Wonderful percussion supply house ! Every time I have dealt with them my orders where handled and shipped very quickly and packaged well. Bought a gong from them a few years ago, and they threw in a complimentary carrying bag and gong mallet !
This week I rec’d three complete multi size head sets, clearance Pearl Reference badged heads for an amazingly low price. Nicely packaged, order on Friday and showed up at my door the next business day… Monday !

Hey Steve, I’ve known about your company for years but never had the need to order anything until earlier this week. I am very pleased with the level of service I received and wanted to make it public.
I live in California, and I placed an order for several items (Danmar mounted castanets, Abel triangle, and a few other small items) on Tuesday morning, Nov 19. Optimally, I want them for a rehearsal this coming Saturday, Nov 23, but assumed they wouldn’t arrive in time so not a huge deal. Figured I’d have them by the rehearsal the following Saturday, which was good enough. On a whim, I decided to inquire in the «notes» of my order about USPS Priority Shipping, figuring it doesn’t hurt to ask and that maybe I could get the items in time. Within a few moments of placing my order, one of your customer service reps named Earl emailed to let me know he saw my note, and was happy to ship my items USPS Priority per my request for an additional $ 6 charge to my credit card. He couldn’t guarantee it since SWM is not the USPS, but said it was highly likely I’d receive my items before Saturday. I said OK.
Long story short, my items are already out for delivery, less than 48 hours later. I will definitely have them in time for my rehearsal, which makes me super happy. More importantly, I never expected to have such personalized customer service from an online retailer, and was so pleasantly surprised by Earl’s friendly, helpful communication, I wanted you to hear about it on Unilocal.I also wrote Earl back to thank him personally.
I have ordered from another large online percussion retailer in the past, and haven’t exactly had a positive experience with them. You’ll get my business from now on. Thank you!!!

Reply to Steve W. The returned mallets looked the same as they did when we received them originally. I asked a room full of other percussionists if they looked «worn out». They all concurred that they looked new. Several commented they had trouble with your company as well, and even gave me the name of a percussion company with better customer service and a brick & mortar store in the area.

I ordered equipment from them recently. They had the items in stock, but took nearly a week to ship them. So, they were fine taking my money, but they waited days to put my stuff in the mail? Not cool.

This place is a percussionists DREAM. As I live local, I place my orders online and then pick them up at their headquarters in Willow Grove to save on shipping. I’ve heard that you can take tours of their stock room but when I’ve been there I haven’t seen much. Basically it seems to be an internet company… that rocks!

You can also order online. Need it the next day? Just tell them you’re in a rush, and they’ll rush the order out to you for very reasonable shipping costs. That’s far better than what their competition does.
