My family and I have been going to Bernard’s since they opened. Rita and Joe always offered great food and service. Jose added a personal touch. I had a taste for pasta last night, my wife is out of town, I ordered angel hair and marinara. It was awful, more like Ragu on spaghetti. What happened this is not the Bernard’s I remember?

I’m a picky Italian eater & this one of the best places I ‘ve been too. There are no waiters so what you would pay in tip, you get in quality. If the owners Joel & Rita are there get one of their specials they are usually game changers. one of the best Italian /American hidden gems around

I love this place. The grilled fish of the day with grilled vegetables is always awesome… a little pricey… but super good… my go to place around here for fish. And… a little outdoor patio during the summer.

We’re here at least once a week– and never get tired of it. The food is always fresh, daily specials, excellent salad bar, and yummy desserts. Oh, and alcohol! What more could you want? Fresh bread in a variety of flavors always in the oven and delivered to your table. Nice staff and clean environment. A little pricey(don’t be fooled by «deli» in the name) but worth it.

Delicious food. Complimentary bread(sometimes pizza) and self serve drinks. Wonderful variety of entrees along with comfort foods-meatloaf, chicken, Italian pastas, fresh breads, homemade salads, and divine homemade desserts. Friendly staff. Great dining room-you will feel like you are dining at a friend or relative’s home. Prices are appropriate for homemade, delicious food. Credit cards are accepted.

Stopped for coffee a few days ago when I saw Bernard’s served Illy. Stayed for lunch, the dining room and menu looked so inviting. Met the owner who told me about her homemade pasta so I brought my elderly mom a few days later and we both enjoyed a tasty supper. I had broccoli and artichoke heart lasagna. Mom had a turkey spinach panini. Both delicious. Generous portions so we brought a lot home. The Italian bread is some of the best I’ve ever tasted.

Ok. What happened? As I mentioned previoulsy prices were reasonable but last time I went there I paid $ 10.25 for a turkey burger! Yes $ 10.25! It used to be $ 8.75 and all of a sudden prices went up and they did by a lot. WOW! Since when does turkey cost as much as beef? YI am quite disappointed to be honest. I mean the food is exactly the same, it’s not like they are adding anything special or changing their ingredients yet prices are very high. Don’t get me wrong I enjoy their food but I don’t think I can afford it anymore, I can definitely find a cheaper meal.

Stopped for a quick lunch. Had never been here before. Great pizza! Crispy crust. Flavorful sauce. Delicious!!! My wife had the spinach ravioli that the girl at the order counter had recommended, and found it to be excellent. Great find! We will be back.

This is that one place that I have put off reviewing because I am afraid that this place with explode with popularity someday and I won’t be able to get a table. But, since I’ve been trying to give good reviews where they are deserved I have to. I believe in Unilocal, and what it has done for business. Let me say I LOVE, this place!!! I wish I lived closer, but am glad I get to go here from time to time. The great thing about this place is that’s it’s cafeteria style, so you don’t really have to tip… although, there is one person that if he’s there I always do, cause he really takes care of you. They have spoiled me on bruschetta. They have the best, and I rate everybody else’s on theirs. I also think they have the best Fettuccine Alfredo too, which is something I don’t order in many other places because it never satisfies me the way Bernard’s does. There daily specials are always amazing and on display when you walk in. My only negative is the last time I went here they don’t accept credit cards. So I always use either their ATM or the one in the bank next store and end up with paying the $ 3 charge for taking out money from someplace that isn’t my bank. But even with the additional $ 3, it’s still a great meal.

We ordered from here for our anniversary dinner. The food was absolutely delicious. I had the veggie lasagna with Alfredo sauce and my husband had the spaghetti and a meatball. Beyond delicious. The only reason I give it 4 stars instead of 5 is because after leaving, we drove 15 minutes to our hotel and there were no forks in the bag. GRRRRRR. We had to put our food away, put our coats on and head to a gas station to find forks. It added an adventure to our anniversary evening but could’ve done without it. Despite that inconvenience, we enjoyed the food all the same. If we are ever in this area again, we will definitely return and if we’re taking our food to go, we will be sure to double check the server that gives us our food to make sure their are forks in there.

I have been eating here for over 20 years. Some people consider comfort food as burgers, fried chicken, etc. My comfort food is Bernard’s. Nothing makes me feel better than the Capellini with half marinara and half alfredo sauces. The salad bar is amazing! My favorite is the pesto noodles with artichoke hearts and the green bean salad. The homemade everything is just delicious and hits the spot each and every time! They finally started accepting credit cards over a $ 10 purchase which is no problem since the average meal will run you about that. The staff is always friendly and makes you feel right at home. Definitely go check this place out when you’re in the area.

I had the signature sandwich(capicola w/pickled egglplant on peasant bread) for lunch over the weekend. The quality of the charcuterie was good, and the eggplant gave a nice acidity to the sandwich. The sandwich was served with some robust rippled potato chips. I don’t know if they were cooked on site, but they were certainly of a thicker cut than the mass market varieties I’ve tried. Very tasty. I was pleased with the quality of my sandwich at Bernard’s, though I believe that the sandwiches and burgers are a little overpriced(by about a buck) compared to the area competition. If you don’t mind paying a slight premium for a quality product, then Bernard’s is your place. I’m glad they are here to provide a high-quality option for lunch and a good casual spot for dinner.

Not a bad place for lunch — I used to live right around the corner from Bernard’s and would go there to grab a sandwich when I was working from home. A full range of deli sandwiches is available along with some panini selections. They also have pizza and some Italian dishes and desserts but I never got to sample those. Sandwiches came with chips and they were always great. Bernard’s doesn’t accept credit cards but there’s an ATM right inside the front door. Nice option for a quiet lunch.

Just went here with a group of coworker pals, and will certainly be back. The food here is really good and tastes really fresh. I had the turkey burger with grilled onions, and it was amazing. I didn’t feel like I was eating a light alternative to a regular hamburger. The fries are delicious and have kind of a crispy batter thing happening with them. My friends got a corned beef, reuben and turkey panini and they were all thrilled with their food. The only two small things preventing me from giving this place a full five star rating are: they don’t take credit cards(and I never have cash on me) and the music was kind of all over the place(weird old timey one minute, bad 80s the next) and loud enough to be noticeable.

My team came to Bernard’s for lunch last month and they all raved about it! I went today for lunch to see what they hype was about. I had a turkey burger with cheddar cheese and grilled onions with fries. under $ 10! The burger was delicious. nicely melted cheese and very seasoned! My coworker had the meatball and it looked very good! The food is fresh and cooked to order! My office isn’t far from here so I will defintely go back!

It almost made me angry to find out that this place was here! I am in this area quite often and I have only stopped in just recently!.The following is what I ordered on the inaugural visit! Bernard’s — Proscuitto, roasted red peppers, lettuce, cracked pepper and herb dressing, and provolone cheese on peasant bread $ 7.50. i decided to also order a bowl of chicken soup to go along with my sandwich! They hit the nail on the head this day! Everything was delicious and a GREAT value. The staff was really friendly and our food was up quickly! There is nothing more that I could have asked for here! I am going to be back on numerous occasions!
