Big John’s Moving And Removals

I must say this «mover» and the move itself NO LESS than a total nightmare and ended with numerous *yes upwards of 6 – 7 items broken and were NOT talking a cheap plate or two, actual furniture and wall adornments/​art just to name a couple (items). Anyways John was recommend by a local «fast» friend if you know what I mean… The kind of guy always trying to one up & one over and make a buck. Anyways, we call& he (John) seems nice enough, but it seemed to take a plethora of phone calls to «figure things out» & something was just ‘off’, sorry can’t quite depict, other than he was like, «Hey, we should hang out like over following wk. end (based on a common pastime interest we each had– weird though we hadn’t even met? Sorry, but was just strange & raised question (s)?
Anyways, we locked in a date, John came to do walk thru/​for estimate with the girlfriend. OK, so we’ll see you then and with „said“ sized truck.
ALL SET… No
The day came and John and his eh…“crew» were over an hour late, with NO call.
Next, he arrives with the wrong (of course a smaller than needed truck) * But Never called to let us now there would be an issue. Just showed up, late.
So, they get to work moving things out of home (over 14 rooms 6,000sq.ft.) took notice to fact, workers we carrying minimal items– We are talking a 6 year old could manage the girth and weight. Ex: A couple of throw pillows & top of desk drawer.
I thought we were paying flat fee for entire job? Not per hour, which they seemed to be ‘working’ by milking it.??
Anyways, it got to be mid/​late afternoon and truck was maxed out and other (supposedly the «correct» truck was going to be available later on that day… Of course it was NOT!)
SO– Again it was supposed to be a one shot deal **Move out of 1 house in Windham NH and into the other address (which was over an hour drive) & upon arrival there everything in and settled.
Well, since John couldn’t cone thru on correct truck… Oh well for us, he moved what ‘he could fit’ in and said to ring him later in the week for the rest… He had other set jobsbut he’d «Fit us in»
Well, that became a HUGE Hassel, ridiculous, we were given the «Sincere Run-​Around»
* John is crafty he knows how go «work people», say the Right Things to buy time, whatever!
So. We settle w/​what we DID end up with and realize how much was totally carelessly broken. Some of which he acknowledged, Hey Mam, «Sorry this ended up getting broken» so many excuses as to –why– and this and that «unusual» circumstances. But at NO TIME did John ever offer to take money off, replace, Nada.
Mind you, this guy kept reminding us he could take items «off our hands» at one point we declined & said We may have to think it over, he called next day, * in our driveway! We were at new home, he said He’d just manual open garage! Boy he sure was available to get free sh*t!
Anyways, we finally got him to lock in a day, after filling the truck and his pick up (looked like items were just piled on anywhere they could be worked in and fit) U-​N-​P-​R-​O-​F-​E-​S-​S-​I-​O-​N-​A-​L!
OK, so the damage, without detailing items we’ll leave it at damage (accurate price to either replace or fix properly) $ 575.00. That does NOT include damage to our stairwell, gouges in new home And door frame damage at entrance… In the end he offered us $ 100.00 off — — – DAMAGED ITEMS, SPLIT TRIP — 2 MOVES –WHEN IT WAS SUPPOSED TO BE DONE IN 1 DAY TRIP.
Also be careful if you should (be desperate and without a reputable mover) hire John ‘BIG JOHNS MOVING WINDHAM NH’ he tries to interject himself oddly and opens his big mouth in inappropriate ways. Again, he is a talker I think she’s really beyond typical and average intelligence, you do indeed get that feeling from him. I will not elaborate, only to say… He/​his whole get up ‘The crew, the girlfriend, THE CIRCUS are all a headache and just that a circus disaster!
So do what you will but don’t but good luck if you do!
And for John, word to the wise: Stop blowing Snot Rockets in front of your customers, on there front yard. Really unbecoming.

I highly recommend Big John! He is very careful, strong and friendly. Also very reasonable.
