Holiday Inn Express & Suites Willows

Stopped by after getting tired from driving. It was late but they had rooms. The rooms were clean and well supplied. The staff was very friendly. They have free breakfast in the morning. It was pretty yummy as in most Holiday Inns. I would come back if in the area again.

This place is super CLEAN! Everything appears new if not new.
This Holiday Inn is down towards at the end of the street. It’s very well situated with ample parking.
There’s a beautiful waiting room as you walk up to the counter. The young lady working the counter was very polite and professional.
We took the elevator up to our room which was very CLEAN and equipped with new furniture and fresh beddings.
I slept comfortably all night. It was a good bed and best of all, there were no outside noise.
You won be disappointed if you stay here.

Nice hotel, great staff and a great breakfast bar. Located in the small hamlet of Willows this a fairly new property, at least it looks like it, was a great find. Rooms are comfortable LCD TV and a Wi-​Fi that actually works. All areas of the hotel are clean and well maintained. Only issue was that the Spa was not operating because if a bad pump. Not sure this has been inop.
Thought about giving them 3 stats, but, can’t fault them on 1 minor issue. Would stay here again during future travels.

Going through them directly it said they were booked so I went through Expedia and got a room. It was roomy, clean and comfortable and felt like a fairly new hotel.
They were super friendly and right off the freeway

Great HIE location in Willows, CA. It’s right off the I-​5, close to Starbucks and Subway, Chevron and Black Bear Diner. The hotel seems very new and clean from the lobby to every detail in the room. My room had two tvs which seemed like overkill but more is better, right?
The gal at the front desk was very professional and courteous and was more than helpful in answering questions on dining options and how to get to Walmart for some supplies (i.e. wine).
This is a great hotel to stop if you’re traveling between the bay area and Redding, or between WA or OR and SoCal.

While on a road trip we were forced to pull over and find somewhere to stay because of horrible weather. This was my first visit to a Holiday Inn express and I was very happy with our stay.
The woman at the front desk was very pleasant and accommodating. The room was very clean and spacious and the bed was beyond comfortable. Seriously. One of the best nights sleep I’ve had. I am righting this review while lying awake in a semi comfortable bed at a la Quinta with paper thin walls… Will keep my eyes open for a Holiday Inn express to stay at for the rest of our trip :/​
They are pet friendly and there is a big grass field next to the hotel that is perfect for taking your dog out to stretch his legs. I was also pretty impressed with the breakfast. Everything I sampled was warm and fresh and tasted great.

Came into out room around 8:15pm for dinner and we’re getting our stuff ready for hunting in the morning. The phone rings it’s the front desk. Your being to loud. Mind u its 8:18pm and we’re grown men. Sorry you put us right under the front desk. I went down to talk to the young kid and asked him what the real issue was. Looked like i just woke him up. With an attitude he’s tells me were to loud. Told him call me at 10pm when we’re loud. He said it’s a warning next time calling the cops. I Laughed at him and walked away. I’m a grown respectful man and the kid was out of line. Great way to treat a Gold club member. After, I went outside and count 6 total cars in hole parking lot.

The front desk manager is a B***tch! I guess I «somehow» made a reservation, didn’t show up (because I wasn’t aware of it), my credit card was charged, and she will not refund my money! I asked if there is anything she could do, she flat told me, without even trying to understand my side and put herself in my shoes, NO! Why do you have to be so rude to your customers, how do you expect to get returning customers and satisfy them with service and attitude like that! I will never go to this place. So unprofessional and rude!!!

Got a room for 6 of us and a dog for $ 160. 2 queens and a pull out bed. Clean room, nice tv, plenty of outlets, really nice continental breakfast. No complaints here.

Always have stayed here when going to Oregon & have paid about $ 95 a night that is high for willows but it’s so nice & clean. But today the price is $ 139 … I think a new girl was @ the front desk but she even looked up my name & would not give me the price I always have paid … FYI nothing going on this weekend & the parking lot was not very full @ 8pm … Oh well I’m staying @ the motel 6 for $ 64 & it’s very clean !

I’ve been visiting Willows for a number of years to go to Thunderhill Raceway. The hotel choices were meager at best. This hotel is clean, modern and well appointed. It’s a bit spendy at $ 130/​night but considering the alternatives it’s great. The breakfast is decent. Scrambled eggs, bacon, fruit, baked goods etc. I do have to say the automatic pancake maker was pretty cool.
I’ve stayed here a couple of times and the quality has remained consistent. There is parking for trailers way in the back. One thing that would be great is if they could have a CCTV camera pointed to that spot for security.
Definitely the only place in Willows I stay in the future.

I’ve always been a fan of the consistency of Holiday Inns. Ever since their remodeling of many of their locations it’s always been a pleasure to stay. I recently came here redeeming my points for a free nights stay on my way home from a road trip. I like the location is right off the freeway, with plenty of gas stations and fast food options right down the street. And right across the parking lot was a Starbucks which is nice.
The double queen size suite is ample room to share amongst a few folks with a futon couch as well. There was two TVs which is convenient when you can’t decide with your friends what to watch. Quite location as it’s built a little down the way. And they also have a large gravel lot for oversized vehicles or trailers to park which was a big plus as we had a 16′ trailer to park.

As a frequent business traveler I appreciate the general consistency of the HIE chain of hotels. I can always count on them to be set up for the business traveler. They have better buisness centers and breakfast bars than most (although this varies from HIE to HIE, expecially in the breakfast category). Wifi was included in the pricing and reasonably fast.
This one is next door to as Starbucks if that matters to you.

There are no bed bugs here (room 213). The staff is courteous, the rooms are actually very clean and well appointed for a HIE, and I felt relatively safe. Kudos for being so close and convenient to a) drive thru Starbucks and b) Thunderhill =). Will definitely stay here for my next track day.

First off, the staff as a whole was friendly and helpful. The front desk staff at check in answered my questions and pointed out local attractions besides Disneyland. The housekeeping people were also very friendly, as were the breakfast staff.
The rooms aren’t huge, but they are well-​maintained, as is the rest of the hotel. The place isn’t dirty, it’s not falling apart, and it’s not staffed by schlemiels. Third floor near the back of the hotel with a view of the empty field. The beds were good, and the room had a decent sized bathroom. They provided free wireless internet of course, but I had plugged my computer directly into the network since they had already provided the cable.
The free breakfast was awesome! I had my fill of good coffee, OJ, scrambled eggs and bacon, glorious bacon! Throw in a bagel and cream cheese and a couple of the patented cinnamon rolls and I was stuffed. Oh they have this amazing pancake maker. Seriously, they look like a pancake printer. Just press the button, and watch it print out haah.

Not quite sure what to say about prior negative reviews, but I stayed here about a month ago, and it was quite possibly one of the cleanest hotels I have ever had the pleasure of encountering.
While there have been past mentions of bedbugs being an issue, I am happy to report that in room 302, there was no such issue whatsoever. The accommodations were spacious, nicely-​appointed, clean, and seemed to be newly-​renovated. Bedding was fresh, ample bath linens provided, and extras that were requested were provided as well.
Free wi-​fi was fast, but can’t tell if that was based on our location in the hotel. (We were centrally-​located near/​above the lobby area).
The lobby staff was friendly, helpful, and we literally checked in within minutes of arriving. A wake-​up call was offered, although not utilized, and the complimentary breakfast was explained.
Back to the cleanliness: not one single area encountered was dirty, cluttered or otherwise less than exceptionally clean. You could literally smell the clean. Carpets were vacuumed, furniture dusted, pool area spotless and well-​chlorinated. Hot tub in great working condition, too. Pool area spotless, lobby was the same.
Breakfast was not only pastries, but make-​it-​yourself pancake station, along with cereals, eggs, bacon, oatmeal, juices, coffee, tea, milk, yogurt, and assorted fruit.
Based on amenities provided, I felt the price point was accurate at $ 109/​night, and after staying in another hotel in the same town, it was literally a pleasant night and day difference.
I will absolutely not hesitate to book this hotel again for future track days at Thunderhill. Thanks for all your hard work to make those negative reviews a thing of the past, Holiday Inn Express!
