Centreville Veterinary Hospital

I have boarded my dogs at Centreville a number of times before; however, I have been particularly disappointed by the service recently.
When I last picked my dogs up after a short stay at Centreville, I found my bill to be much more expensive than it should have been ($ 40 extra/​dog). The breakdown of the fees explained this to be a fecal testing. My two dogs were coming due for a vaccination, and they were scheduled to receive it from their vet later on in the week. Centreville simply went ahead and charged me for it without informing me of their intentions beforehand. Furthermore, when I did take my dogs to their vet, the vet told me that they had not received the paperwork from Centreville stating that my dogs had received the vaccine while boarding with them.
I decided to give Centreville another chance when I had to leave town for the weekend. As I was dropping my dogs off, the woman checking us in asked it if it would be OK that our dogs be kept in crates (as opposed to the runs that they usually stay in together). I asked to see the crates and found them much too small for my Standard Poodle and Airedale Mix to be kept in. I had made the reservation for my dogs a week in advance (I asked for a run, not two crates) and was highly disappointed to be met with such ill planning. I was even further disappointed by the fact that they expected me to pay the same price for the crates as I would for the runs. I decided to take my dogs home and contacted a petsitter that I know. From now on, I will stick to the petsitting service.

I just got adopted a dog and made an appointment with Centerville because of their location & the cost (for an exam it was in line with everywhere else I checked). I’ll be continuing to use them as our vet because they were very kind & professional. There’s a nice family feel to the practice that you don’t get a lot of places.
