History

Established in 1965.

ESPO Corporation is the legacy of Gene Esposito Sr., a contractor who performed Mechanical Design for firms in and around the Chicago area. Realizing that he could help other technical/​engineering contractors find security, providing them with fair compensation and benefits, he decided to create a business that would do just that. In 1965, he created ESPO Engineering, working from out of a store front. In a short period the business began its rapid growth and Esposito moved the company to a converted building in Bedford Park’s clearing district. This building — which Esposito converted, himself — became the ESPO Engineering main office.
