History

Established in 1987.

April 1987 to January 2010

In 1986, Wesley Bowman was director of a private rehab for addicts and alcoholics. He began seeing a growing number of outcome studies suggesting that OP treatment could be as effective as or more effective than IP treatment.

In April of 1987, PACE, Inc. began offering services at Delaware Family Center. Most people had no idea what IOP meant and private rehabs had spent millions of dollars convincing everyone that the only way someone gets sober is through 28 days in a rehab.

Things began to grow and Companies who offered Employee Assistance Program services, began requesting that PACE provide these services. In 1994, under the direction of Bruce, PACE began to flourish and moved to the Woodmill Corporate Center. Bruce opted to start his own business and purchased PACE in October 1999.

Although much has changed since Wes opened the facility, the same commitment to clinical integrity remains the cornerstone of the facility.
