OPEN YEAR ROUND.
Was going to be in town for a Sunday night in mid-​January, and this was one of the few places that was not only open, but also had affordable and nice accommodations. The room was on the smaller side, but absolutely did the job for one person. Would stay again.

If you are expecting to stay at the MGM Grand, then do not come to Wildwood. Wildwood is partly famous for family owned «mom and pop shops» and that includes the hotels/​motels. We stayed 3 nights and 4 days and the manager/​staff were VERY accommodating and courteous. It’s located super close to the boardwalk and is surrounded by places to eat and buy small grocery type items. The only reason I didn’t give 5 stars is because I thought the studio room was extremely small even for a studio, they could have smaller furniture to make more room but who really cares you’re not spending most of your time in the room. They are dog friendly and for that reason alone I’d consider staying there again if we travel with our dog again.

Just got back from staying a week at the Esplanade. I got my reservations through a friend’s guest plan with her timeshare. We had one bedroom with 2 full beds, a kitchenette and a living space with a table 4 chairs and a sofa that pulled out & slept 2.
The bedroom was spacious and the bathroom was a fair size. The kitchenette is equipped with a stove, microwave, coffee pot, small frig, etc. The living space was a tad tight but for 2 or 3 people it’s fine. If you have more (it says it sleeps up to 6) then it could get tight.
The place was clean & the grounds were well kept. You are 2 blocks from the boardwalk right by the convention center. It was a great location. They have a pool & are very pet friendly. There is also a grill area. The employees were quick to respond to anything that was needed. The other guests were also nice & it was quiet during the nighttime.
Depending on what the price is, I would stay there again.

Wasn’t bad, room felt like a cave but we managed with 2 adults and 2 children. Pool was nice, The beach is a block and a half away but they forget to tell you the 8 mile walk on the beach. Very convenient close to a lot of places, food, and other stores as well.

Eh. For a one night, off-​season stay only a couple of blocks from the boardwalk, it basically did the job, especially for a last-​minute reservation. The price, which probably only goes up with the temperature, was fairly reasonable, even if my room was the size of an oversized closet. So, don’t let the term «suite» fool you. You also get one assigned parking space per room, but there’s also metered street parking out front.
Since all of the rooms are outside entry, prepare yourself for the unwelcome sounds of running kids, crying babies and inconsiderate guests at all hours of the night and day. The ladies at the front desk were nice enough, even giving me a Reese’s peanut butter egg upon checkout… the best part.
