History

Established in 2010.

We’re just a small group of friends that have spent their lives in and around the bicycle business. We’ve raced road bikes in Europe, commuted to and from work on the streets of Chicago and bombed our mountain bikes through 3 Ravines in Palos. There isn’t a type of bike we haven’t seen and there isn’t any bike that we haven’t serviced. We’ve made our way to Willow Springs and the southwest suburbs of Chicago, via the finest bike shops in the Chicago area, Turin of Evanston (North Pier, RIP) and Cycle Smithy in Lincoln Park. We’ve been schooled in the right way… and wrong way of doing things and we’re proud to share all the knowledge we’ve learned along the way. We’ve worked with the finest bicycle manufacturers in the world and sold the highest end of bike equipment available, but we’ve also serviced plenty of Huffy’s and Schwinn Cruisers. We believe that the riders of Palos and and the I&M and Centennial Trails deserve a bike shop in their backyard and we’re happy to be that shop.

Yes, Joe is friendly. Yes, he is a personable smooth talker. Yes, the shop is conveniently located next to the trails. Yes, Joe is experienced and can impress newbies with his knowledge.
However, my super rare and expensive bike was damaged during an excessively long ‘repair’ stay. No, he is not honest. No, he won’t do the right thing to you either, at least not without extensive nudging and persistence. Let him handle the cheap stuff. That way, it won’t hurt as much when stuff goes wrong and you are calling and calling and calling to get things straighten out.

Fixed my son’s 26″ rear bike flat tire in 30 min exactly the time they said it would take and the price was exactly what I expected to pay — replaced tube and all good — just did another bike ride together with him this morning. They rent bikes too for those who want to just rent there and jump on the trails.

We took our bikes in for a spring tune up. I needed new tires, they replaced my tires but apparently not the inner tubes (or did not install correctly) as the back tire will not hold air. I expected much more based on other reviews (and the cost), looks like we need to find somewhere else to take our bikes. I cannot recommend this business.

Amazing Customer Service!
I needed a tune-​up on my bike, that I hadn’t rode in 1.5 years. I looked on Unilocal and found this place, which is only 10 minutes from my house and right across the street from the I&M bike path. I was immediately greeted by Joe when I stepped inside to drop off my bike. He looked it over, took my info, and said it would be ready in a few days. So seamless and easy and friendly. I picked my bike up later in the week, and was able to go for a ride that day.
I also bought a bike helmet, which fits great and is actually comfortable. Joe did mention that they do rent bikes, which is a great option since the trails are across the street.
I highly recommend bringing your bike here. The service is excellent and the prices are great. This is a local small business that is worth supporting!

FINALLY got out to Palos only to discover my unused bike had a sliced tire. No dice. 40 minute drive home… OR go to 2 BiCi and get great customer service and some new shoes for ma ride!

Came here with my hubby hoping to get some information for purchasing two bikes today, and I walked away with tons of wisdom! Joe was awesome. He explained the different types of bikes that the shop has to offer, and then he had us try out a few. I was really impressed by their knowledge and willingness to explain the many details an amateur biker needs to know. I definitely recommend checking them out if you are new to the bike scene or a veteran.

Great shop, Joe is awesome. I especially like this place because they are Cannondale certified, in the past I had to bring my Jeckyl to other so called Cannondale shops and always had a problem. Then I found this place and have never been happier. I truely hope this place is around for a long time.

I love my bike. I love riding it, I love looking it, and I love talking about it. It’s old, it’s purple and every few years it needs tender loving care. I am delighted to report I have found the place to care for it, for like, forever.
I dropped my mean purple machine off here a week ago. I was greeted by Joe and he kindly helped me lug it out of my car. He peppered me with friendly and funny questions, made me feel wonderfully welcome. He assessed it’s needs and back I came a week later to a very reasonable repair bill. I got a new chain, new brake cables, and everything all tuned up.
A great bike shop is as important as a good therapist, honest mechanic, or great bartender. If this place served drinks and were in my PPO under mental health professionals, I’d be here several times a week. However, thanks to their competent professionalism and work well done I probably only need to visit every couple years. Bring your bike here. Buy a bike here. Or just stop in and say «hi» to Joe!

I live in Des Plaines and found 2 Bici while I was visiting the MTB trails with a friend. The minute I walked in I felt like I knew the guys for years! Joe and everyone in the shop were very friendly and down to earth. I bought my Salsa MTB from joe and he gave me an honest price and threw in some pedals too! I don’t mind the 40 min commute to 2 Bici, it’s totally worth it! I would send anyone who loves their bike to this bike shop.

While I never purchased anything from this bike shop, the friendliness of the staff is amazing. I have seen the snobbery and rudeness of some bike shop owners and this is definitely not one of those places. I was looking to buy a bike and I came in twice to test ride a couple. The staff are honest, friendly, understanding, and they don’t try to force purchases on you. They also mentioned that the would work with me on the price, particularly if I was going to purchase other things like helmet or locks. I didn’t end up buying a bike from this shop, but I would feel comfortable bringing my new bike in for repairs and tune-​ups!

Fantastic Shop! Great Prices on repairs and quick turn around. Very honest shop, never tried to sell me anything that my bike didn’t need. The other great thing is that they are very near the Palos Triangle, Centennial Trail, and the I&M trail.
Really recommend 2 Bici for all of your repairs, and they carry a great selection of new bikes.

2Bici bike shop is a breath of fresh air compared to some other bike shops/​dealers. There’s no sales pitch, no intimidation and no pressure. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable and helpful.
They work on all bikes from $ 5000 mountain & road bikes to your kids tricycle. They’re a bike shop, they fix any bike. The owner, Joe, has been in the bicycle business for a long time and is an excellent mechanic.

I visited the shop on Saturday and introduced myself to the Owner and Staff. My MTB was shifting roughly and they made her purr. I instantly felt welcome and could tell that the employees/​owner «wanted» to be there and help me. The shop was completely free of the douchyness you sometimes feel at bike shops. None of the employees were wearing tight rolled up jeans or cycling hats. The staff was knowledgeable about the products they had on site and the products they had available for order.
Willow Springs needed a bike shop and I’m thrilled that the one that showed up is what it is. I have found my new shop! If you are looking to buy, I suggest calling ahead to make sure they have what your looking for in stock. If not, they will order it. If you are looking for bike service, whether you are looking to get your $ 25 Huffy or your $ 2,500 Duel Suspension MTB serviced you will be treated the same.

Came to ride along the centennial trail when we realized the tires on our bikes were low. Went to the 7 – 11 and their machine was broken. We asked a biker if he had a pump and my boyfriend started to hand pump the tires when 2 boys sitting under a bridge came over and asked if we needed help. They told us about the bike shop across the street… we rode our bikes there and the owner let us use the air compressor to fill air in our tires. Looks like we will be bringing our business to him in the future. Very nice and knowledgeable guy.

Was out riding along the Centennial Trail when I realized that the air was low on both tires. Luckily, two kids told me about this bike shop. The owner was really friendly letting us use his air compressor and giving information about the various trails out there.
Was looking for a place to get a new mountain bike and I think I have found one!
