Chou-Chou

Unfortunately, I am not a fan of this store. I will admit that the store carries a fair amount of nice items, but my issue is with a lack of customer service. I’ve been in this store approximately 5 times now and each time my experience has been the same (I was just in the store today and had the same experience again). Each time I’ve walked into the store to look around and am never greeted or asked if I needed help finding anything. What seems to happen is that the one salesperson is doting on one customer and one customer only. Today the salesperson (could have been the owner for all I know) was doting on two teenage girls while their mother (dressed in tennis gear — complete with visor) was walking around the store on her cell phone. There were several other customers in the store who were milling around looking as well. One of the women got fed up and went to the clothing store next door. The odd thing is that this is the kind of thing that has happened each time I’ve been in the store. It’s weird. I refuse to purchase anything here because of this and today was my last attempt at giving this store another chance. It’s too bad really. Oh well.

Why are there no reviews for this place? I have to admit I’ve been going to the movie theatre and Starbucks right there for years and never felt compelled to go inside until yesterday.
Yes, they most definitely carried clothes for the typical mommies running around Fairfield County. To me, it was like I found their uniform shop — lol! But aside from these «typical uniforms» you see on most of the local Stepford wives, Chou Chou also carried plenty of unique, interesting clothing & accessories. I happily walked out with some nice new clothes.
What was most impressive was the helpful and friendly staff. Where do you get that type of service these days? In very few places, sad to say. Here at Chou Chou, the staff was excellent. I will most definitely make this place part of my shopping arsenal from here on in.
