Food was great. Had the whiting with collards and rice and beans. The fish was fresh the greens we’re had a little kick and best rice and beans. I will be a regular going foward.

Saturday night take out dinner. Fried whiting with sides: collard greens, black bean & rice. The food was fantastic. I love the fish, but these may have been the best collard greens I ever had (though I don’t often eat them). The wait was just the 8 minutes it takes to fry the fish. Staff pleasant and helpful, and nice peaceful soul music playing in the background. But don’t come for the atmosphere, come for the food. This may be the best take-​out food in Wilkes-​Barre.

My wife and I found thus place after shopping today. They have fresh catfish n chips… Nice and fresh!!! Oh and yummy to say the least… It’s a must try for anyone who loves a fresh piece of fish.

Yes its located in a not so good neighborhood but there is absolutely no riiff raff in or outside of this establishment, when you walk inside you don’t feel like your in Wilkes-​barre PA anymore, the music playing brings back memories, but most importantly the food is fresh, nothing frozen and you can tell its made with love. the prices are affordable, and the customer service is excellent. I’m going back for sure.

Exactly what a chippery should be. This is not a storefront joint throwing pre-​made, pre-​breaded fillets in a deep fryer. You can watch the guy behind the counter scaling and filleting the whole fish. Don’t let the unpretentious presentation fool you, this is the only good fish place for miles around.
