Critter Cabana

We have gotten our two boys from critter cabana and both times we have had great customer service. The staff replied promptly to our emails/​phone calls asking questions about their breeds and basic puppy needs. Our boys are healthy and happy. Love this place and even though it’s a bit of a drive for us, we always go back.

This place is horrible. They give wrong information, not to add they like to switch prices around on people. I called in asking for a quote on an animal I got there and he (Scott) changed the price on me. This place is bad. Furthermore, if you read other reviews on this place they are made by people who work there.

YES THEY PROVIDE PARTY SERVICES! We had CC come out to our home (SMALL per mileage fee/​great per guest fee) and they had an hour meet and greet with about 10 critters (we could specify a few must haves and a few must NOT haves ;)
My daughter was turning 9 and we had about 9 same aged friends — MICHELLE was awesome not only with the critters (KNOWLEDGEABLE, humorous, engaging) but wonderful and patient with all the girls. As you can imagine the range of interest was hesitant to over enthusiastic. Michelle handled it ALL in stride.
We enjoyed having Critter Cabana as a birthday party so much we are having them again next month for our younger daughter’s party!
VERY reasonable pricing /​educational /​engaging /​fun! /​comical (depending on your audience!) /​Would recommend to ANYONE with children that like animals of ANY kind!

Hands down best pet store outside of portland… heck probably best store in entire pdx region. They have everything from puppies to saltwater fish and reef.

Cute critters but staff was rude and unhelpful. I drove all the way from Vancouver to look at animals and ended up leaving after 5 minutes. Customer service skills needs a major tune up.

We got everything we needed for my daughters bearded dragon at Critter Cabana. The employees were super helpful ensuring that we had all that we needed before we brought our pet home. They are currently working on the ability to supply feeder insects for reptiles.

This is what a Pet Shop should be. There is a wide variety of pets & lots of merchandise themed with the type of pet that you have or wish to purchase from Critter Cabana.
I prefer to give my business to local independent retailers, Critter Cabana earned my business.
We purchased a female parrotlet, the staff was very knowledgeable about this wonderful creature. The staff are specialists. Fish, Insects, reptiles, amphibians, Birds, Dogs, Cats, Rabbits, small mammals, you name it, they have it, AND they KNOW ABOUT THE ANIMALS & MERCHANDISE.
A breath of fresh air. This type of retail experience is becoming more & more Rare. I give them the best possible rating.

I love this place! It helps me when I get the desire to buy a new kitty to add to my kitty collection. I love that they let you hold and cuddle the animals, but it does make me sad that they don’t choose to sell rescue animals. Hanging out and cuddling with the fluffy animals has stopped me from buying more pets than my apartment can hold. Their cat food selection is great and they have far more options of grain-​free foods than most anywhere else. I love it here.

Fun pet store to go to and meet lots of animals! My husband and I swore we would never buy anything from there, as it is very overpriced. Wouldn’t you know it, we caved and bought a puppy. That’s right. Thanks to Critter Cabana we now have the cutest dog in all of Wilsonville! I still think the place is overpriced. Also, you can rarely hold the animals because they’re too young. Seems standard with pet stores, but it is annoying. The staff is friendly. Though I will say, they don’t know much about dogs. Apparently ours was a «chorker,» (which doesn’t actually exist). Come to find out, she is a chihuahua/​doxen. Not Yorki, not cocker spaniel.
Anyway. When you’re selling puppies who really cares about much else?

This place is amazing, and they fix things that viewers comment on. Yes I’ve seen this place have poor conditions, but they are trying to make them better. They are also willing to help show you that the puppies are not from puppy mills. I only wish this place had saltwater, or better aquarium supplies.

Love this place! You can come in and just play with the animals very good place to take a young child when they are bored! Getting a guinea pig and are so excited. Recommend coming here!

We’ve visited this place several times for several different reasons: wanting to buy a betta fish, looking for kittens and to look around at what they have.
They only have kittens when they are available (probably mostly during the spring and summer) because we’ve come looking for kittens and had no luck but then this last time we went there were TONS of them. I do like that they only adopt out kittens that have been homeless or dropped off at their establishment.
The betta fish: they didn’t have them one one visit and then when they did they did NOT look good so we ended up going to Petsmart across town.
We did end up purchasing a kitten from here. I’d say it’s a little overpriced considering our kitten hadn’t had any shots and also wasn’t spayed or neutered so we will have to pay for that ourselves. The kitten room seemed clean and we were able to take our kitten home that day which we really wanted. The process was a little lengthy… a lot of paperwork to go over. We were educated on «proper diet and litter» etc… some of it seemed a little bit «hippy» to me (not buying clay cat litter/​making sure their food doesn’t have grain in it). But the girl was super nice and answered all our questions. They did give us quite a few discounts on litter boxes, scoops, litter, food etc and several free things were thrown in there. Overall we left $ 181 poorer but with pretty much everything we needed and our new adorable kitten. She has proven to be a great cat for our family with lots of personality.
Oh — they DID pay for the initial visit to the Vet for us so that we could have the kitten looked at and made sure that everything looked okay… but they don’t pay for any vaccines or anything. She said they usually give the kittens their first shots and deworm them but they were out of both of those so I had to pay out of pocket at the vet to make sure we had those things taken care of.
We will probably continue to go to critter cabana for cat litter and cat food but I’d say use caution when buying there. The store in general is REALLY chaotic because of all the animals that roam and that can be pet and held. Several of the items we bought were incredibly dusty and things aren’t always super clean. But we love our kitten and we’re glad we found her.

Took my dog to the salon and she turned out great. Friendly staff and great location.

Great environment. They always have puppies, most of which are old enough to be handled. I get my dog groomed there for a very reasonable price ($ 35 for a Standard Poodle). All three groomers do a great job.

We love coming in here to hold the puppies! Can’t wait till they get more labs!

Oh my gosh this place rocks… super clean… loads of modern toys, healthy food… birds~fish~puppies~goats~turtles~snakes~lizards. Amazing! When you walk through the door you will NOT SMELL PET STORE FUNK… this place is kept super clean. We are very impressed! There are glass cages on the floor — open on the top so you can hold and pet the puppies — goats — rabbits — lizards… this is how a pet store should be. Do not be surprised when you turn down a isle and there is a tortoise wandering down the isle. there are 2 – 3 loose in the store… along with a huge white (BEAUTIFUL) dog and a bird or two. We brought our two dogs in for the grooming — and Trinity DID A WONDERFUL JOB! The dogs were not nervous or shaking when we picked them up — the cut was FAB and Trinity was sweet and tender with the dogs. We will be back to have her cut them next month! Super place!

A seriously FANTASTIC place. I mean come on, puppies, ferrets, bunnies, hamsters… all of which you get to hold without bothering anybody.
Sometimes I go just to boost my mood and to cuddle with the adorableness, and sometimes I go to get things for my own pets– each time the staff is incredibly friendly and awesome. They have a great fish selection too!
Their prices are usually cheaper than the bigger shops, so why not support them!!!
Be careful… some of the birds won’t like you. I’m guessing their tired of everyone and their mother trying to pet them. Birds don’t like getting pet.

Again, thanks to the wonderful Jen K., we found a fabulous place to get our dogs groomed. Both Beckett (our tri-​pawed) and Holly were long overdue to get their nails trimmed and this place fit the bill (in more than one way) today.
I called this morning to see if we could make appointments and lucky for us they had a slot for 2pm. Before I get into the story of this cool place, I will say that their prices are super reasonable– in fact half of what we pay at home and the groomers were fantastic asking appropriate questions and telling us when they estimated our dogs would be ready. They were even able and willing to accomodate our schedule since we had a plan to see an afternoon movie with the family allowing us to pick them up around 6pm.
We had to buy a new harness (long overdue) for Beckett and the staff here were incredibly helpful in finding the right size and adjusting it to fit him. He is now sporting a lovely blue harness instead of his old crappy red one.
This store is amazing albeit a little dirty. The dirty isn’t in a «bad» way, it is mostly because there are all kinds of people roaming around looking at all kinds of really cool animals and some really cool animals roaming around as well. Today, we saw puppies, birds of all kinds, large tortoises, smaller turtles, all sorts of reptiles, bunnies, amphibians and the list goes on. We felt like we were visiting a bit of a zoo and a cool one at that.
If I lived in the area, this would be our regular grooming place. I already plan on making an appointment for our dogs when we return at Christmastime and I love the fact that this place is family run and owned. Every person we came in contact with today was super nice and very helpful.

This is one of the nicer pet stores in the area and one of the few that is independent. The staff is nice, but I think it can be a challenge to walk the line between pet store and petting zoo.
They have a large amount of animals available for love and attention, including a kitty room, but I don’t know how much they translate those visits into sales. I hope they do and I try to make a point of buying something every time we visit. Prices feel more like pet boutique than discount pet store and they carry some of the nicer product lines.
The dogs are usually a mix of purebreds and mixed breeds with ridiculously adorable names. The puppies are in open pens, so it is easy to reach in and pet them. New arrivals have a «STOP» notice if they need to be kept a little quieter. I’m a little conflicted about pet store animals, but these all seem active and well cared for, not overly sedated.
They also have a good selection of reptiles. They have posted ‘rules’ about handling animals, but unfortunately during the last couple of visits they have been out of hand sanitizer. I’d recommend you bring your own.
Definitely on my boys’ favorites list in Wilsonville. Located just behind Red Robin, it is hard to do one without the other.
