History

Established in 1993.

Sandelie West Nine was established in 1993 in rural Wilsonville. Our Water Tower pro shop is a famous landmark, built in the late 1800’s and rich with history. The course boasts seven Par 4’s, one Par 5 and one Par 3. We do not take tee times on the weekdays, but highly recommend them on the weekends.

As of 2015 we are proud to announce that we will be opening our venue for weddings and wedding receptions. We offer a beautiful outdoor tented area for your event at incredibly reasonable prices! If you’re looking for the perfect place to host your grad party, family reunion, company picnic or other summer gathering, look no further!

I am a new golfer and have gone here to play twice. It is nice for beginners, it’s easy, open and laid back. However, the staff wasn’t very nice and the quality of course for price you get isn’t great. They don’t allow walk alongs even though I had never played and my boyfriend was teaching me (he couldn’t play that day). They weren’t understanding at all. It’s $ 14 for 9 holes. You can play much nicer courses for a similar price. I may go back, but would probably go other places.

This is a personal favorite for my wife and me. I am an avid golfer, and I love the opportunity to golf whenever I can. My wife is still getting into the game and likes to go occasionally. Sandelie is the perfect place for us both to have a nice leisurely round of nine. The distance works great for her and it gives me a great chance to work on my short game. The staff is always friendly and they seem genuinely happy to have us on their course. To sum it up, it is just a fun place to play for an affordable price. We are sad to see the summer days getting shorter because we can’t fit in nine anymore after dinner.

If what you’re looking for is a quiet place you can play with your shirt off, look no further. This place, fondly referred to as «the pasture» by our little circle is not a pretentious one. We walk on, play at our leisure, and have fun. I’m no pro, usually double bogey out if it’s a good day. But this place is fun. Grass isn’t high end, hazards are few and far between. Makes for a fun 9 holes (on the west side) with a few beers. Many of the fairways are tight with heavily wooded areas on either side. I lost 2 balls today to bad slices on the 5th hole. (If you find my flourescent pink ball, let me know!) What I like about the pasture is no one cares if you suck. People are just out to have fun. And the occasional speedy single is more than happy to play through! Looking forward to a long summer here.

this course is a great place for players who are looking for a good price. There are no sand traps and most of the holes are open, straight fairways. a few holes offer a challenge where you can lose your ball to the deep brush and water hole but majority are great for beginners who are tires of the put and play and driving range. the handful of times I have played here I have never had a tee time and was able to walk right on. the location makes for a quiet and peaceful surrounding with some beautiful scenery.

The Sandelie West nine on Advance Road in Wilsonville is a great little treasure. I rate it a two because I have seen better, much better. But don’t let that discourage you from playing. I had a great time smackin balls there.
There are some long drives, good greens, and no noise from the planet. It was so peaceful.
The critiques are that all of the holes are straight, there were some pretty good sized mud puddles in the fairways, the fairways had a lot of dirt areas, and several fairways were open to other fairways so it felt like playing in the park. But I still had a good time, of course that may be based on the fact that I wasn’t at work.
I will return, the price is great, and it’s very convenient for me.

To me Sandelie (East 18) is a great place to play practice rounds or meet buddies for a quick round on short notice. Typically you can complete a round in 3 hours here. Staff is super-​friendly and management has recently made some great improvements to the tee boxes. The greens are mostly dome-​topped, which makes them more challenging than you’d think, given there is no bunkering. The course is one of the more scenic and secluded in the area. People I have introduced to the course either really like it or find the greens strange and just won’t come back. Personally, I think its a good value for $ 25 mid-​week /​$ 28 weekends.

People who work here, great! Quality of the course, good. Challenge of the course, BOO! Like I said, nice people, green golf course, no bunkers, and what’s with the gas golf karts — too loud! For the money good, for the experience, other places come to mind.
