Figure 8 Barn

I went to a wedding at the Figure 8 Barn on Saturday. I wasn’t sure what to expect, since I had only seen the few pictures online.
First of all, I’m not sure if it’s just the lighting, but the inside looks nicer in person than in the photos. I feel like there are a ton of scuff marks and paint streaks in the photos, but the barn looks perfectly fine in person. It’s a BIG space, so be prepared to fill it. I loved how the dance floor was raised, with the wooden railing around it.
The upper part of the barn was great for the ceremony (it was about to rain, so things got moved inside) and cocktail hour. You will probably want to provide additional restrooms (I believe the rental includes a port-​a-​potty, so the hosts rented bathroom trailers), and there is no A/​C in the barn. It was pretty hot when we first got there, but since it did rain, things cooled off a bit. Also, seating consists of picnic tables, which looked country chic with pretty tablecloths and cloth napkins, but you might want to consider renting some additional tables/​chairs if you have anyone with mobility impairments, as the benches do not move, and it might be hard for some people to climb over. Also, test out your sound system ahead of time, because the space is so big, and the acoustics might not be what you’d expect. There was no problem with the music, but it was actually kind of hard to hear the speeches, as the sound dissipated into the vast space. I’m not sure what could’ve been done about that, if anything, but expect to try it out and see what gives you the best sound.
If you want to throw a party with a rustic, fun vibe, I’d recommend checking this place out. The indoor and outdoor spaces lend themselves to a lot of creativity in terms of décor and activities (think lawn games!), and there is a lot of room to set up buffet and bar areas.
