of day-old donuts(which were delicious, by the way) for less than $ 8, so I don’t understand the gripes about prices. I’d definitely stop in – I thought everything looked amazing and I can’t wait to stop in again!

We have been here before and figured why not try one more time. We wish we hadn’t. We bought two apple squares and a bag of peanut butter cookies for $ 10. The apple squares were flavorless and the peanut butter cookies were the worst I have ever had in my life. What ingredients are being used here? Is this some secret modern art installation to see how long people will keep buying flavorless(LITERALLY) overpriced pastries? I’d rather never eat sweets again then come here, which is basically what I did anyways.

Look, I don’t care if you’re a smoker. But can you at least wash your hands before serving me a donut? And maybe not smoke RIGHT outside the shop so the place smells like an ashtray? We pulled up and parked at the Hudson location. The employee was outside the shop, having a smoke and playing with his phone. He followed us in, put down his phone on the counter and never washed his hands before bagging my donut. Yes, he used a wax paper to pick it up but as an employee and representative of the bakery, wash your GD hands, OK? My gut reaction was to walk out of the shop without ordering anything but I’m a sucker and felt like I needed to at least order one donut. My husband and I won’t be going back to this location. I’ll be taking my business to the Windham bakery. Hopefully the employees are a little more mindful of stuff like hand washing.

I’ve heard great things about this bakery so I was very excited to try it. I purchased a Boston Cream pie for my dad’s birthday and was told it was very fresh. I brought it home and in front of my entire family and party guests we cut into the cake and discovered mold. YESMOLD!!! Blue mold in the center of the cake. I then had to leave the party drive back to the bakery where I didn’t receive an apology and was given another one. I drive back to the party with the second cake and«attempt» to cut into it. The cake was frozen… At that point we all realized that the«fresh» product I had purchased was not so fresh. The entire center of the cake as well as all of the cream was frozen. I’ve never been more disappointed in a bakery and I now make sure my friends and family think twice before returning there.

The Unilocal reviews don’t do this place justice. This has long been the place that area residents have gone for all their pastry needs. They’ve been in business for over 20 years and have expanded to a second location, so their popularity isn’t in question. The pastries are excellent, especially the donuts and muffins. I’ll agree that the expansion into pizza and other items has the place a bit too full of product and they should probably do what they do best and stick to the baked goods. A friendly staff balance everything else out nicely and the prices are on par with any other bakery.

I can only review their donuts, because that’s the only thing I’ve tried here and I can tell you that they’re fabulous! They melt in your mouth. Grab a half dozen, you won’t be sorry!

That was really disapointing. We went in for a coffee, and to avoid the styrofoam flavored version of it we had to take an ice coffee, which is not our first choice. My husband took a bagel and they added so much cream cheese in it that I had to scrape it away while he was eating. More is not always better. Talking about that, we decided to give a try to the donuts based on Unilocal reviews. Eat one and you almost reach your daily lethal dose of sugar. We also took a quiche for our lunch in the white mountains: lots of eggs, 4 strips of bacon, and spinach sprinkled on top as if it was an herb rather than a vegetable. And NOSALT! so obviously not tasty at all. So all in all, we had a terrible experience and won’t ever come back.

I live about sixty miles from Klemm’s, but I have family in Windham and Klemm’s is one of my favorite stops when I’m in town. Full disclosure, I can only review Klemm’s doughnuts. That’s all I have ever bought here. In my area, Dunkin and Honey Dew are the only options for doughnuts. But that’s not my standard for comparison, because… well, eww. My measurement is against standouts like Kane’s in Saugus, or the Doughnut Plant in NYC, or the Doughnut Vault in Chicago. And compared to those gems, I have to say, Klemm’s holds its own. The glazed donuts are soft and chewy, and the glaze is flavorful and not overly sweet. The old-fashioned doughnuts are the perfect amount of crumbly: they aren’t tough, but they also don’t fall apart in your hand. My final measure of a doughnut is how many I could eat, and at Klemm’s, I’m satisfied with one but I could go back for more. That’s the right balance. If I lived near Klemm’s, it would be on my morning commute daily. I can’t speak to its other offerings, but Klemm’s does doughnuts(and donuts) right.

I ordered rolls for my father’s mercy meal, and sent my daughter over to get them as I was busy preparing food. My daughter called and said they charged my credit card but when the signature didn’t match the back of the card, they said they would not give her the rolls, and that I would have to come and pick them up. I told them I would not be able to do that, so she left with no rolls and a charge on my credit card. They would not give me a credit on my credit card, but more importantly, they never gave me any product for the charge! No problem with getting a credit though my credit card company. I’m sure they must have liked when they got a charge back from them and got stuck with a ton of rolls that were special ordered. Apparently, these people are in their own way when it comes to servicing their customers. I used to go their fairly frequently, and now I NEVER go. They took a very difficult time for me, and made it WORSE. Horrible, horrible customer service, horrible attitude, period. Who’s going to rip someone off for bread? Crazy people.

I have to agree with Frannie. I went in on a Saturday AM and they had no pizza out. THe young girl said that it was out back in the fridge and she could«heat it up in the microwave». I declined. She offered some fresh cider donuts. I purchased a few and they were so greasy and oily they were terrible.

I used to say there was no such thing as «bad» pizza. I’d continue with«even bad pizza is good». Then I went to Klemm’s and was proven wrong. Klemm’s makes bad pizza. Really awful pizza. Like so bad I threw it in the trash. Aside from the fact that it was super doughy and had hard cheese, I think the girl microwaved it instead of heating it properly in an oven. It was gross. While I was waiting for the pizza, I had a good opportunity to scope out the bakery cases. I ended up getting a chocolate and what I call a honey dew and then I also got a mini chocolate cream tart. The doughnuts were too dense and the chocolate tasted(as my BF said) «weird». The whipped cream on the tartlet was good but I got quite a surprise when I bit into it and the chocolate pudding was still frozen enough to be firm and had ice crystals in it. Ewww. I only stopped because I was starving. There are way better choices for a bakery. Maybe there are things they make better but I tried 3 diverse items and none were good. Avoid.

The donuts are pretty good here, especially the raspberry cream filled glazed sticks. This small strip plaza bakery(old fashioned goods) also offers turnovers, fruit squares, muffins, scones, brownies, cookies, cakes, pies, baklava, mini desserts & pastries, coffee cakes, breads, rolls, quiche, sheet pizza, and self serve Green Mountain Coffee. Sugar free, low carb and transfat free items are available too. Specialty and custom cakes for special occasions(birthdays, graduations, weddings) available. The prices are reasonable here and there’s even a «day old» rack of bakery items($ 2.99 or less). Local newspapers on sale here. HOURS: Mon-Sat: 6AM-7PM; Sun: 6AM-6PM, Open Holidays
