Our fun and talented team of local artists will guide you step by step through the night’s featured painting. Our classes are $ 35 for 2 hour paintings and $ 45 for 3 hour paintings, so there’s something for everyone. Our classes are great for dates, birthdays, girls’ night out, or just because! History

Established in 2014.

Corks N Canvas was started in 2007 by Cathy Deano and Renee Maloney in Mandeville, Louisiana. The concept pairs instructional art with friends, wine and a lively instructor to produce individual works of art. With four locations in the Greater New Orleans Area, the company began franchising the business as Painting with a Twist® in 2009. To date, 173 franchise locations are open all over the country.

Samantha Miller, the owner of the local Wilmington Painting with a Twist, started with the company at the Charlotte location and quickly realized this was something she wanted to do in the long run. Being a perpetual beach baby, Wilmington was the obvious choice for location, and she hasn’t looked back once.

Come join the fun for our various events, from Date nights, Girls Night out, Bachelorette Parties, and even Kid’s Parties! Our favorite event, Painting with a Purpose, happens once a month and we donate 50% of the profits to a local charity. Our first one raised over $ 650!

Business Owner

29-​year-​old Samantha grew up in Charlotte by way of Southern California and is absolutely smitten with Wilmington. She graduated from the Savannah College of Art and Design with a BFA in Illustration and specializes in illustrating children’s books when not running Painting with a Twist. Her sidekick and studio mascott is Finn McCool, her border collie mix, who can be seen in the studio sometimes during the day. Come by and say hello!
