Craft Technologies, Inc. is a contract laboratory specializing in the analysis of nutrients, vitamins, carotenoids, bioflavonoids and phytochemicals in a variety of samples, such as serum, tissue, foods and dietary supplements. We use the latest analytical methods, including HPLC, UHPLC, GC, MS and ELISA, to provide our clients with quality measurements they can trust. Our scientific staff brings decades of knowledge and experience to your projects.

History

Established in 1994.

CTI Nutrition Laboratory was founded in 1994 with a vision to provide two things 1) expert and experienced laboratory analysis of vitamins and carotenoids 2) methods of testing for nutritional deficiencies in the most needy areas of the world. Today our vision remains the same, but with an emphasis to impact our local community, our nation and our world by advancing nutrition globally.

Business Owner

Dr. Neal Craft received a BS in Human Nutrition from Ohio State University, MS in Human Nutrition from Virginia Tech and Ph.D. in Nutritional Sciences from the University of Maryland. Dr. Craft has been involved in the development of chromatographic methods since 1984. His career began at the USDA, Human Nutrition Research Center in Beltsville, MD and moved to the Organic Analytical Research Division of NIST and served as Clinical Coordinator of the NCI/​NIST Micronutrient Quality Assurance Program involving over 50 laboratories internationally. He has authored or coauthored over 60 peer-​reviewed articles; made over 80 presentations in 18 countries around the world.

In 1994, he founded Craft Technologies, Inc., (CTI) to provide specialized laboratory services to industry, government and academia. CTI clients include: Cornell, Duke Univ, Johns Hopkins, OSU, UNC, UofA, Moffitt Cancer Center, USDA, CDC, NCI, Sight and Life, UNICEF, USAID and World Health Organization.
