I had amazing massages by Dane and by Maggie, before she left. The worst decision that I made was to take advantage of their pre-pay for two get one free plan. Had the first massage. Scheduled the second and showed up at the new location. Found out my appt was cancelled without my knowledge. While figuring out the details, two other women came in for appts that had also been cancelled at the same time. The salon apologized, he rents their space. I left a message with the company, and sent two emails. No answer. Yesterday I was told by the salon that he told them via text that the business has closed. I feel like I’ve been scammed and now I’m out two massages and/or $ 75. Hoping to get a response or I’ll be contacting the better business bureau.

I too purchased a Groupon to Serenity Massage; however, my experience has been much different than the reviewers above. I didn’t find the location that difficult to find, GoogleMaps on my phone took me right there and it seems as though the business is run by a few massage therapists that rent a space that they’re not really able to alter(yes, the waiting area was not neccessarily ‘spa-esqe’),(but, since they’ve moved to a location above a salon, it’s no longer a factor). The rooms themselves were great! Warm, realxing, smelled great! Personally, I don’t care about what the waiting room looks like… what I was looking for was a quality massage! I found it! I can vouch for the therapist that I see– I have received many massages from many different therapists at different locations(Spas, Chiropractors, etc.), I also suffer from a back condition and experience very intense back pain; additionally, I am on my feet constantly as a nurse… Jerrie is by far the best I have ever seen! I’m not even joking! She is one of those therapists that doesn’t just ‘go through the motions’, she geniunely touches, and feels, and works out the tension and the knots. I never have to say to her«Gee, my neck hurts, work on that.» Inevitably, every time I’ve been, she may ask what has been bothering me, but she finds those points and she works them! I’ve even referred my mother and purchased massages for my husband because she’s THATGOOD! Making appointments has improved since they got their online appt making system, but could still be improved. Again, because this is run by the massage therapists themsleves, there was never a seperate person running a ‘front desk’. I’ve continued to go back, and am definitely a long time customer as long as Jerrie continues to be as awesome as she is!

this place is a scam and a joke… my boyfriend bought it for me as a gift. after numerous attempts to schedule an appointment and it took days to get a call back, I then finally got an appointment scheduled. to show up, wait an hour to have NOONE show up. Now I have to deal with living social to get my money back as they won’t even call me back

Very disappointed with this place. I am never buying another massage from groupon! I have tried CALLING them, EMAILING them, and SHOWINGUP at their studio. When I called, no one answered. When I showed up at their studio during the hours they were supposed to be open, no one was there. They responded to me once by email, but only to tell me they were booked until late August. I replied asking them what day in August I could book an appointment. I got NO response. I tried emailing them two days ago and still got no response. This is getting ridiculous. They sold way too many groupons and now they can’t accommodate everyone. The promotional value for my groupon expires December 18, 2013. I hope I get to schedule a massage soon.

This place is a scam. After my fiancé tried trying multiple times to book an appointment over the phone and email using a Living Social voucher, nobody has responded to any of her messages to confirm an appointment over a period of 2 months. Very disappointed and fristrated by the experience. There are too many decent massage shops in the area to have to put up with the this one. Save yourself the hassle.

I bought a groupon for this place as well. Called to make an appt about a month before my groupon was to expire. Was told i needed to book by the expiration date but they were booked till the expiration date and i did not have my work schedule for after that date. When i had my schedule i called back. It was a monday. No one answered and i left a message. Received a phone call back hours later(i missed the call and no message was left). Called again on thursday and left message. No return phone call. Called again on friday and left message. Again, received no return phone call. Friday night, i wrote an email in attempt to schedule an appt before my expiration date(which was that saturday). Never received a response to my email or any of my calls in the second part of the week. Of course, my groupon expired and i never received the massage as no one ever contacted me back! Terrible customer service. Not sure how they plan on keeping a business open without any customers!

I took a risk and bought a living social deal for this place when there were no reviews online under this or its former name(Viva Massage). They told me when I went to go get my 60 min massage that the place had been open for a year, but they were still trying to turn it into a more formal business. The place is located in an office park and it looks like a cheap apartment inside(there is a kitchen counter and the waiting room looks like the common room of a college dorm). There is no receptionist, so whoever is working answers the phone only if they are not giving a massage. I didn’t realize this when I tried to call several times with no answer. Since I was never in my office(I work in a lab most of the day) to receive a call back after leaving a message, I found that emailing(address at the top of their webpage) was really the only way to make an appointment. I didn’t realize it was really acceptable for a service-based business to not answer their phone, but after seeing how small the business is, I guess it works. After I emailed, I was able to get an appointment within another day. They were able to book me for an evening appointment in about 2.5 weeks. The place is hard to find, despite them telling me it was across the street from Pat’s and despite having studied the location on google maps before leaving, so give yourself an extra five minutes to find it. There are two office parks right next to each other; it’s the one not on the corner, and it has light colored buildings, as opposed to the dark ones next door. Once in the parking lot, you go to the driveway on the left that goes down and the place is on your left, in a unit with an accountant, I believe. The massage itself was pretty good. I had a young girl with highlights(I don’t remember her name) as a masseuse, and although I am not a massage expert having only had a few professional ones in my life, the massage certainly felt good and was relaxing. Although the waiting area and all was not spa-like by any means, the massage room was appropriately relaxing. Everything seemed clean enough. After arriving 3 minutes late, filling out a new client form, undressing and dressing, my 60 min massage turned into about a 35 minute one. I felt that she left me too much time to fill out the form and get undressed since I was waiting for quite a few minutes, but I should have gotten there earlier. She gave me a bottle of water at the end. Overall, if you are fine with emailing for an appointment or waiting by your phone for them to call back, then this place is just fine for a coupon price. I wouldn’t pay full price, but I’m not someone who highly values this type of service.
