Sven Anderson accepts nothing but the best and gives nothing but the best. We worked with Sven to sell our home in Winchester. I truly felt cared about our situation and making sure that we were «taken» care of by his team. We met with one agent when making our decision, Sven, and immediately we knew that he was the right person for us. If you want someone that will do everything he can to sell your home for the highest price while also caring about your best interest and making the process easy, then there is no need to consider anyone else. Sven met with us (at our convenience) late Sunday evenings to speak with us about our questions and concerns. When we got nervous about the notion of leaving Winchester, he said «then you don’t have to.» He had already dedicated several days of himself to this sale and he still did not pressure us to do something just because it was in his favor. Before selecting Sven and the Anderson Team we interviewed two other realtors. It was very evident after the interview process that his team was above the rest. We had put a lot of work into our home over the years and decided it only made sense to use the best team to sell our home. Now that our home is sold, there is no doubt that we made the right choice. As you look over the reviews — most are long and thoughtful and very positive on the Andersen team. This will be an exception — I am keeping it brief and positive. Sven and his group — sold our home in record time and his team worked to make the process as smooth as possible. Any issues were addressed promptly and everyone was very professional. We evaluated other agents and it was like comparing techniques form the 1960’s to Star Wars in terms of tools used to get exposure for our home. It could be a very costly mistake not to at least call their office and get an initial evaluation — compare that to what other agents deliver. In our case the final price was 70 K over what other agents thought they could get for the house. Sven personally evaluated and developed with his team a plan for improving the property and marketing to major positive points along with a knock out online presentation that came through! Harold A.

We were — from the very start — skeptical of much of the information that Sven and his team gave us. From their estimate of how long our condo would be on the market to what the right selling price was. We were stubborn about staging. We we difficult when it came to viewing times. We had a dangerously brief window in which to sell our house, due to an impending move from Boston to Los Angeles. All the logistics and scheduling were going to be tremendously challenging, and we needed a partner whose interests were aligned with ours, whose capabilities were up to a daunting task, and who could communicate clearly along the way. Sven was so personable and so considerate we figured that it was all for show. This wasn’t our first sale. Sven and his team had not handled a sale in Somerville in a couple of years. We were about to be very impressed with what the Anderson team could provide.
Throughout the process Sven did give us very accurate information. Despite our high level of stress Sven, Elaine, Prescott and the others on the team delivered high quality services and along the way they reduced our stress. They each offered very useful assistance. Sven helped us to re-​position mid-​sale and delivered seven (7) offers within three (3) weeks. The offers were well beyond our expectations for value and quality. Prior to having spoken with Sven we would have thought the lowest of these offers was tremendous. Sven accurately saw what could be and helped us aim even higher. Elaine was there to help ease all the of the pain points from setup to removing items prior to closing. Along the way she handled requests for documents and helped iron our scheduling concerns. Prescott provided excellent services in helping us with some real difficulties with water bills and Fire Protection certificates. He also helped to ensure closing went smoothly and happened on it’s scheduled date. Even the lawyer, Joseph Ruotolo, was pleasure to work with.
To make a long story short, we are in California now, with a lot less stress, our condo sold for a price we felt very pleased with and a buyer who we expect to fit in well with the other condo owners in our building. The Anderson team marketed our place well, provided valuable help along the way, and the cost of their services were precisely what we expected. Sven’s team is extraordinarily talented and our experience was very positive.

When we decided it was finally time to make the move to a bigger home, we didn’t have to look far to find an amazing Realty team. Our neighbors in Stoneham had a comparable house, and had sold a few months prior after only one open house. We knew they had done their homework regarding reputable Realtors, and decided to meet with Sven Andersen of the Andersen Team based on their recommendation. Sven was very personable right from the first meeting, and was able to come out very quickly to do a walk through of our home and give us an idea about its value as well as the current housing market and best time to list. He was very honest about the work we needed to do to prepare for listing, and reliable in regard to returning emails and phone calls. We signed on with Sven and his team soon after, not only to sell our house but also to assist us in finding our new house. We then met with Elaine Lawson, the Listing Coordinator in order to get the house ready for listing. Elaine was so helpful with incredible attention to detail. She was also very respectful of the needs of our family, like scheduling showings and open houses around our young children’s bedtimes and nap times. In no time, we had our first open house with a great turn out. Sven and Elaine were in constant contact every step of the way, so we never had to wonder about feedback regarding the open houses or where things stood in terms of a possible sale. In the midst of selling, Sven brought Buyer’s Agent David Proch-​Wilson on board to help us find our next house. I clearly remember handing David a typed out four page wish list of all the components we were looking for in a house. David was not fazed by this at all, and tackled my list with enthusiasm and great knowledge of the real estate market in the surrounding towns. His wonderful sense of humor and approachability made him so easy to work with. David patiently helped us navigate the countless house tours with three kids under seven in tow, which at times was a very harrowing process. His honesty about the pros and cons of each house was very refreshing and helpful in figuring out what we really needed and wanted in our next home. Our home sold within one week of listing, and soon after we found an amazing new home at a great price thanks to all of David’s hard work. Sven’s experience in buying and selling proved to be crucial in assuring the closings went smoothly, since we were closing on our former house and our new house on the same day. Elaine was instrumental in assuring all the paperwork got to all the right people so that both closings could occur back to back. After closing both houses and moving into our new house on the same day, we were happy but exhausted. It was such a welcome surprise for Elaine to send pizza to our new home so we wouldn’t have to cook dinner for three over-​tired children. David even took the time to come by that evening to see how the moving process went. Overall, listing, buying and selling with the Andersen Team was an excellent experience. We would highly recommend Sven, David and Elaine to anyone looking to sell their home or buy their next home in the Stoneham area.

It was the most enjoyable house buying experience, and I am so happy that Robin Foley suggested I work with this team because everyone was amazing and very helpful. And without Sara and Steve we would not have our dream home.

Sven is THE MAN! We are still reeling at how quickly Sven got our house on the market and sold. It has taken us several months to write this review as we wanted to take time to express how thankful we are for meeting Sven and his team. After interviewing other realtors we went with Sven. We felt comfortable with his style and presentation, felt he would do his best for us, and felt we could trust him. His use of high technology in presenting the Victorian essence of our home was impressive.
We first met Sven the middle of February and he counseled us to jump on the bandwagon due to the lack of inventory in Winchester. He asked if we could get the house ready in two weeks, which we had to expand to three as we were out of town for one week. Twenty five years of accumulated «stuff» and raising two children in a three story Victorian with a large carriage house was quite the feat. During this time Sven also helped and advised us over a few other issues that reared their ugly heads. Never could have done this without Sven and his dedicated team!
We had decided to downsize. Sven was very help in providing us different strategies to attack this enormous undertaking. Sven walked through the house as if he were a potential buyer, making great recommendations as to how to present the house for sale. We fixed what absolutely needed to be fixed to make the house more attractive to potential buyers (painting and minor carpentry), decluttered, and spruced up. We didn’t have to spend a lot of money to do this. The house was state-​of-​the-​art in 1990, decorated in the Victorian fashion, which we didn’t change, and it turns out, didn’t need to change.
During this time of prepping the house for sale, we actually had potential buyers come to look at, as my husband said, the demilitarized zone. Word had gotten out that the house was going on the market.
The time-​table for selling the house is still staggering to us. It was officially listed March 17, the realtors’ open house March 18, the public open house March 23, with many prospective buyers viewing the house during that week. Sven agreed with our wish to entertain offers on Monday, March 26. We accepted an offer that week, for over asking (!!!), went on to sign the P&S, and passed papers April 30. Can you believe that basically the house sold in a week (and I didn’t pay to do drastic staging)? Sven lived up to his promise (made in February) to sell the house in a week for over asking. What more can we say?
He and his team also provided valuable referrals for storage, moving, and finding another place. We had decided to downsize to Southern New Hampshire and he readily recommended a great realtor from the Winchester ReMax office who was licensed in New Hampshire. The same service that Sven provided us was also provided by Lorrie Gould, who thought outside the box and found us a great new home. We very much appreciated the continuity of ALL services that Sven and his team provided during a very stressful (as only selling a house can provide) time. The Sven Anderson team has always made us feel part of their family, even after the sale was completed.

Sarah Amico is an amazing agent and was instrumental in helping us purchase our home in Reading, MA. I would highly recommend working with her or anyone on Sven’s team when buying or selling a home.
My family relocated to Boston from the Cleveland area. Given our limited knowledge of Boston we we looking for an agent who is very familiar with this area, knowledgeable with homes ranging from new construction to 100+ years old, and most importantly patient and attentive throughout the buying process. Sarah was all of these things and more. She took the time to really understand our needs and wants. She figured out what we wanted very quickly and consistently showed us homes that were viable options for our family.
The market was very challenging, limited inventory and many competitive bid situations, and we were under time pressure associated with relocating for work. My husband and I have been looking for a home to buy since beginning of 2012. We were tired of working with RE agents who are not patient, not knowledgeable enough to point out things to watch out, or the style doesn’t fit us. So we decided to look for a house without an agent. We eventually made some unwise decision and I think partly is not having a knowledgeable agent with us. So come around 2013 we wanted to spend time to find an agent that really suits our needs. We started with Unilocal,immediately the Anderson Team popped up along with many. We looked into teams and individuals and called up a few to interview.
When we met Marie Montieth from The Anderson Team, we were welcomed by a big smile and the most warm welcome. Marie patiently sat us down to talk about what we are looking for and talked about each possible neighborhood. She was very knowledgeable, personable, and very professional. We decided to go with Marie, and we are so glad we did, she is the best buyers agent we’ve worked with. From small things like schedule to see a house, to pointing out pros and cons of a house, to more major stuff like getting down to do all the paperwork to buy a house. All the way she is on top of things, super efficient, and knows her stuff. Even when problem arise she’s confident and effective to communicate and solve any issue or talk us through it.
Even though within our budget we are far from many of the clients she work with, she never make us feel less important or that we are on the waiting list for her to get back to us. Marie is incredibly focused, dedicated, professional, yet never loses the warm approachable manner. She doesn’t push us to get what we don’t want, and she went over strategies and tell us what we need to hear as well.
The market is so crazy right now, we settled on something, but hope to look for a more permanent one in the future, and we will call Marie again, she’s the best!

Sven, Sarah, Robin, Elaine were instrumental in helping my wife and I sell our condo and purchase a single family home within a few short months. There were many highlights throughout the process that I could write a book about in how helpful they were, but I will list a few for you to get the idea. From the selling side, Sven made himself available (on short notice) to pay us a visit in the evening to walk us through the research his team had done in setting the best price to sell our condo as well as Staging recommendations. Sven smoothly dealt with several headaches presented to him in terms of setting up the open house and showings. In the end, we had several competitive offers that were significantly above list price. That wouldn’t have been possible without Sven and his team.
From the buying side, before working with Sarah, I had doubts as to how we can pull off a purchase of a single family home given our situation. But she recognized it and helped us put together a plan to overcome it. She spent several weeks with us viewing homes and quickly adapted to what we’re looking for and what we want to avoid. Once we secured a property we had wanted to place an offer in, I knew she was really looking out for us because she actually recommended going in at a price that was significantly lower than what I had thought to be the price we should go in at. I feel this is really important to mention because often times I feel the agent would just want to set a higher price so they can get a higher commission, but Sarah is definitely not one of them. In the end, we got the property with the price Sarah suggested and we couldn’t have been happier. She also recommended a mortgage broker and a real estate attorney that worked very well together to get through the «dreaded» loan process. I also couldn’t have been happier with those recommendations as well.
Robin and Elaine were very helpful operating behind the scenes to make sure that both the selling and buying process went without issues. They quickly got us the documents we needed to sign. They provided us with a checklist to make sure we keep track of our timelines and tasks. They answered all my questions in a timely manner. We’re certain that there were many other tasks they helped us with that we weren’t aware of.

Although Sven did not cover my town and could not partner with me, he still took the time to link me with another broker, and also was generous with his time in advising me on my sale. I recently sold my house with Sven Andersen. He is amazing and helped me get top dollar. When he presented the price range during the analysis I nodded at the low end of the range, but my eyes popped at the high end. I knew how much houses went for in my Winchester neighborhood and they didn’t go that high. Well, now they do!
Was it easy to get top dollar? No, I had to put quite a lot of effort into it, but Sven helped me to put together a team to move out the bookcases and clutter, paint, stage, clean and video the house. It went from an average looking house to something straight out of House Beautiful. I enjoyed living there for the very short time I still owned it. I kept shaking my head — I can’t believe this is my house!
I invested over $ 5,000 in doing everything Sven Andersen and the stager Shelly Walsh suggested. After we turned the house into a showcase, we bumped the price up by $ 20,000 from the bottom of the suggested range and put it on the market. I saw an incredible return on that investment.
Sven and his team posted the 24 beautifully lit photos and video on the internet and paid to promote the listing. We had over 1,000 views. He sent me regular updates on the activity. I felt sorry for the folks who used other realtors that posted a few dark photos and only got 100 or so views.
We had 20 showings booked the first week. Sven uses an online booking system so I could easily confirm appointments online or by phone within minutes of finding out about them.
We capped off the week with a one hour open house on Sunday. 42 people came to look. We set a deadline of Monday evening for offers. We received 4, several were over the asking price — by a lot! They had seen how many people were interested and put forward their best offers. We had achieved the eye popping top of the range in 7 days after putting it on the market. You can’t argue with results — Sven is the best!
All along the way Sven asked if there was anything else he or his team could do to help. His team, including Elaine and Robyn, were great at getting me all the information I needed with a very rapid turn around time. The Andersen team smoothed over some bumps that were introduced by the buyers and their agent. The Andersen team helped me to prepare for and pass the house inspections. They arranged for an electrician to install new smoke alarms and CO detectors for a reasonable price.
On moving day I used the movers Sven recommended and things were going smoothly. My neighbors came to pick up my gas dryer which I no longer needed. I had not realized I would need a plumber to disconnect the gas. Sven to the rescue! He found a plumber that answered the phone on Saturday of a long holiday weekend and was there in under an hour to disconnect it for $ 75. That worked for me.
On closing day the buyers agent showed up early for the walk through and frankly I was not ready. I was still trying to clean out the house. In short order Sven had connected with a junk removal person to take care of the rest of the basement and the house cleaner we had been using. We had the house empty and sparkling by that afternoon for a second walk through.
At all times I felt Sven and the team were on the ball and doing everything they could to make the house selling experience comfortable and productive. I give the Andersen Team my highest recommendation.

From pricing the house properly, to managing all the showings (and introducing us to anyone who could help get the house ready), Sven and his team went above and beyond to make sure every transaction was as easy as possible. He made sure we understood what was happening each step of the way and always had time for our questions – and we had a lot of questions!
Sven was our broker when we purchased our house in 2003. There was never a question about who we would use when it came time to sell our house nine years later. Sven and his team were on top of the market every step of the way. He was spot on with the list price. Our house was listed on a Monday, had multiple showings during the week, open house on Sunday, and sold on Monday (with multiple offers). Sven handled every transaction with unparalleled professionalism, getting the best possible price for our house with the least amount of angst.

My wife and I came to Sven for a new home and he delivered! We had a specific list of things we had to have and he patiently made sure to address each and every one. Real Estate is something of a family business in my clan (although I thankfully have nothing to do with it). So, I know that most realtors are dodgy people who know nothing about the areas they cover and are only out for their commission. Quite seriously, it is a business over run by amateurs and people without commitment to service. Not Sven!
Sven and his team don’t waste time, don’t push visits or showings on people, and don’t try to talk you out of what you want to sell you what they have. They do give you all the time you need, will do copious amounts of research for you, and won’t rush you out the door once your transaction is complete. I don’t know if it is his motto or where he came up with this, but I remember Sven driving me all over North Boston saying over and over again, «it’s gotta be right, Ken!» He wanted to find the house that I liked best, not the house that he thought he could sell me the best.
Sven was our buyer’s agent on our most region home purchase, which was in Winchester. Not only did Sven help find a house (which was a great find, not on the market, but very hot), but he helped us find the right landscaper, waste removal, handyman, and much more. Even though it has been nearly a year since our home purchase, Sven still checks in
from time to time.
Last but not least, Sven is an avid user of technology, and brings that to bear on his work. In short, he leaves nothing wanting, and should be your next real estate agent.
