Was very good while it lasted. I live in Wimberley, loved going here on Saturdays. They haven’t been there recently so I’ve been taking my appetite to Wimberley Café.

My husband noticed this place as we drove by. I thought it looked sketchy, but after reading the reviews we decided to go back and try it. I’m so glad we did. I had the chicken sandwich which was delicious and got even tastier after I added the sauce. I liked that sauce wasn’t tomato-y, but it was tangy. My husband had a brisket plate with potato salad and buracho beans. The brisket was tender and not fatty. It was so flavorful it didn’t need the sauce, but the sauce made it even better. The beans were a unique blend of onions, tomatoes, peppers, and red beans with nice seasoning. The mustard based potato salad was tasty. We really enjoyed that the recipes are all from various family members. Delicious!

I can’t claim to have eaten at every famous BBQ restaurant in Texas but this is definitely a good one. Brisket was tender, but not fatty. The smoked flavor was just right and not overpowering. The chicken was juicy. Portions were big for both the sandwich and tacos. If you are in the area, you should definitely stop!

We almost missed this place because our map sent us in the wrong direction! We had the Chopped Beef Sandwich and Brisket Tacos. Everyone was impressed. Great stop on the way to or from Blue Hole.

Excellent brisket, chicken and sausage. Great chili(hot sauce). And I’m pretty sure their tortillas are home made.

What is there to say about a side of the road trailer with a couple picnic tables and low key owner? Typical for this type of situation, the food is terrific, the service is top of the line, and the price — well — for my $ 7.99 to get two HUGE brisket tacos stuffed with his delicious brisket and cheese, fresh pico, and BBQ sauce along with potato salad and mexican rice– dinner was not needed. I love the food — and with new extended hours and consistent product, this is a weekly stop.

I tried a potato, egg and cheese taco. It was delicious and cheap.
