Cumberland Inn

Lovely! Clean, friendly, and spacious suites. Much nicer than the chain hotel where we stayed on our way south, and the price was lower too. The attached restaurant was a convenient spot for our soup and sandwich after our late check-​in. Our waitress was very sweet and accommodating. This was a great place to wrap up our Florida trip.

Nice rooms beautiful surroundings. Very southern classy. Staff was very friendly and breakfast buffet was well presented and offered a good variety. We ate dinner in the hotel restaurant chicken tortellini was bland. Chicken tenders were great. This is a really beautiful place fairly priced

A hidden gem along 75, Cumberland Inn is inexpensive, but runs and feels like a higher end hotel. The staff is friendly, rooms are clean and well stocked. The Lobby itself is enough to stop and see! We’ve stayed here twice in our way through KY, and have loved it each time!

Lovely inn on the campus of the University of the Cumberlands. First time to the area. The hotel is staffed by hospitable, well-​trained students. Rooms are older, but well-​kept. Strange plastic sign in bathroom about stealing linens – never seen that before in the many hotels/​motels we’ve visited. The hotel has a taxidermy museum attached – also a first for something like that! The attached Patriot Steakhouse is the only eating in the town (outside of fast food).

This is a very nice hotel. My family and I stayed overnight in the «Hatbox Suite» which has two queen beds, a pull-​out sofa bed, a kitchenette, and a fireplace. The room was very spacious and clean. The beds including the pull-​out sofa were comfortable. The whole room was nice and had a comfy feel to it.
Before dinner we checked out the free museum that has displays of all different kinds of animals. The second level has a huge cross collection. The whole museum was a nice treat. Our kids enjoyed it a lot.
We had dinner at their Patriot Steakhouse restaurant which is part of the hotel. The food was very good. The service was great. No complaints here.
We went to the indoor pool to finish the night off. The pool was a little cold but nice. The hot tub was very nice and relaxing.
We had the complimentary breakfast buffet in the morning. It wasn’t the best but it wasn’t the worst either.
Overall, we enjoyed our stay here and everything about this place. Everyone here was very friendly. By the way, the lobby is amazing!
We will definitely consider staying here again!

Met my wife there (half way point between my engine school and home). The bed was soft and comfortable, rooms were spacious and clean and staff was helpful and friendly. The patriot steakhouse has good. Food was served hot and steak was juicy and cooked to our taste. The taxidermy museum was really neat to see. The large collection of crosses and historical pictures was an awesome site. The pool was a nice addition. We used the pool everyday including the departure day. Thanks again!

Very nice and clean hotel. Nice people and a great stop for a family:). The staff was very quick to bring us a pull out for our fifth family member. Indoor pool was a plus for the kids. The breakfast was what you’d expect in this price range.

Wonderful idea to stop! And glad we did with a party of 6 2 adults and 4 kids, it had room for us cost 100.00 which was budget friendly and a quite corner!

Traveling with two little boys so the pool matters. Great indoor pool for kids — mostly shallow (up to 5 feet deep) but in a greenhouse so you feel outdoors. Extremely good service and price. We’ll definitely come back.

I’ve stayed here several times and it has been worth it every time. The hotel is so much nicer than what you would expect for the price. Has a pool, hot tub, a buffet style breakfast, a top notch steak house attached, and very spacious rooms. If you need a place to stay within 30 minutes on any direction off of 75 then this is your best option!

What a really nice Hotel, very clean, looks very new. That is why I give it 5 stars. If your coming from Knoxville or Lexington, and you need a place to stay, even for just a night. Come to Cumberland INN

Friendly staff, extremely spacious rooms and super comfy beds. Stopped here by chance based on Unilocal reviews with nothing else looking good anywhere nearby, and as my friend put it, «I’d stay here on purpose.» The room was clean, shower was nice, and while the front desk person thought our room might be noisy since it faced the highway, the sound basically at the level of white noise. The price was also fantastic! If I am ever in the area again I will definitely stay here.
If you’re a fan of old manuscripts, be sure to check out the museum attached to the hotel (the hotel is owned by a university). They have pages on display dating from as far back as the 1300s!

What a nice surprise! We were so tired after a long day of travel we decided to stop for the night. We were on a budget & doubted that this Inn would be within our reach, but alas it was! From the time we pulled in til the time we checked out, we were beyond pleased. For the price, this is hands down the best deal. Beautiful facilities, sparkling pool & hot tub, very cozy, clean, safe AND affordable! There were several added touches as well as the continental breakfast being fresh & delicious.

Stayed there about 2 years ago, and will probably stay there tonight.

We have stayed here several times. Clean comfortable rooms, friendly staff, and reasonable prices. Complimentary breakfast is delicious hot biscuits and gravy, eggs, sausage, and much much more. Feel very comfortable recomending this facility.

We stopped by the Inn on our way home from Asheville. There were very few choices and none of them had Unilocal reviews. The Inn serves traditional Kentucky fare — hot brown, steak, ribs, fried chicken, burgers and salads.
The dining room was spacious and comfortable and the service was fast.
We tried the fried chicken, the ribs and the ultimate salad. Portions were very generous.
