Marisco Agua Verde Restaurant

Came here Saturday afternoon for a quick lunch break and man was it packed! I ordered the Camarones Aguachile aka the spiciest shrimp you’ve ever had! I feel like my nose was running for the next few days! Anywhoo… they are super busy on the weekends but they have a decent parking lot so that’s a plus. The food was delicious and didn’t take too long despite the wait. The servers however, seem a little disorganized, running around the place like chickens with their heads cut off. From one random section to the next. My only complaint would be that they definitely need a better system with that. It took my server 3 visits and 15 min to drop off the check, bring back the check, and get me a to-​go box. But overall I’ll be back the shrimp was too good to pass up!

Finally found a great seafood place in the southbay area.
Fresh seafood, with good taste and friendly service.
Oysters are fresh, aguachiles are delicious and fish tacos amazing.
Definitely coming back.

Great friendly service and okay ambiance. The value is very good for what we got. My chili verde burrito was huge for $ 7 with free chips and salsa. Our younger waitress who couldn’t speak much English was the nicest waitress around. Would come back just for her friendly service. My Mom’s chili rellenos were a little too salty and too much batter. My burrito was great.

Best seafood in the south bay! Super friendly staff. I like to come here at least twice a month when I’m in the mood for some shrimp

Ok so this place is kind of a hit or miss. With the exception of the aguachiles, agua mineral preparada (mineral water with salt & lime) & the rice. Those things are always on point. Everything else is pretty much a guessing game.
Oh & try and avoid dining towards the end of the restaurant, it always smells like a sewer (not a good look for a restaurant)

Been coming here for year, service is always 5 stars. The food is always fresh, agua chiles are my favorite. Waitress know you by your name and remember your favorite dish. I drive over an hour to eat here.

Gotta fess up here: I’ve only come here twice and got the same thing to go both times. But DAMNNNNN!!! That Chile Relleno Burrito rocks the house!!! And for $ 7!!! WHAAA? Sorry I don’t live closer

This has been my 10 time at this restaurantand the food has been fenomenal!!! The assistant manger was so nice! She recomended a dish which had meat, and sea food! The rice was delicious! Service overall was excellent. I have recomended this place for my friends and colleagues to bring their entire family!

I’ve only eaten here once but it was a pleasant surprise. The wife and I wanted to have some mariscos (Agua Chile Verde) but did not want to fight the large crowds of Port’s o’ Call, so we stopped in. It was delicious and staff very attentive, we will definitely come back and try other items on the menu.

Just moved to Wilmington so I wanted a good Mexican restaurant to eat with the hubby. After Unilocaling Mexican food this 4 star restaurant came up, saw some pictures and said I’ll try it. Let me tell you about the likes and dislikes

Their carne asada tacos are pretty good & their Fish ceviche (Hmmm I think it’s tuna but it’s still amazing lol)

I went to Agua Verde for lunch for the very first time and I was very satisfied with the food, first and foremost. I ordered Huachinango Sarandeado (Whole Red Snapper) which they serve butterflied on a nice platter with fried beans and rice in a separate plate. They cook the fish on the hot plate and it looked amazing. It’s very easy to overcook fish but this one was cooked perfectly. Rice and beans very fresh as well.
Love this place and will be back as soon as I can.

This place is really good. I’ve been here 3 times now and tryed different things on the menu. The turf n sea is delicious, you get shrimps, asada (meat), rice, beans, salad, tortillas and more. I’ve also had their campechana, and this is a mixture of octopus, shrimp, avocado, tomatoes and onion… again…delicious. The place is clean and with a relaxing atmosphere, the service is attentive and friendly. Definitely will continue coming since there’s more in the menu that I want to try, the prices are reasonable considering that most of the menu is sea food, and did I mention is delicious??? Great place overall. give it a try!

Arrived here for a family dinner visted before «No Problem» ordered many diffrent items food is good. The fish tacos are kind of plain wouldn’t order them again. My problem was the customer service our waiteress Maria seemed like she was bothered with any questions or requests to the point were you almost felt bad asking her for things. But she sure wasn’t bothered including the tip to the bill. Customer Service goes a long way and honestly had she been friendlier I might of added more on the tip. Also refills are not free on the aguas which she should of mentioned since she brought the kids refills. I probably would think twice before returning or request a different waiteress because I have been there before and had better a experience.

This is one of the best Marisco’s places i’ve been to in LA. The food here is great. My favorite thing to get is the fried Mojara plate. The plate comes with fried rice, beans and your choice of corn or flour tortillas. This plate is cooked to perfection, not to deep fried or over seasoned, the fish itself is just right, crisp from the outside. The plate is very filling and the portions are just right. Well worth giving a shot at.
Among my other favorite plates here are the ceviche tostadas. The portions on these things are huge, and all the mariscos are very fresh. Adding some extra lime and these ceviche tostas are perfect. Just beware some of those pieces of chile can be really hot, my wife had some and she bit a piece that left her tongue aching for about a half hour :(
Some other things to mention about Agua Verde: the place is really clean, no long lines or big crowds, service is great. However prices are not the cheapest, but well worth the money. Check this place out ⁵⁄₅ stars.

This place is horrible. Here’s a few reasons why:
1. Bad service: All the waitresses seemed very distracted especially the one we had because she did not make eye contact at all when she took our orders as well as when she put our food on our table.
2. Smell: We sat by the register and I think I smelled the restroom.
3. Food: mediocre mexican food.
Never coming back here again!

I have a boat in the LA Harbor and my wife and I have been going here for over 20 years. We have become family with the waitresses and always feel like home when we arrive here.
We love the hard shell beef (machaca) tacos and the chili relleno combo. I believe these are the best in So Cal. I’ve ordered them elsewhere but those places always come up short. The beans here are the best anywhere and I know they are a more expensive bean than pinto beans and they taste so much better. The rice is always cooked to perfection as well.
The salsa is good in my opinion, not the best, but the chips are and they always serve them hot. I also like the chipotle pork dinner plate but be hungry for that one. It’s big and very tasty.
