I love Chanellos, the late hours, great subs and service. The issue I’ve always had is I can’t eat the pizza… The pizza always tastes like fabric softner… I tried to figure out why, and last week when I got bread sticks and a side of the red sauce I found the issue! The red sauce you use tastes and smells like fabric softener!!! I’ve only noticed this the past 3 years. I use to love the pizza until that started happening. I know I’m not the only one who thinks so either, I’ve had many friends and people I know agree with me! I’ll still continue to enjoy your food, but I wish you would use a different red sauce!

Our front desk guy recommended this place on vacation. We ordered delivery from them twice! We ordered pizza the first time, and it was hot and tasty. The second time we ordered, we got cheesesteak specials and fries. The fries were not our favorite but those subs were delicious. We also ordered online so didn’t get to speak to a person, but the delivery guy was nice. I would eat here again! Good, fast, cheap.

We were absolutely famished after being at the beach and being stuck in traffic for 2 hours. So when we arrived at our resort, I requested menus from local pizza places. There were coupons for this place so I chose this over another. Well I wish I had chosen the other spot. The pizza was too dough-y and just not really great. The wings were flabby and not crispy. The fries were lukewarm and soft. We ate the food because we didn’t have a choice since my girls were so hungry but I definitely would not go back. The delivery was timely.

This place is horrible!!! Their food is disgusting, not fresh at all anytime I have ordered from them. It takes them way too long to deliver to you. You have to at least wait an hour just to get your food and this is on a slow night. The delivery drivers are dressed unprofessionally dressed and reak of cigarette smoke, They even smoke in their cars while transporting your food, um, excuse me I didn’t ask for a pizza with a side of cigarette ashes. The employees that take your order are rude and unprofessional, and if you receive your food and it’s wrong and you try to call back they try to argue with you on why they are right and you are wrong instead of trying to fix it and then when you ask for their manager, the manager does the same thing as well as their district manager who is corporate level, what a shame? I mean who’s running this place??? Cause the owners should be ashamed of themselves and their pathetic team and excuse of a managers. The food is mushy, saugy, undercooked, overcooked mess. No fresh ingredients or anything. I will NEVER! Order from them again, not worth my hard earned money or time. Spend your money elsewhere, cause this business doesn’t care about their customers nor the quality of their product. All their care about is money, which I’m surprised they still even get, lol. Won’t see them get any of mine again and I hope they don’t get yours. STAYAWAY! YOURLIFEANDWEALTHDEPENDONIT!

Food was good but service was so RUDE. We ordered one of the specials on the menu but they said there wasn’t. So why put it on the menu.

It’s nice to order food and have the driver call and tell you that there outside your residence and you say you’re on your way out and they tell you to wait 1−2min because they actually aren’t there. Better yet it’s phenomenal customer service when they call you as your walking outside telling you to hurry up and telling you have they have other lines(even though you’re already outside). Oh and the icing on the cake was the delivery person smoking a cigarette, on the phone, and pulling your food out of the bag sideways spilling it all in the bag. I wish I hadn’t tipped when I ordered.

I am visiting here in VA. The hotel staff have me a flyer for this place and I went for it. The wings were so ghetto. Very, very poor wings. Being from LA, I thought I had tried the worst any restaurant had to offer. Then I had the hot wings from Chanellos. The pizza– mediocre at best. The only saving grace is that they were open and delivered on time. I must reserve complete judgement till the morning… I think I feel a stomach ache coming on…

Oh my goodness these folks can make pizza!!! Timely delivery to our hotel room. The hand tossed dough was light and fresh. Cheeses were amazing. I’m not a big restaurant salad fan, but I have to a admit that their garden fresh salad was exceptional. All of my kids enjoyed dinner!

I ordered mild wings, and these things were hotter than a firecracker and swimming in sauce! I gave them to some kiddos(those without jobs can’t be choosy, right?) they didn’t seems to notice the flames jumping off those wings! One good thing I can say is that they delivered to the hotel.

I should have known what I was in for before I even got out of my car. I was greeted by 3 employees sitting on the sidewalk outside the main entrance smoking cigarettes and cursing and carrying on to each other. irritating, but worth it if the food is good. It was not good. Not really bad or foul-tasting — just very average. The pizza crust is flavorless and stale. The sauce and toppings lack seasoning and are a testament to blandness. I had wings and while the sauce was decent, the wings were soggy. They reminded me of something that you would buy frozen at the grocery store and reheat in your microwave — only worse. The staff is very odd. They have a weird mix of hipsters and burnouts that they should keep hidden in the back somewhere. The open kitchen layout isn’t doing them any favors. In all seriousness, you would be just as happy at Pizza Hut.

Place: Picked up food here while looking for pizza off resort at great wolf lodge. Originally I tried to find dominos but couldn’t find the location so I kind of stumbled upon this place. People: Staff greeted me right away and was really nice even when I called a lady a sir. They took my order quickly and accurately. I ordered pizza a sub and fries and the order was done in about 10 minutes. Price: They clearly display their special and have menus on the counter. I believe the price were good of a sub shop. Large 1 topping pizza for $ 8. I’m good with that. They also have coupon available online which is convenient if you have a smart phone. Product: Pizza was good but not amazing. Sub was a soggy by the time I ate it and the fries were just ok. I was happy that they added long slices of fresh jalapeños to my sub for free. Comfort food. Good but not impressive. Overall: I’m happy we got takeout from here but I would probably try somewhere else next time I vacation here.

We stopped in for a late lunch on Sunday after Hurricane Irene knocked out power to our house and half of Williamsburg. Chanello’s was one of the few places open for business. Décor was non-existent as it appeared to be mainly a delivery and take-out place. However, there were several relatively clean tables and clean restrooms for eat-in customers, like us. We ordered an Alexander the Great white pizza, which was basically their take on Greek pizza. It took about 20 minutes to get our pizza rather than the 10 – 12 minutes they told us, probably because they were slammed with orders from other power outage victims. Pizza: It was pretty tasty! The crust was hand-tossed and had a nice, crunchy and chewy texture. Toppings were plentiful, but not overdone. I couldn’t taste the garlic butter that was supposedly basted on the crust, but the fresh spinach, onions, tomatoes, olives, and feta cheese gave the pizza plenty of flavor. It came with a prepackaged container of their«special» ranch dipping sauce. Nothing spectacular… just thick ranch dressing. We ate the pizza fresh and piping hot out of their oven, so I’m not sure how it would hold up through the 20+ minute delivery process. We wouldn’t go out of our way to eat Chanello’s again, but it was just what we needed that day.

I used this place for years in college and homecoming weekend whenever I went down. The same guy seems to be the manager since 2000 and this shop has never been good. It’s basically a captive audience. The bars close at 2AM and this place stays open until 3AM. I’ve never gotten a more upset stomach from the greasy pies and while they sometimes deliver their pizzas in a timely manner, sometimes it has taken as long as 2 hours to get a cold, congealed pie. Several times They didn’t deliver and I had to resort to a chargeback on my credit card because the management insisted I had to pay for a pie that was made and never delivered. Williamsburg needs more options fast and this place needs to vanish quickly, but obviously that’ll never happen until either the bars close at 3AM or they actually have late-night competition
