These guys do a great job with organic color — using the Kevin Murphy brand for those who research such things (as I do). The color lasted well and looked really natural — none of the reddish tinge that can sometimes happen. It’s a clean, well-​run, well-​organized space and the staff are efficient and pleasant. Highly recommended for locals or anyone further afield — it’s worth the trip.

I have been seeing the owner, Kristen, for about 5 years now and I will follow wherever she goes! Particular without the ability to articulate exactly how it is I’d like to walk out, Kristen can analyze my nondescript phrases, «short but not too short’ or «messy but not like I’m trying» and have me walking out feeling/​looking fantastic! This is my go-​to place and I suggest it become yours.

Each time I visit the Cobalt Salon in Williamsburg it is a perfect hair day.
And every day in between my appointments I have perfect hair days.
This is because of the expertise of Krystan and Edie. Color to perfection with a cut that works every day beautifully.
I recommend this salon to everyone. Try it once and you will be a customer for life.

Bailey is so on point. I told her what kind of look I wanted and I didn’t even have to show her a picture. I never felt like she was rushing through my haircut, because she wasn’t just cutting my hair– she was creating something. She has a fresh and creative eye for color too.

Baliey G has done wonders for my hair. She’s taken me from a dyed level 10 (black) with hideous layers to a beautiful copper color level 7 with a complimenting long bob cut. I recommend her if you’re in the area hands down because she knows what will look fabulous and what will fall short of it. Trust her recommendations!

She cut my hair exclusively for several months while we both lived in Orlando and I was constantly getting the dankest of compliments. My hair was its sexiest in her care, but she also helped me push my style in an edgier direction.
Plus, she’s conscientious about my scalp psoriasis, in care and consideration for how much of my spots I want to show (show em all, I say.) She’s real chill and cuts a mean head of hair, plus she’s legit company, doesn’t chatter too much if you’re not into it but super friendly either way.
When I move up to Brooklyn, she’s a stop I’ll be sure to make.

I will not go anywhere else! I’ve been going to Edie for a couple years and have literally never gotten a better cut. She is incredibly intricate and takes ample time to perfect the style. She always listens to exactly what I want, and then executes it in a way that works with my hair type and face shape. She will lend her expert advice regarding what will work with your look while still fulfilling the style that you’re going for (i.e. the Pinterest pic you’re obsessed with this month). The salon is lovely, chic, and super clean, and offers many other services unrelated to hair. Couldn’t recommend more!

This is a new hair salon that opened in Williamsburg ~3 months
I made an appointment with Edlira (Edie) Dodie (loooooong overdue). I had a haircut from Aveda Salon that was 2 blocks away a month ago and it was horrible. It felt I wasted 2 ½ hours for a trim for $ 65.
After I heard that Edlira started working here I immediately contacted the Salon to verify it was her. The struggle to find a decent hairstylist is REAL. I hate going to salons, it always makes me feel awkward but always felt comfortable with Edie. I was a long time customer of Edie for several years and she kinda vanished from Aveda until she reappeared with Cobalt Salon. The location has a very minimalistic and clean look. The moment you walk in you get treated like you’re visiting a family member. Tea/​Coffee with some cookies has bribed my mother while she was waiting for me. Edie as usual specializes in doing haircuts that fits the shape of your face. I don’t even have to say anything, she already knows what works best for me.
It may be pricey tag for some but after trying different salons and hairstylists — you’re willing to shell out to a business that knows how to treat their customers right BUT also specialize in what they do. It’s never done half ass. The other girls that work there know what they are talking about and specialize in hair coloring and facial treatment. Kristen who also works here has her own line of customers that says nothing but rave reviews of her.
If you’re in the Williamsburg area I definitely recommend this place.

Love the sleek and modern look to this place; came in for color, cut, and blow-​dry and was very pleased. Their hair color dye was rich in pigment and left my hair looking shiny and healthy. Also got a quick manicure before I left (they have non-​toxic nail polish! :) Definitely coming back

Cobalt Salon is amazing! Eadie gave me a beautiful cut and color this past weekend. Love the all natural dye they use and have to say the salon is spotless and very relaxing. I will go back for sure!
