History

Established in 2013.

Nine Wilmette families banded together to bring a lively, warm and inviting gastropub to Wilmette. Nick’s is a place for our community to gather to enjoy good food and drink in a lovely environment.

I am very excited to be the Executive Chef of Nick’s in downtown Wilmette.

Since the beginning of my culinary carrer, I have worked as a line cook at Reza’s Restaurant, lead culinary supervisor at Wrigley Field, opened Zed 451 in River North, worked for catering companies Levy Restaurants and Cooking Fools in Chicago, and most recently and locally at Wilmette’s Fuel Restaurant for the past two years.

My approach to food is quite simple: approachable and straight forward food using fresh seasonal ingredients and letting them shine through. I love pushing the creative envelope as does any chef, however, the ingredients that go into your food to me are what is most important.

I also don’t like to limit myself to a specific cuisine, as I am influenced by and well-​versed in different global cuisines. No matter the cuisine the constant in determining food flavors is the quality of your ingredients. There will be plenty of great times waiting for you at Nicks! I look forward to seeing you.
