Union Park Collision Center & Body Shop

Not sure how my review was posted for this company as it was intended for the BMW dealership in Wilimington DE and was originally posted to their site.
First let me start off by stating that I own a 2007 525xi with over 264k miles. I am not new to BMW service and the car has only been maintained by BMW. I went to this BMW location because I needed to add coolant to the car and was told by two separate locations that I can easily stop at any location and get the coolant capped off — no problem. Well, this is my 2^nd visit to this location and I will NEVER return. The Assistant Service Manager — G. Shaer is very condescending and appears to exhibit behavior that it is a privilege to be in his presence. I stopped by @ 7 a.m. and he recommended that I go to an auto shop to purchase coolant (well you cannot do that since they don’t sell BMW supplies), the Parts department did not open up until 8 a.m. so he recommended that I have a seat, purchase coolant from the Parts department at which point they would have no issue topping it off. This guy has a negative demeanor about him, even checked my car and indicated to me that I needed maintenance (of which I am very aware of and have an appointment scheduled to do so somewhere else in Delaware). Bottom line, I read negative reviews about this place before my visit but had to experience it myself. Please note with over 264K miles that I have frequented many shops in Flemington, Union, Morristown and Main Line in PA and all have been pleasurable experiences. Interesting enough (while I waited) I placed a call to the Main Line location and the lovely receptionist — Linda, told me to come right in. Upon my arrival, they capped the coolant (without requiring that I purchase it from the Parts department) and within 20 minutes I was on my way to work. Bottom line — I made my service appointment an hour away from my home and refuse to service my car at this location even if it breaks down in the area. The irony of my experience is that it’s a BMW dealer and I know through regular maintenance of my car by several other locations that the service here is reprehensible. I would suggest that management connect with the Flemington BMW service department in New Jersey as they are phenomenal and can probably transfer some of their knowledge and how to treat a customer!

I will never recommend or take my vehicle back to this place. I bought my car here since i PURCHASED my car with them. They hard to catch up with to make the appointment after they were given authorization, they I just found out that they never corrected the problem. Butch the one in charge of the department has zero customer service. I even had to have my rental for a week because they did not finish on time. Then when I picked it up… half my tank of gas was missing. I was told to send in proof that I had just filled my tank up. So I did. Butch ignored it. Why ask for proof then not address the letter? The CFO told me that the mileage shows they did not take the car out at all. So I am wondering how do you correct an issue if you did not drive it to hear it? Which story is it? Since they did not correct when they were suppose to now I have to put out more than $ 190.00 for their error. Really? Please take your car anywhere else. They really just do not care. I will be taking them to court about this. How unfair.

Ok dealership. Attention to detail lacking. For example they wash and vacuum your car with service which is nice touch but they don’t vacuum back seat carpet; only front seat!!! Also tough to get loaner cars. Lastly would be great if they took Apple pay to allow customers to pay for service. Bmw is supposedly hi tech and the dealers should embrace this as well and have accept Apple pay for payment.

I hate this place. Martin Honda in Newark, DE is a step above, but not by much. I’ve had several horrible experiences and IF I am in the area and absolutely have to go to a Honda dealership and not a Sears or someplace similar, I’ll make the extra drive to West Chester, PA.
One time I dropped it off to see if anything was wrong with it; they gave me a ride in the shuttle home and said they would call when it was done. yeah. (hear that sarcasm???) I called several times to check on it and then called again at 5pm at which point they advised that there was nothing wrong with it, they didn’t do any work it was done hours ago, and they would still charge me the fee of $ 80 for having it looked at. Yet, I never received a call alerting me they were finished. Day wasted.

Anthony from the BMW Service department was awesome! Very helpful, friendly, and patient. I took my 2006 bmw 530xi to union park and they treated me with respect and courtesy. I highly recommend this place.

UPV is the only place I had my S60 serviced and the guys there were awesome. Price might be high but your not driving some P.O.S. vehicle you are driving the safest vehicle on the road so a higher price to service the car should not be the concern

This is a great Body shop. My Volvo got hit from an uninsured motorist and the guys at Union Park BODY SHOP did such a great job. Very caring and customer friendly. You are their guests and they treated you very well until you are totally satisfied.

Try to do this on UNION PARK VOLVO SERVICE. You get S**T ! Totally the opposite. All they care is to get your money outta the wallet to fix the unnecessary parts and threw the key to you. «Here is your key ! See ya ! » No More Service from this joint !
