The guys at the desk need PR help. Not friendly. Service not quick, too much fooling around on the computer. They do have a $ 19 oil change though!

I went in there as a female assuming that my car needed a lot of work. The manager reviewed my concerns and said that I needed nothing. He assured me that my car was fine. Then he did not charge me because he had done no actual work on it!!! AN HONEST car repair shop!!!
My car made the trip I was planning and has remained fine since then.

I have always had good experiences with them. I get all if the work done on my car here. They take a bit long to complete work. I never feel pressured into «upsell» … I am happy with them, and I will continue to return.

First of all I have taken my car here a total of three times. The first time was fine and couldn’t be happier. The second I went in for breaks and they said my breaks were fine. Less than a week later I brought the car back because I heard the break squealers. I needed new breaks; expressed my frustration that the car was just in less than a week prior and they said the breaks were fine. I just found out, by taking my car somewhere else that they put my tires on inside out — either on purpose or negligence.
I don’t recommend taking your car to this establishment. Although they were mostly nice, they did not hit the deadlines they set for themselves and did not call to give me an update on my car when they missed that deadline.
Please consider another car maintenance facility besides this one.

Ugh where to start w/​this place?! I’ve dealt with this place off and on for over 5 yrs. Now, I’m a car girl, and I know LOTS about cars, I know what will needs to be replaced, what shouldn’t be replaced over X amount of time, etc. So some years back my usual shop monkey (at another shop) insisted a wheel hub needed replacement. I knew that was incorrect so I took it to Monro and the then manager (Brian I believe) gave me a second opinion and he confirmed I was right. I liked him and I trusted him. I still went back to my usual shop because I also liked the staff, aside from that one idiot. So fast forward. My boyfriend took his car there and it was in and out of Monro for months without the same problem being fixed. His check engine light kept coming on and they kept saying something else needed replacing. They put the car on the lift and suddenly the brake lines broke (WTF!). He paid to replace those. In the end, he paid $ 4k in under a year and still had problems. Regional management stepped in after we contacted them, only then the problem was fixed.
I took my new, yet very slightly used car in for inspection since I bought it in NJ. Seeing that it looked brand new they just slapped inspection stickers on. They never pulled the wheels (they never asked where the wheel lock keys were) and they improperly filled out the back of the sticker. There was no indication of which wheels were pulled. So basically they just took $ 80 w/​o doing anything. Also, they gave me an emissions exempt sticker when I should not have received on.
The recent management here has made this place go down the tubes. The regional manager apologized and mentioned that the then manager was fired since inspection stickers went missing. We haven’t been back since, not sure if this location has improved. We’re not willing to risk it though.

I usually only get service work done at the dealer but I called this place for tires and after speaking to Ron I decided to give them a try. I just came from this place I got new tires put on my vehicle, a state inspection, and oil change. They where more than fair with me but as a woman it helped that I knew what I was talking about and did my homework on the tires. The owner Ron priced matched my best price on the tires and took off 5% and gave me a great deal on the Road Hazzard. Great experience ! Will return

I really wish there were some other rating scale i could use. this monro isn’t «meh» OR ‘a-​ok”. they’re reasonably priced for the services they offer, they take care of my car well and they even found a tire for me in an emergency where i needed one the day before a scheduled business trip. i blew out a tire the night before and there was no way i could go 300 miles on a donut!
i think maybe there has to be an alternate universe Unilocal rating scale for customer service. i’d put the guys at this shop somewhere in the range of mildly offensive to *judge alvin ‘j.p.’ valkenheiser* in the very terrible 1991 «Nothing But Trouble.

The guy who handled my car under the old management was absolutely awesome. He was older and had a voice like he smoked cigars and drank whiskey his entire life and was a totally nice guy. The new guys are… different.
I think Dan is the manager and he has a brand of humor i’ve hardly ever encountered. he’s really sarcastic and kind of rude in a joking way, but not. he’s also got a story for everything. the last time i was there it was something about wrestling alligators and then there was something else about bears in pickup truck beds. i don’t know. he also has this kind of look about him like you’re not sure if he’s just joking around with you or if he’s serious. it might be a little difficult to deal with unless you’re comfortable around guys who think they’re funny and/​or aren’t offended easily.
then there’s this other guy who actually works on my car. i can’t remember his name, but the last time i got my oil changed he called me like three times afterwards. in a row. the first one i missed. the second one he said he lost his credit card and was hoping it was in my car. but then as i’m in the parking lot of my gym with the driver’s side door open and the back door open looking for said card he drops this beauty: «are you sure your boyfriend wasn’t driving your car and found it?» at that point i knew what the game was… and i felt like an idiot for being on the ground looking for something that clearly didn’t exist!
i give him points for trying, but it was probably the weirdest attempt at a pickup ever for me. (tops the rittenhouse guy.) i told him i was the only one driving and i hope he finds it. he called me back about 10 minutes later, which was supposedly an accident. but he kind of just kept talking… and he definitely asked me out. i had to tell him i’d see him in april or in 3000 miles, whichever came first. but now i’m stuck in limbo.
i really like taking my car here and i trust their service, but i don’t want it to be weird if i’m not interested in dating my mechanic!
note to girls who are considering this place: you’ll probably get hit on if you take your car here.
upshot: they always give me a discount without having a coupon, which HAS to be just because i’m a girl. last time they gave me the «senior» discount which was like 20% off.
