Whenever I want a bargain, something new, fun, quality, kooky, or designer, I go to my local SA. They are bigger and better than they were in their old location! It’s more organized, there is a public restroom available(especially helpful on Wednesdays when everything is half price and I want to forage for deals!), and the bang for your buck is incredible. I’ve walked out of there with new wardrobes for the price of a new pair of jeans! Seriously, who cares if your clothes are brand new or not? You can find great deals at this thrift store. I’ve been to TONS of them throughout the state and beyond. This one is the best on all fronts. You gotta go. Yes, to student and military discounts. Yes to receptacles where you can drop off your used stuff for tax dediuctions if you wish. Yes to being on a first name basis. Don’t you know want to go where everyone knows your name? Hm, I feel a song coming on.

This is only an average Salvation army, it’s on the small size and has mainly clothes(the S.A. in Brooklyn/Danielson is much larger). It gets fairly picked over around halloween, as it’s the closest thrift store to UConn — they do offer a student discount, which is nice. The things I buy most frequently here are old retro board games, they always seem to have lots. Like all S.A.‘s, they’re closed on Sunday.
