Marty Sussman Mazda

The staff are friendly, but the car service takes forever!!! I have taken my car here several times because it is close by but it is never finished in the time that is predicted.

Had a great experience in the service department. Mike was the guy at the desk who put my info in the computer. Really nice guy, spoke to me in English (not car-​speak). My car was ready in as out an hour for an oil change. My only suggestion would be to improve the waiting area– it is kind of small. Or have a shuttle to drop you off at the Willow Grove mall (it’s like a mile away, but not an easy walk) to shop while you wait.

We almost spent 30k and bought a car here. I had dealings with an internet sales person for almost 2 weeks. She (Jenn) was great, answered questions immediately and was a pleasure to deal with. We decided to go in and get our trade valued and drive the car. We met Jeff who we also liked, we then met Mike who was your classic sales guy. Our trade was a low offer, Mike informed us that they had also made a mistake with the internet price and increased the price by about 2k. Maybe older car buys expect this from a car dealer — the younger generation do not. The price obviously was not a mistake as we had been talking about a specific car and trim level for weeks. We also had another offer from a different dealer in writing for the same trim, I had given this to Jenn and Mike had said he would match it before we arrived — this gave us a bad taste straight away.
Anyway it was late so we took the numbers and said we would return in the morning to see the specific car. We went home and discussed it, we were on the fence but decided if they make the process easy, why not. We went back the following morning and the car wasn’t ready to look at. They greeted us as we entered the dealer and said they would be with us in a few minutes. 20 mins later we decided to go outside and look at the cars on the lot, a further 10 mins later — still the car wasn’t ready, nor had they talked to us again. We couldn’t believe this — we were about to give them $ 30k, it seemed like they didn’t care. If the car was ready when we walked in and they treated us with a little more service, they would have made an easy sale. Anyway we got in our car and left.
Mazda as a brand seems to be trying to market the cars at younger people — this dealership needs to get with the times. Younger people want an easy process — upfront and honest prices, no scams, and make things easy for them… we do not want to spend all weekend at a dealership.
We had financing in place online from Mazda usa, cleaned out our trade, brought all paper work and were ready to drive away in a new car — I’m still in shock that they blew the deal!

I went to Sussman Mazda on August 1, 2013 with the intention of trading my car in and obtaining a lease. After my husband spoke to a few employees during my last appointment for oil change and inspection at the service center it was suggested that leasing a car would be the most bang for my buck, and now I completely agree. I trade my cars in every couple years as I always feel more comfortable driving a new car. I drive under 12,000 miles/​year. I take excellent care of my vehicles. Leasing fit me like a glove. It was no discussion where we were going to lease my vehicle as we have had plenty of great experiences with this particular dealership and the service never ceases to amaze me. Always friendly, always trying to help in any way they can. In the last 3 years we have struck deals with Sussman Mazda 3 times (My husband traded in his first Mazda 3 for a new Mazda 3 in 2010, I traded in a Pontiac G3 in 2011 for a Mazda CX7, and now I just traded in my Mazda CX7 for a new Mazda 3). I had a list of must haves, even with color choice, and 99% of what I wanted was included in my new car. I was amazed that this was able to be done in such a short time frame.
To sum this up, if you have never been to Sussman Mazda and you are planning to purchase a Mazda, I give them my HIGHEST recommendation. Sure they match prices, which other places may do as well, but you can’t match the service you will get with Sussman. I will never consider going anywhere else after the treatment we have gotten time after time with them.

To bad its impossible to give them no stars. What a joke and sleeze bag of a dealership. We called and negotiated the price and the financing before going. Everything was worked out. We informed them that we were going to come in and pick up the car that night as we just got the insurance check for a totaled car and had to return the rental car that night. Due to our urgency to need the car they decided to use this to their advantage to hike the price up once I arrived. Being that it was 8pm at night they knew I would be cornered and would be forced to take the deal. When we refused the $ 2,000 price hike while sitting at the salesman’s desk the salesman immaturely and completely unprofessionally proceeded to rip up the paperwork like a child that we just got done filling out and proceeded to walk away from us, leaving us sitting by ourselves at his desk. What a joke of a dealership. TAKE YOUR BUSINESS ELSE WARE!!!

Let me start by saying that while I enjoy the excitement of buying a new car, I hate dealing with your typical car salesperson and the whole negotiation process. After shopping for compact sedans every day for more than a week, I came across Sussman Mazda. Cindy in sales and the sales manager Matt were genuine, helpful, and never once gave me that slippery sales vibe I had been getting again and again over the past several days from countless other dealerships (I went to a lot of places because I am VERY thorough with big purchases!). They were able to get me into a Bluetooth equipped Mazda 3 Touring that I thought (because of the other dealerships) was outside of my budget. Not only that, but when I had to bring my two young kids in while I signed paperwork, Cindy showed them such a great time that they didn’t want to leave. They were her little sales helpers… they may have even sold a car for her! Haha. (Thanks to Timmy too for staying late to entertain my kids with Disney drawings and balloons). I got the sense that everyone really liked working there, and I think that really rubs off to the customers. From beginning to end — from how my family and I were treated, to the price of the car — Sussman exceeded my greatest expectations and provided a great close to my car buying experience. You will not be disappointed if you go there.

Went to look at a car in person after researching it online. My intent was just to gather further hands on info, not make a purchase. I was greeted immediately and I told the rep, Tim, my mission for the day. He was knowlegeable, informative and enthusiastic about the brand. I ended up looking at another model while there. Tim asked me a bit about myself and my needs. And based on that he gave me pros, cons, and possible options regarding both models. I test drove both models also. I didn’t end up deciding that day, but I’ll definitely be back once I do. No pressure, just information and friendly help. Exactly what I asked for. Very different from the usual headache inducing car dealership experiences I’ve had.

Had a 9:30 AM service appointment. As I’m writing, it is 11:10. Unacceptable. I will not return.
