The Maple Terrace is located in Williamstown, Massachusetts in the Berkshire Mountains, one of the most beautiful areas of New England. Within walking distance is the famous Clark Art Institute, Williams College and many local attractions. Our reputation for country charm and warm Swedish hospitality has attracted guests from around the world, with many of them returning again and again.

History

Established in 1996.

The Maple Terrace Motel main house was built in 1792. In the 1890s, a series of cottages were built along the 3 acres of land. In 1996 it was purchased and updated by Kjell and Ann to be the beautiful motel you know today.

The Maple Terrace is operated by Kjell and Ann Truedsson, who add their worldly experience and warm Swedish hospitality to the splendor of New England.

Kjell has been in the hospitality industry for over 50 years; in a variety of roles from Directing to Managing.
