The Siegel J houses a state-of-the-art fitness center, indoor and outdoor pool, preschool, after school child care and camp programs, as well as a gymnasium, rock wall, and tennis and racquetball courts. Our thirty two-acre family campus offers a wide array of outdoor recreational services including beach volleyball, a jogging track, ropes course, and picnic area. The Siegel J is also home to especial events, Jewish holiday celebrations and cultural arts programming.
We offer everyone the opportunity to come take a tour and receive a guest pass to try us out!
The Siegel JCC is a non-profit community center where people come together as a community to learn, share and celebrate. We inspire and connect people of all ages, faiths and backgrounds through social, educational, cultural, fitness and recreational opportunities, in a warm and welcoming environment. The J represents a feeling of home for kids, families, teens, singles, seniors and everyone in between.
History
Established in 1901.
October 31, 1901 — Rosa Topkis called a meeting at her home on King Street. From that meeting was born the YMHA.
March 15, 1954 — The YM-YWHA officially changes its name to the Jewish Community Center. Community leaders begin to recognize the need for a new building.
May 3, 1970 — The new JCC officially opens.
October 12 — 14, 2001 — The JCC celebrates 100 years of service to the community.
June 27, 2004 — The JCC is renamed the Bernard and Ruth Siegel Jewish Community Center at it’s 70th Annual Meeting.
June 2005 — The new Pincus-Grant Fitness Center and Early Childhood Center wings open to the membership.
May 2009 — Outdoor toddler pool at the Family was totally refurbished.
March 2011 — Jcade comes to the Siegel JCC. Jcade is a game room, classroom, and community room, which offers education and engagement to help people become more active.
