Another great PT’s Experience on Military Cutoff. Shocked at how clean they keep this place with the volume of business. Bathrooms spotless!

Yum! We are new to the area and we were told this was a good place to try. My husband and I took our 3 boys and they all Loved it. My youngest son said«this is by far the best hamburger I’ve ever had». He’s 7! Woah! I had the turkey sandwich and it was great. I also had their lemonade. Yummy! I didn’t mind the price because the food was pretty good! We got lots of fried which my kids were happy about. The services was also excellent. Location: it was hard to see from the street because it’s behind another store but once you know it’s there you’re good to go.

This is wonderfully located on the way to and from Wrightsville beach! They serve all type of food from burgers to salad. They serve amazing burgers and they have really nice staff.

Great little no frills burger joint. Setup is like Char Grill… you walk in, grab a pad, and write down your order. You can order burgers, chicken sandwiches, grilled cheese, chicken tenders, and a black bean burger for the vegetarians out there. I got the 8 oz. burger with mayo, tomato, lettuce, ketchup, pickles, and mushrooms(extra fifty cents). The burger was juicy and just a teeny bit overcooked for my taste, but I prefer medium rare. The price of the sandwich includes a side of seasoned fries, or you can get a side salad for an up charge. I stuck with the fries. They came out thin and crispy, seasoned with what tasted a bit like steak seasoning with additional garlic. The service was friendly and quick, and the ambiance is nice and casual. High top tables, bar seating, and outdoor seating are all options. Might have to do a little rearranging of furniture for parties larger than 4 but it should be easy to do. I would definitely come back to this place on my next Wilmington visit.

Easily the best burger joint in town. Everyone is nice and laid back. The service is always spot on. One of my favorite places.

I’m a new local to Wilmington. I kept hearing that PT’s was the best local burger joint so my friends and I headed in to see for ourself. They did not disappoint. The burgers were awesome, but the fries were amazing. Give PT’s a try. Good stuff.

Good but expensive. Smallest grilled cheese ever and fries were a bit soggy for my liking. PT dog was yummy.

Food was great — same as all the other great PT’s locations in Wilmington/Leland. However I watched as they gave my take-out order to another person who they had to chase down in the parking lot when they realized their mistake. Oops!

Friendly servers, good food, reasonable prices, GREAT fries, what more could you ask? And if you’re watching the calories, the side salad in place of fries is very good too. This is a great place to eat.

Great burger, great fries, fast great service! The only suggestion I would add. Is to make a 4 – 5 oz instead of cutting in half the 8oz

Best burger in town hands down! They have lots of other options for non-burger lovers too, which makes it a great place to eat with Family or friends. If you’re looking to try something new on the menu, try the turkey sandwich with grilled onions and Texas Pete, AMAZING. Fries are the best, topped with special seasoning that you will crave after trying. The truly best part of this location is the kick-butt staff. The owner is an incredible guy who knows how to run the place right! All in all, if you’re a local or just visiting, you have to check out Pt’s on Military Cutoff!

Pretty pricey for decent food. As mentioned in someone else’s comment, it was a little bit to salty for me. Decent atmosphere and seating. You can also tell the genuine hard workers to the ones hardly working and gossiping about you.

I have never understood this place, locals love it, not me. No flavor burgers, although the 8oz is passable, the 4oz is just flavorless. Burnt soggy fries. Rock hard seating. AND if you arrive after 1pm for lunch, you get a burger from a water bath that was leftover from the lunch crowd… fail.

Well, we had always heard how good their burgers were, so we went We both ordered burgers, one larger than the other. Here are my complaints – the benches were very uncomfortable, the large burger had a puny bun that didn’t cover the burger, and the fries were dark, a sign that the grease was old. We will not return. They are not the best burgers that we have had.

PT’s is where we go for burgers, period. Here’s how I roll: 4oz PT Burger(or sometimes Garden Burger) Circle all the options, except for onions Jack Cheese Add: Jalapenos That’s how you do it. Their burgers come with fries, naturally, and a drink of your choice. The FRIES are amazing. Simply amazing… what is that lemon pepper? Hit me! Sit at the bar, or bar-like tables inside. You can order outside, too, if the weather’s nice. This is not a place to sit for long time, but their burgers and fries are top-NOTCH.

Love the fresh cut fries and the service. I just wish they would paddy a 5oz burger as opposed to cutting a 10oz in half on the grill.

I am fully convinced that PT’s makes the best burger you can put your lips around in Wilmy-wood. I can’t believe I have been so selfish having chowed down their burgers, and the occasional dog with seasoned fries and an Arnold Palmer and not told anyone how scrummy each trip to P. T’s really is. I have my pet picks of two locations, the Carolina Beach one and Mayfaire. It is interesting to note that there are subtle differences between each. LIke one gang likes to season their fries a little more liberally leaving me with a tongue and lip pucker from the salt and maybe lemon pepper?. Not a bad thing, You can tweak your menu to add or subtract what makes you happy. I sampled a few other items on the menu besides the celebrated(and well deserved) P.T. Burger. Who is P.T. anyway? And the BLT is especially yummy. I can’t seem to stop ordering the burger to really find out anyway. I only allow myself one trip a month, to keep the calories down, but oh, what a pleasure it is.

The grilled chicken sandwich is my favorite. Fries are top notch. Service is good. There’s never a long wait even though P.T.‘s is very popular in Wilmington.

This place is getting 5 stars from me because in Wilmington, this place has the best burgers you will find!!! PT’s has been around since my college days, so let’s just say, a few years now. I used to frequent the location near campus but now when I visit ILM, I go to the one on Military Cutoff since it is located near all the shopping locations I dearly love. When you dine at PT’s, you have to know what you’re doing. I love watching the newbies come in and not know how to order or where to sit, etc. If you are going in for the first time, here is some helpful tips: 1. choose whether you want to dine inside or out. 2. Go to the counter and pick up an ordering pad. Start checking off what sandwich you want, what toppings, etc. As stated above, burgers are the best ever but the chicken sandwiches are also top knotch! 3. Pick your side item, the fries are SUPERDOOPERAWESOME! I’m pretty sure they are sprinkled with crack because you can’t get enough of them. 4. Hand the order form to to the helpful person at the counter and go find a seat — good luck with that! 5. Wait for your name to be called and hold your hand up and here comes your food! 6. After you are done stuffing yourself with the best burger in ILM, you go back to the counter and pay for your food. 7. Come back and thank me for the recommendation to PT’s for the best burger in town!

After reading reviews we decided to visit this chain. I wanted to go to the original location but due to timing and closeness to our hotel, chose the Military Cutoff location. Not sure I made the right decision being a «first time» experience. We ordered the PT Burger(4oz), Grilled Chicken, Turkey and PT Dog. Two drinks were the lemonade. Grilled Chicken was outstanding, the PT Dog was very good and the lemonade was quite delicious. Two main issues though … first the Turkey was extremely salty. Eaten but very poor. Secondly, instead of the 8oz, the 4oz(PT Burger) was ordered. One would expect to receive a real 4oz patty but instead on the bun was a CUTINHALF patty.(supposedly the 8oz cut in half). Not sure if that is standard practice at this chain but for me, that doesn’t cut it. I want a patty that spreads across the whole bun not — fit in the middle of a bun. I didn’t question it. Meal was okay, however, the hotdog IMO was a bit overpriced compared — to what the price was for the chicken burger.
