Wimberley Collision

Wimberley Collision is great! I highly recommend this body shop to anyone! I have used them twice in the last few months and they have been nothing but professional and very helpful! The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. Ryan went out of his way to get me the information I needed. I loved the cleanliness of the shop and the fact that it wasn’t overly busy. Wimberley Collision definitely deserves a 5 star ranking!

Ok — my car was not fixed by these folks so I can not comment on that.
This was based on my experience picking them based on their Unilocal reviews, and reviewing their website…
I had a WRX I thought may have had frame damage I wanted checked out.
I have AAA and could have easily had AAA tow my car in for free, but looking at their website it appeared they offered towing and they made a big deal about «free shuttle service».
When I called to talk about having them work on my car I spoke to Ryan, I mentioned AAA once, but he just wanted to know my address — and I told him that if they were going to pick the car up that the next day late in the morning would be best for me. At no time did he say that they would charge me to pick my car up (or I would have had AAA do it).
The next day, they pick the car up — take it in, put it on the rack tell me that the frame isn’t bent, but the lower control arm is, and that it needs to go to an alignment shop for this repair and that they will take it there for no charge.
I am thinking WOW — THESE GUYS ARE SO FRICKIN AWESOME — I SHOULD TELL EVERYBODY…
And I kept thinking that until I get a phone call two hours later telling me that they delivered it to the body shop, and that I owed them $ 67 for the towing.
I am thinking WTF? And politely ask: «WHY DIDNT YOU TELL ME THIS BEFORE WHEN I COULD HAVE HAD AAA DO IT FOR FREE?»
He said — «I am sorry if there was a misunderstanding, but we always charge for towing» — not wanting a mechanics lien on my car I give him my credit card number.
–AT THIS POINT I AM JUST GLAD THEY DON’T HAVE MY CAR ANY MORE–
Hey Ryan, was collecting that $ 67 that you never told me about ahead of time worth it?

Horrible customer service just over the phone! I called just to find out how much an estimate would be before taking in my car and I was told the estimate would be free. I asked how much it would cost if we didn’t choose to go with their services and I received a sarcastic remark. When I explained I was shopping around I was then told just to bring the car in and I was hung up on before I could ask if an appointment was needed! Wimberley is a small town and I assumed I would be greeted with small-​town hospitality but instead it received nothing but rudeness. Needless to say I will not be bringing my car there! Maybe it was because I was a woman, but regardless, if they treat potential customers like that over the phone I can only imagine how they treat actual customers.
