Love this place. I have been coming here for years and hadn’t been back in a while. Very pleased to see that it was still opened and I understand with a new owner, who has done a very good job and kept it true to its original form.

Went here for lunch for the first time based on reviews. From the looks of it, this place went through major changes in the past year. Just compare a recent picture I posted of the space to an older pic. I tried their salad special which was a mixed berry for about $ 10. I added on a scoop of their shrimp salad for $ 2.50. The salad was ok, it was pretty basic lettuce, fresh berries, almonds, and feta. The feta was super fresh, everything else was average. The shrimp salad was incredibly bland and did not taste or look gourmet. I got slice of the crème brûlée, now that was delicious!!! Most all of their desserts looked great, so if I ever come back I’ll skip the food and go for the sweets.

Really nice café and sandwich shop. Very good deserts. The bread is very fresh. I’d like to know if they bake it onsite — will have to ask the next time I go. I’ll definitely be going back and will update my survey at that point.

Went today for the 1st time since it changed owernship and I can say I liked what I saw. Loved that they added fresh brewed ice tea and a drink station. Had the spinach pie and it was very good. Loved the updated décor. This place is a true gem in North Wilmington.

Not as good as when Lisette owned it. My Mom and I enjoyed the seafood salad on french baguette since she first opened. Had them today and it was just not the same, too much mayo and the bread tasted strange. Sadly we will not be back. Two sandwiches, a cookie, drink and cupcake thing cost $ 35.00!!!

Food was alright but a bit overpriced. Staff was friendly, but they took awhile with our orders even though there were plenty of staff to accommodate the number of customers.

Limited hours make it hard to try this place out, but if you get a chance it’s one of the better sandwich/salad/soup places in the area. Oh! And desserts are another specialty. They have mousse, crème brûlée, choc ganache cake, etc.

Went for the first time yesterday, and it was fabulous! I had the baked brie and a side chicken waldorf salad — let’s just say I will definitely be back for those 2 dishes soon. It was a really cool little café place where they actually trust you to pay after you eat.(You order, take your ticket # to whatever table that you want, and pay at the counter afterwards.) Really interesting little menu and a very friendly staff. Also, it’s basically a little gourmet shop which is great for browsing. Interesting types of mustards and cookies and baskets. ONLY cons: Kind of limiting hours — I think they’re completely closed on Sundays — and I didn’t see any restrooms in any obvious place. I’m sure they’re there, but I would have felt like I was inconveniencing them. Will be back, though!

Perfect lunch spot. Quick and easy, high-quality gourmet, un-fast-food. The atmosphere is something between a bistro, a bakery, and a cute little cheese shoppe. Everyone who works here could easily fill the role of a favorite relative, like the awesome grandmother of your childhood best friend you always wished was your grandmother. Homemade goodness in sandwich, salad, soup or quiche with European flair. Best thing going on Concord Pike.

Amazing hole in the wall! Staff is friendly. Helpful. Ate here on business twice in One week! They take credit cards now. Make fresh bread to take home, jams, cookies, all kinds of desserts for sale. Cream brûlée is the best!!! Came back the next day and bought half a cake of it and brought it back home to Md for Mother’s Day! Sooo good! Also have had the strawberry shortcake and choc layer cake. Too good, and so pretty. Daughter had egg salad sandwich and I had #2 Italian. Then the next day I got the ham and rosemary special although I was iffy on if id like it, the staff said it was great. One of the best sandwiches ever!!! Get it! Lots of older ladies going in for their soup and taking half a sandwich home for dinner. Very popular place, very busy, clean and tasty! So glad I found it!

Fabulous, absolutely fabulous. Haven’t been here in years, and it hasn’t changed a bit. My favorite sandwich is the goat cheese and sun dried tomatoes with greens on that wonderful baguette. Absolutely superb.

I love this place. As a Francophile, I enjoy the simple, fresh ingredients in French food. The sandwiches and baguettes are awesome. I love the prosciutto, pesto, and fresh mozzarella sandwich the best. Please go and support this great local business.

A local foodie recommended ham and cheese sandwiches from here, so that’s what I ordered and let the staff there decided what kind of ham and cheese to select for me. I ended up with ham and brie(cold) with honey mustand and lettuce on the french baguette, it is just what I needed, good food from a low-key sort of a place. Another exciting finding, they also bake fresh bread for you to take home while you lunch there… Fresh bread? Can’t get any better! Lots of selections on the menu, from salad to sandwiches. Also a beautiful, tasty display of a variety of pastries. The store has some stock of gourmet items from cookies, jam, salad dressing, pancake mix to specialty pasta. This place has been here for 25 years, if nothing else, this is more than enough indication that this place is worth every visit! They DONOT accept debit or credit card, so bring your cash, you won’t regret spending there!

I really need to stop eating out at all these five-star-worthy establishments. You’ll start to question my veracity and my palette! So, it seems I eat out a lot. Probably too much. But I give myself plenty of time in the gym to even out such indulgences. I found myself today at this quaint café tucked among the sea of chain restaurants on Concord Pike. This place has been here for decades, but it keeps a pretty low profile. Most everything within is homemade, but it’s the bread — my GOD the bread — that keeps me coming back. I’ll keep it simple. I ordered the«Best of Italy #3.» It’s a basic — but oh so UNbasic — play on the classic Caprese-style sandwich. Tomatoes, pesto, FRESH mozzarella, and some roasted red peppers. Included also is some damn-fine, thin-sliced prosciutto di Parma. The baguette is the star of this sandwich. Wickedly crunchy on the outside giving way to a tender, slightly chewy interior. I had to restrain myself from bringing home a loaf, knowing full well that no amount of time on the treadmill would delete those calories all that quickly. Service takes a little time — especially during the lunch rush. But once you are waiting on at the counter, you’re treated to some real hospitality. The owner is a French transplant and the accent just melts me. As one who took eight years of French in high school and college, I try to impress her, but it doesn’t seem to work all that well. Desserts also look great, but I was a bad-enough boy; I knew to stay away from them — for now!

I discovered this gem after I returned from Paris in 2008. The owner and main cook is from the South of France. She is extremely friendly and sweet. The food is wonderful: try the pork special. The desserts are delightful and tasty. How can this gem only be reviewed two times? Come on Delaware… lets get it together.

great food. had the Wild mushroom barley soup & broccoli quiche, & a cup of coffee $ 9.25. Atmosphere is nice, clean, bright, service was very good. The food was absolutely delicious. Only complaint is they don’t take credit or debit cards, which is stupid, everyone knows customers spend more with credit cards. They probably don’t want to pay the fees, but it makes things inconvenient for customers.
