Heav’nly Donuts

The only reason I gave this 2 stars is because I have had some great coffee drinks and service in the past. But today was a different story. I ordered a Hot Spiced apple Chai with a shot of espresso because I was exhausted. I pulled up to the window where the staff was holding my drink in her hand but decided to pick up her cell phone and had me wait for my drink. I then asked if the shot of espresso was in it. She assured me that it was. I didn’t open my cup until I was home because usually my drink is extremely hot. To my surprise all that was in my cup was hot water with a slight spiced apple scent to it. Normally their chai’s are creamy and Have a lot of flavor. I don’t normally do Unilocal reviews but I am extremely disappointed.

place is great! their vanilla lattes are the best ive ever had and the manager that works mornings and all of her staff are super friendly and on point. thanks guys! oh and their chocolate cream filled donuts are outta this world

ok here’s the deal
the staff is so awesome at the take out speaker
the donuts are great
the regular coffee is MUCH better than DD
the breakfast sandwiches on croissants are SO GOOD
i love these guys

What a disaster.
I have gone to this location once or twice a week for two years. At any point during this time, my review would have been four or five stars — great coffee, donuts, and a friendly and efficient staff. Occasionally there would be a wait due to volume. (I try not to automatically hold this against a business. Here, it appeared to be more of a sign of success than understaffing.)
A few months ago, it appears the ownership and/​or management changed, as did the entire staff.
The last time I went, I was so unimpressed and offended by the new management — I’ll spare you the details — I walked out without even ordering.
I will not be back.

I’ve been here a few times and I love their coffee and strudels. I normally wouldn’t review a place but this, but I had an experience here that just disturbed me. I was waiting in line for my morning coffee when all of a sudden the older demon lady employee (I think her name was Angela) started SCREAMING at one of the younger kids working. I don’t know what it was about, but it sure as hell woke me right up. It’s not necessary to speak to employees that way, let alone anyone especially in front of customers. I felt bad for the kid, and was literally afraid of her. It was THAT bad. They clearly need to train their employees properly rather than by screaming, and maybe I would come back.

For years I have been going to the Wilmington location at least 5 days a week for breakfast. Working very close by it is very convenient for me to stop in before work. The coffee is awesome!!! For the last month and a half to two months the service has been terrible. Too many new faces and it looks like they are running fire drills behind the counter. I totally understand that everyone needs a learning curve but it seems like they are not getting any guidance or support/​training. Most of the time you’re waiting in line for minutes before anyone even acknowledges you. I really hope that things change soon, our employees/​customers send a lot of business to them. I miss the old Heav’nly the use to be SIX STARS!!! Please come back!!!

Worst croissant ever. It was fake. Coffee and donut shop folks. My fault for straying from what they are known for however can only rate based on my specific experience.

BY FAR THE BEST COFFEE PLACE WITHIN A 10 MILE RADIUS. The drive thru staff is always on point, fast and accurate (which I can find that other places near can mess up my coffee. Large iced coffee with milk & sugar I guess can get complicated???) They are super friendly and make my breakfast sandwiches (egg & cheese on an English) fast and exactly what I order. I drive the extra few miles just to come to this place. Silly I know BUT they are just that good! I pass roughly 10 – 15 other coffee places but this one by far knocks it out of the park. Thanks drive-​thru staff for being amaze-​ballz!

Still 4 stars, even though I 5 star love this place. There is almost ALWAYS egg bagels now, I LOVE LOVE LOVE the morning staff, and the coffee is 1 million times better than Dunks. Minus one star for the afternoon/​evening teenage staff who clearly just looks at this as a «job» — the morning ladies are AMAZING.
We are actually moving away next week, and have heard there is a Heavnly opening just down the street from our new place. Fingers crossed this is true, or I will be taking the long way to work for my daily fix!

Buy one get one free donught after 3pm! Can’t beat it. Breakfast sandwiches are a lot better than what you’d get at Dunkins but they’re also more wxpensive and they don’t offer hash browns for a side with your sandwiches which is a bummer and that’s why the 4 stars. Other than that they’re always friendly and it’s a nice place for a quick stop. I recommend

Honestly, I wasn’t impressed. The way this placed is hyped around town, I figured it would be better. Donut was fine, edible but certainly nothing overly fresh. It was probably made at least 12 hours before serving and was lacking in texture. Coffee? Just normal New England Coffee, I can get that in any convince store in the area. Service, would rather restock then step away and help me. Better than Dunks? Not a chance.

this place is a full 5 star action packed coffee place. The iced coffee is by far the best around and the donuts are great. In full disclosure, the donuts aren’t as a good as Kane’s but they are 100 times better than dunks.

I like that place I just start working in Wilmington and this place very clean very cheap prices for a very good service and quality .I worked in a restaurant business before and I can tell this people doing a good job

I found little joy in these donuts. Much like Dunkin Donuts, but fewer varieties and worse coffee. The different flavors taste the same, like fluffy sugar. Very forgettable. (I’d also rate DD a 2.)

Heavenly is miles above Dunkins but I don’t think that it is really anything spectacular. I had a coconut iced coffee which was excellent but the bacon egg and cheese was just okay. I also ordered a glazed donut which was good although extremely small. So in conclusion I will be coming here for coffee in the morning but the food didn’t really win me over.

Delicious food and decent cheap coffee. You can get waaaay better donuts and sandwiches here for cheaper than Dunkin’ Donuts. I haven’t tried many of the coffees, but I haven’t been disappointed yet.

Seriously heaven. I drive to Wilmington from Winchester all the time just for their amazing mocha frap and chocolate butternut donut. Its like nothing you’ve ever experienced before. To die for. Amazing.

Milky Way Coffee that actually tastes like a Milky Way?
In comparison to Mary Lou’s (yuck!!!), you have my ultimate vote in perfecting a coffee that tastes like what it is meant to taste like.
Have not tried anything else, YET.

This place is awesome! Great coffee and great service! I’m there almost everyday on my way to work in the morning so for all these people to be on top of their game so early in the morning gets my day going right. My first job when I was a 16 was a Dunkin Donuts so I feel for all of them working so early and being forced to wear a silly hat. There’s this one young man who says «Have a Heav“nly Day!» and it makes me laugh every time! Keep up the good work guys!

We stopped in on our way to Tewksbury for a doctor’s appt right before the Nemo blizzard of 2013. This isn’t a rip on them not being prepared for the blizzard, who knew people went on donut runs prior to being stuck inside for a few days? However, they were REALLY low on donuts, like they literally had no more than a dozen left overall, so there wasn’t much to pick from. But that isn’t the reason for the three-​star review at all… I was simply unimpressed with what we received in lieu of the donuts.
The cream of the crop was the LAST blueberry cruller I picked up. I thought there could possibly be something wrong with it but nope, we just got lucky on the timing. Real blueberries throughout and a scrumptious sweetness and snap to every bite, I’d drive back up that way just to pick up a half dozen of these suckers.
The hot chocolate was meh, nothing special to write home about. The girls behind the counter were super nice to load it up with whipped cream again as we were walking out but this was certainly not the star of the show. I believe I overheard they were low on coffee also so I didn’t even ask if they were brewing, next time I’ll give that a try.
The breakfast sandwich was mediocre as well. The everything bagel has a slight staleness to it and wasn’t as soft as I would have liked it to be. I have no idea if it was because we were there 5 – 6 hrs after they opened or if they are consistently that way. The meat and egg at least looked more real than your typical D&D sandwich but I wish I was offered an option of some salt and/​or pepper since it needed more flavoring.
Finally, the strawberry croissant was devoid of any FILLING! There was a small amount of one end after it was bit into but ¾ of it had no berry-​yum-​yums. Again, this was one of only a handful left on the shelves at the time, hopefully they aren’t always like this.
