I’ve been going to the S & W Restaurant since I was a small child so this positive review may be tinged with nostalgia. I remember going to the S & W for breakfast every weekend with my father. I would order a hamburger, French fries, and chocolate milk. Back in the days of my youth I wasn’t a fan of breakfast and adverse to any food typically served at morning time: eggs, bacon, pancakes, etc. As an adult I’ve now learned to appreciate the most important meal of the day and S & W has one of the best breakfasts in Wilkes-Barre; they also serve up great lunches and dinners. Parking is a bit of a hassle, especially because King’s College owns all the nearby lots. Though S & W is located directly across from the college there are very few students that eat there and the restaurant attracts an older clientele. If you’re looking for quality diner food served at a trusted establishment that’s been around for ages I would heartily recommend a visit to S & W.

I’m giving this restaurant 5 stars for what it is — a low cost diner. My best friend and I meet here several times a month for breakfast. The servers remember names and what you usually order. Breakfast is served all day. It’s always clean. I rarely spend over $ 10/meal.

Serve breakfast all day which is great and hard to find around here. Had the pancakes and the eggs. Very good. Boyfriend had the eggs and scrapple & sausage. Scrapple was a little over cooked but he loved his sausage. Small place and super reasonable.

Best diner in town, hands down. I’m a fan of the Turkey Club Wrap. I’ve had breakfast several times and its always delicious. Probably the most consistent quality of any restaurant I’ve frequented in the valley.

Cheap, dive-y, and greasy. Exactly what you look for in a diner. I like to go here for brunch.

Classic diner food at it’s best! Gravy fries at 3:00 am after the bars close? Breakfast for under $ 2.00? This is the place to go! You’ll always see someone you know here. Everyone eats here!
