Established in 1999.

Woodcrest Ace Hardware was founded in 1999. The Company has Retail Hardware stores and a Commercial & Industrial Hardware staff that supports a Government Contracting division located on Marine Corp Base Camp Pendleton in Oceanside, Ca. On the retail side, builders’ hardware, fasteners, paint, paintball supplies, electrical, plumbing and lawn & garden as well as industrial hardware are the main departments with over 36,000 different SKU’s in stock. Services of lock re-​keying, rescreening, key cutting, pipe cutting & threading and special ordering are available. Offering great customer service and a knowledgeable staff, with an on hand inventory makes for the perfect environment for the «Do It Yourselfer». Woodcrest ACE Hardware has differentiated itself by offering convenience, availability and service with adaptability for the market needs, in a fast growing community. Worst service ever 6÷4÷16 10:30 .
Went in to get some spray paint and ended up with nothing. The store was not busy, one lady at the counter helping customers and a gentlemen standing next to her. I approached the gentlemen for assistance to buy some spray paint. He walked away as he was staring at this nice looking lady that walked in and asked her if she needs help. She said no. I stepped up and said I would like to buy some paint. He then told me he will get some one and walks away following the lady. After 4 min another person came to help. We asked for spray paint and he said I get with you in a moment and then asked the people behind us for their needs… that is so wrong.
As i was leaving I went to the first gentlemen and asked why don’t we get service. He just looked at us without saying anything.
I rather go elsewhere than this place. So much competition out there for them to not care.

I went to Ace today to look at an umbrella stand that I found on line. I hadn’t shopped at Ace in years, but remember the good service I always received when I was looking for something in particular, at the Corona store. At that time, I liked that someone greeted me; asked me what I needed and I was out the door in 5 minutes. Not so with this Wildomar store.
The salesman showed me the area where the stands were and left; after I tracked him down I asked if I could see the stand. Ah, that meant opening a box. He had the nerve to ask: what do you need to see? Here’s a picture and read to me what the box included. Nothing but rude!
I said I saw the picture on line but I’d like to see it. He said he couldn’t open a box (and no stands were on display). Interestingly some of the boxes looked like they had been opened and taped back up. He said, I can’t open a box, but the manager can.
So he got the manager, Tina, who nicely, obligingly, courteously, opened a box for me. I bought the stand. I told Tina that the sales rep was rude and that I said to myself as I dealt with him: I will never come here again.
I got to the check out and had to ask twice for the 25% discount on one item that was offered on line and in the advertisement paper. I had to also re iterate to him that a part wasn’t in the umbrella stand box, but Tina had put it separately in a bag — right next to him. Duh, pay attention.
Finally, Tina carried the 26 lb stand out to the car for me. Thank you Tina. But you need to fire these 2 idiots.

Talk about bad customer service!!! Walking around the store trying to ask a question, would see an employe and he would walk the other way. Never again will go there ever in my live back to Home Depot

I have years of customer service experience in both work experience and training employees. It is my opinion that this store n33ds to train their employees in this area. This is why:
1. When I called the store to check on an order, I was immediately placed on hold by a lady, without first being asked if I could be placed on hold. I waited but eventually hung up & called back, in which a gentleman answered this time.
2. The order I placed was on an item they already had on stock, so, fairly easy order right (?). My order was placed the day before, plenty of time to confirm the item was in fact in stock. Since I hadn’t heard from them, I called and they didn’t seem to know what about what, took my information & said they’d call back.
3. A manager, I believe, called me back and confirmed my order & said they pulled my item for pick up. Which makes me wonder if they’d been sitting on the order & it would have taken longer, hadn’t I called.
4. Upon picking up my order, a lady at the counter came across unfriendly towards me but not when another customer came in :/​Again, seemed clueless as to what to do with my order pick up. Three employees involved at this time. However, I will say that at least the gentleman who brought the order out, greeted me respectfully and was courteous.
I won’t shop at this particular Ace anymore. Harsh? Maybe but I expect customer service & so should everyone. I’m not picky, I only post reviews on things I feel strongly about.

Now that they have remodeled their store is much easier to navigate and offers grater options.
The staff have appeared to have improved as well. The employees seem much more knowledgable now, or at least provide that knowledge much quicker. When in a pinch I go to get the parts I need unless I need bulk. If you need bulk you are better off with a HD.

The customer service at this Ace Hardware is exemplary. They didn’t have in stock a birdbath that was on sale but the manager (I’m assuming) gave us a great deal on two birdbaths she had in stock. I thought she was going to discount only one but she said we could take both if we wanted. We’ll definitely be patronizing this store in the future.

It has been nearly 3 hours and 4 other hardware stores (one was closed because it was Sunday) until a last-​ditch effort I drove all the way out to Ace in Wildomar with my 6mo kid underarm. I asked for some help in plumbing and this chick with dreads cheerfully sent me «I-​can-​plumb-​anything» old-​timer Norm. I showed him my apparently impossible faucet situation and after muttering a few half-​sentences hobbled up and down the isles for about 15 minutes. He came back with a few parts less than ten bucks from all over the store (including the sprinkler section) and gave me perfectly clear directions on what to do with it all when I got home. I can finally shower my kid in the bathtub.
I’m thrilled. Norm can plumb anything. Thanks MacGyver.

Fantastic! The people who work there are very helpful — much more than the big box stores of Home Depot and Lowe’s. I needed to repair a toilet and I am NOT a plumber. I went into Ace and they not only stepped me through the process of the repair they made sure I had all I needed to make repair. The repair was more complicated then I originally planned and through each step the people at Ace were helpful and very nice. Will he going here instead of those other so called home improvement stores.

I was at the Habitat for Humanity Restore where they were selling Ace brand base paint that is untinted. It was donated to them by Ace. We went to this location to see how much it would be to have the paint tinted and were informed that they won’t do it. I feel like Ace tricked the Restore into taking their paint so they didn’t have to properly discard it. My husband called Sherwin Williams and they said they would tint the paint for free even though it is not their brand .they just wouldn’t be able to guarantee it. I will never shop at Ace again. How are they helping a company by making a donation that they can’t use?

These folks go the extra mile when you need help. I had purchased a colapsable hose from them last September. It has a 1 year warrenty, but I only had the hose. no receipt. The floor person emailed the mfg. and initiated a replacement order. These folks are great!!!

I actually never entered the store. I waited in the car while my husband shopped but I didn’t witness a super act of kindness by one of the employees. Made my heart smile that this employee helped out a disabled lady put on her new windshield wipers. Kindness still exist!

Went in here last night to get a 24′ ladder and not only did they have it in stock, it wS the same price as Home Depot! Their friendly staff gives you a warm greeting when you walk in and help you find exactly what you’re looking for. Ace is the Place!

STEVE HANCHETTE was so very helpful. I called looking for a gas-​powered leaf blower. They had only one left of the kind I wanted. He answered all my questions over the phone, and said he’d place it on hold until I could come in the next day. When I came in, he brought it out, showed me all the ins /​outs of how it works, and was very informative and professional. Thank you, Steve! Great store, great customer service. :)
