Specialties
Devil’s Den is one of Florida’s premier pre-historic springs. Located in Williston, Florida, this karst cavern is home to one of the most unique diving spots in the United States. With crystal clear water, year round water temperatures of 72 degrees, ancient rock formations with stalactites, fossil beds and much more you’re guaranteed to leave with an experience you’ll never forget!
Not a diver? Not a Problem… We also allow snorkeling so everyone can enjoy the unique pleasures of Devil’s Den. After a day in the water, stay with us in our vast RV park, one of 4 cabins, our remodeled double-wide trailer or gaze at the stars in our tent camping area.
History
Established in 1993.
Once belonging to a local farmer, this diamond in the rough was sought only to be a hole in the ground. Trespassers would hang ropes from the trees and jump into the waters below, unaware of the prehistoric treasure that lied beneath them.
Realizing the liability that came with owning the cavern and no means of regulating the trespassers, the farmer sold it to a German diver. She brought out its true potential as a dive site and totally reconstructed the entrance. By building a staircase and platform in the den, this transformed the cavern from a neglected historical site to a divers paradise.
A few years later a group of investors bought it from the German diver and transformed into the resort it is today. Currently under the same ownership, it now consists of tent camping, cabin and trailer lodging, snorkeling and of course world class scuba diving.
