Dentists of Hinsdale Lake

This was my first visit. They were excellent. My hygienist did a great job of cleaning my teeth.
I have gone to many dentists who are more focused on up selling services I didn’t need. There was none of that. I felt totally comfortable and experience was great.
The only surprising thing was upfront payment for my cleaning service. However, they promptly returned my money once insurance paid them.

I met with Dr. Homanski in Sept., 2013 through a referral by my periodontist. I am happy to report a very positive review. The Dentist was straight forward with his thoughts and recommendations-​nothing held back, which I greatly appreciated. Another dental office I visited was quick to recommend extractions of teeth that are problematic, while Dr. Homanski offered other options to preserve the problem teeth. Everyone on the staff I met, from the Dental Assistant to the Receptionist were friendly and kind. I have no qualms about returning for anticipated dental work, even though I hate going to the dentist!

I am thankful that I found this dentist. While it is a drive to the suburbs, it was worth it after my awful experience at Manus Dental. They quoted me at 3K of work, as opposed to coming in to see Dr. Hoffman, I only needed one filling replacement, which cost me around $ 100 after insurance. I have been a patient now for over a year and plan to continue driving here every 6 months.

I hate going to the dentist! This is a carry over from my childhood when I got my first cavity at age 4 and remember the dentist drilling away with no numbing with the promise of a pencil at the end from the «treasure chest». Can I just say– that the pencil didn’t help the overall trauma of the experience?
But fast forward many, many years and the Dentists of Hinsdale Lake have rid me of that fear. Dr. James Hoffman is a great dentist. He takes the time to explain what ever the procedure is and then does it quickly and efficiently. The dental hygienists are also competent and I love the way that my teeth look when I leave there.
I’ve been drilled, bleached, flossed, filed and polished there and have had good results with all. He even recommended my orthodontist to me and she was great as well.
Why not 5 stars? I’d prefer separate rooms for the services versus the larger common space broken up by dividers but that’s a personal preference.
While you may not get a pencil from the «treasure chest», what you will get is excellent service from a dentist who cares and a smile that others will notice.
