I’m awarding four stars because the young man made an effort to find som Diet Cranberry Juice for me but I ended up just buying some eggs. They were also kind enough to lend me pen and paper and let me use the personnel bathroom. Thank you, I might otherwise have had an accident in your store, and it was number 2.

This place has bailed me out of a trip to Elk Grove plenty of times. Brownie Mix? Check. Vanilla Extract? Check. If you live out in the boondocks that is Wilton, believe me, that extra dollar is worth more than it’s weight if it saves you a trip to Elk Grove. I also love all the Wilton themed clothing in there. I have continuously used the shirts and hats as Christmas gifts for those who have never heard of my little hometown. I love this place.

My first stop on my bike ride yesterday to Elk Grove. What happened to Galt, you ask? Been there, done it. No need to stop. Woman clerk was nice enough to tell me about a proposed bike route sponsored by a public group to convert a railroad line that runs from Stockton — to Wilton, just about twenty yards from Wilton Store — ending up near McClellan AFB. Since the track was still there with vegetation growing all over, told her I probably won’t even see that in my lifetime! She agreed. Nice woman. Took twenty minutes out of her day to converse. She dressed and looked like one of those 70s transplants from the Berkeley, San Francisco area… but she couldn’t be because she had elementary-age school children. BTW, bought some Twinkies, and Lipton Green Tea for $ 2.79. Yeah, Yeah, don’t tell me… Twinkies are sooo bad for you… It was either Twinkies or Sno-Balls… what I needed was the bad, but oh so good, stuff at that moment. The woman wished me a fun trip in Elk Grove… Next stop El Meson Mexican Grill in Elk Grove( ).
