As a long time Heart & Home customer, I want to express extreme dissatisfaction with the return policy. I was given an item purchased from Vera Bradley clearance. I cannot use the item. I phoned the Pike Creek store requesting store credit. At first I was told all sales are final with clearance items. I protested and was then told I could exchange it for a clearance item. I know what is on clearance in my local store and there is absolutely nothing I can use let alone want. I protested some more because I am very confident this item can be re-​stocked and re-​sold rather quickly. It’s a deep navy pattern-​Marrakesh Motifs. I was not allowed store credit for the value of the clearance price. I understand local merchants have to «protect» themselves, but local merchants also must rely on a strong customer base and word of mouth. Perhaps «bending» the policy would be an advantageous practice to keep existing customers happy so they could spread the word in the hopes to obtain new customers. As things stand at this moment, Heart & Home lost me as a customer, my mother-​who buys Brighton & spends a lot of money in there on other products, and a good friend of my mother’s who also spends a lot of money in there. I intend to keep spreading the word.

Heart and Home sales associates have always been helpful during my visits to the store. What I like is that they don’t hover around me while I am browsing. Then when I do need help, they are helpful. This is my go-​to store for gifts and when I am in the mood for a new Pandora charm or Vera Bradley bag.

Unpleasant experience here today. Visited store for Vera Bradley bag; walked to the back of the store to the final sale area. My mom was looking through the full price items. I looked at bags for over 10 minutes; no one offered any help or checked to see how things were going. I picked a bag off the clearance section brought it to the cashier, where there were 3 associates hanging around talking, and was promptly told «oh that bag isn’t half off». The other ones are but that’s not. I said that’s not what the sign says and they didn’t care. Said even though it was back there, had been back there the whole time I was there and then who knows how long before I got there, the sign is wrong. We won’t honor that price
So buyer beware. Heart and Home doesn’t follow the law about posted prices nor does it follow the prices posted in their own store
Won’t be back.
