Memories Bar and Grill

I will never be a patron of this bar and grill again. I am a big fan of karaōke and at first, Memories was an appealing place for Karaōke because it had a KJ with good equipment and a fairly spacious stage with paintings of iconic singers on the walls; As some people have mentioned it’s for an older crowd, but that’s no big deal to me since I am passionate about Karaōke and I had become a regular because I could sing a few tunes close to home and I was impressed with the quality of the microphones and Karaōke equipment.
On more than one occasion I had eaten at this place and I had brought friends and family to eat here as well. Because of medical reasons I cannot ingest alcohol but I ALWAYS made sure to buy a soft drink at the bar or my friend bought a beer while I belted my heart out (by the way, I am training to be a professional singer so the quality of my voice always impressed audience members). A couple of weeks ago, I decided to attend the weekly Thursday night Karaōke night and sang some Whitney, immediately after I finished, the KJ scoffed at me and said «You better buy a drink if you want to sing another song», I was absolutely appalled, I did not know that it was necessary to buy a drink if I wanted to sing and no one had ever told me that it was a requirement for participating in karaōke. I tried to call the manager twice because I was willing to give it another shot if someone could have explained to me why I was treated so abominably. I left two messages and once the manager evaded my call when I asked to speak to him.
I have now found another place to do live band karaōke in Bellmore, it may be more of a trek than Williston Park, but I’d rather spend my gas money to go there than to spend another penny at Memories ever again.

Older crowd for sure. I think I was the youngest in the place when we went on a Friday night. Sat at the bar for a few drinks and burgers. I had the «Elvis» which I was confused on because its served smothered in mushrooms and sauce rather than peanut butter which is the typical Elvis burger. Drinks are moderately priced and the live music is just tooooo loud. Hard to hold a conversation because its such a small place but the owner actually sat down next to us at the bar and talked it up. He asked how everything was etc. so that was pretty refreshing.

Décor is cool. Reason for 2 stars — bartender (girl) was rude as Hell. She seemed upset that I wanted a drink&that she had to end her conversation with the other girls. She was smiling walked over to us & total bitch face. Didn’t ask how you guys doing, nada. Just what can I get you &we kinda felt rushed. Got our drinks &some local drunk guy that bartender kept feeding this guy drinks wouldn’t stop harassing my date to dance with him. Finished our drinks, waited about 20 minutes &gave up &walked out. Seems this place only caters to the local drunks. Bartenders don’t want to have the conversations or phone texting time interpreted. Not a friendly place unless your a local.

It’s a place unfortunately that’s not as busy as it should be! The shrimp appetizer is awesome and the place has the best marinated whole chicken! Plus you get a small salad with it and rice and beans. A great place to bring the kids as well! Give this place a shot!

So I go into what looks like a cute place for a cocktail. Well I must say don’t judge a book by its cover. The bartender by the name of Maggie takes my order for bar drink and chicken wings. I specifically told her I want crispy juicy wings and make sure they are hot off the fryer in temperture. What I got was cold, soggy & greasy wings after waiting more than 30 minutes. It’s no wonder they were empty. Honestly, if you can’t make wings right then you might as well close your doors. I told the bartender that they taste like they are bought at 7 – 11 and she just nodded her head and walked away. Seriously!!! Customer service goes a long way! Just because the cook messes up at least the server can make it right. In this case I will never be going back to this place nor will I reccomended anyone else too. Btw I believe the owner overheard what was going on but didn’t seem too concerned. I left extremely unhappy! The only reason it got two stars was for the décor. Everything else was a fail!
Btw If you are going to offer «Happy Hour» make it worth our while not just $ 1 off! Thats not making anyone happy!

Bar service was very good. Met some friends and sat for dinner. The «Johnny Cash» burger was outstanding! My wife had the Avacado salad. Huge chunks of fresh Avacado. Happened to be karaōke night. Food very good. Singing not so good.

What a find this place is! Drove past 100 times to and from clients office a few towns over. I would definitely go out of the way to come back again.
Great lay out of interior, staff and service was excellent, clean and comfortable atmosphere with a good bev offering, full bar.
The house salad was huge and fresh, the Chicken Marsala was divine. They actually use REAL potatoes.

What a great place! Was there last night, the food was great! Atmosphere a big plus. The band was fantastic. I don’t know when I’ve had so much fun dancing, singing, and just enjoying the Saturday night music! Definitely a place worth five stars!

Too bad the owner thinks he knows sound — listening to a terrific Springsteen cover band (Thunder Road) but the sound system has been turned down so you can’t hear the lead singer or the sax player — such a shame!

Did not have the best experience. Waited over 40 minutes for our food due to a birthday party and the kitchen being behind. Waitress only checked on us once. On top of that we were asked to move to a different table after 40 minutes due to a prior reservation. Never got a chance to eat. Crappy service

Great Bar /​Restaurant combo. Al the owner greeted us at our table and was a fun guy.
We had burgers, The «King» Elvis Burger and the My Way «SInatra» Burger where you pick 4 items to top your burger. They were great. Bar drinks were made damn good! The menu had great items not typical of a bar, but we came for burgers. Happy hour is Mon. — Fri. 4pm — 7pm. The wait staff were great and we ended with a delicious Bailey’s Irish Cream cheese cake, very light and not too heavy.
They have live bands Tuesday, Friday, and Saturday nights. Weds night they have a pyschic readings dinner. Will be going back soon. Fun time.

Had the best chicken pot pie I have every had in my life… The service was outstanding… we had to ask for nothing!

We decided to go to dinner with another couple late this evening and suggested Memories. It was a good choice!
We got there at 7:45 and they had two table open. The host told us that they had 8:30 reservations, but if we wanted to be rushed, they would seat us. We thanked him and told him we’d prefer to wait. He was very nice and not 5 minutes later was back and said they had a free table. Just shows, it pays to be nice to the host and we appreciated his honesty about the tables available.
Either the chef or the owner must be Portuguese because in addition to the regular pub fare they had several Portuguese menu items and specials. I decided to start with a chorizo and clams appetizer. While the sauce was not a true Spanish or Portuguese sauce, it was very good. The clams were also cooked excellently and the linguica in the dish was terrific!
For entrees my wife just had the potato skins appetizer and and the other woman at our table had the pulled pork quesadilla. Both were very good and reminded us why their regular bar fare is strong. The other guy and I both had the paella special. Keeping in mind that this is a local pub and not a Spanish or Portuguese restaurant, it was very good. Once again the linguica was pleasantly included along with a good mix of fresh mussels and clams. There was some squid included and a few chunks of white meat chicken. The rice was not the normal paella rice, but was good. Again, considering this is a local pub the paella was very good and very tasty. It was also A LOT of food (we each ordered a full paella and when the first one came we asked them to just split the other one in the kitchen to take home and shared the one at the table and it was pleanty. Also, as a $ 20 special it was very well priced).
We left on the early side and a band was setting up for live music.
This is a terrific place to go for a local burger or a pub atmosphere that offers a little more. Add in a welcoming staff and a waitress that couldn’t have been more friendly and Memories continues to be a winner!

Great neighborhood bar! Don’t plan on getting blown away by each thing on the menu but the tosta mista is a can’t miss! The pours are right on!
Solid live music and fun neighborhod crowd where the owner likely knows your name.

I was shocked, pork chop was great, steak was even better. owner stoped by twice to say hello and see how everything was. service was also very good, supprised a pud could have good food, service, and live music.

Great food, enjoyed a burger with the sweet potato fries. Awesome. The pulled pork sandwich was great too, lots of spice, liked that. I’ll be back!

I love this bar. I arranged my company’s Holiday party there. Al, the owner, was gracious enough to work with our budget and the food that was offered was very tasty and there was plenty of it. Our party was a great success and my boss and the salesmen bring clients there for lunch often. The drinks are great, the staff very friendly and the décor is perfect if you want to just hang out watching a game or do bring the family to a casual dinner.

Pub w/​music.
I’ve passed it a zillion times and it always looked kind of shabby but it went through an overhaul a couple of months ago and now at least looks enticing enough to stop in. Being that we were out anyway, we popped in for a little refreshment and had a great time.
The place is deceivingly large once you are inside– which is nice since the centerpiece of this pub is a large stage area for live music. The bartenders rock and the food is extremely good– well beyond the normal bar food offered up in many places.
Prices were decent and the atmosphere was extremely comfortable — plus clean bathrooms with a flat screen to keep you up on the game whilst you clean the pipes. Perfect.
