I was pleasantly surprised to see a store like this in Wilmington. You could hear a pin drop as I walked in, because I was the only customer, but it was nice! I immediately smelled Indian spices and was therefore immediately hungry.
The woman who works there (and I suppose owns the store as well) gave me advice on which cookies to buy and which lentils/​spices to buy, as I have never cooked Indian food before, but I have always wanted to try it. She recited a whole recipe to me and made it more basic so that I could buy only a few ingredients to start with. She even said that ‘next time’ she would go over a different recipe with me. It was really nice of her to take the time to do that!
Also, they have homemade goodies up front. I forgot the name of what I bought, but it had potatoes and peas inside of an absolutely delicious dough. My only issue was that there were whole spices inside that I needed to take out because they were a bit too perfume-​y, but I could seriously eat that dough by itself all day. It was authentic and exactly what I needed after a stressful week.
I will absolutely be going back here, and spreading the word to others so they can try it as well!

Very conveniently located, fully stocked Indian grocery store in Wilmington. Just wish they carried a few more more veggies and home made rotis. No more driving all the way to Newark for Indian groceries!
