History
Established in 2003.
Shiva Heart Center Medical Group was founded in 2003 by Dr. Jatin Amin. Dr. Amin’s clinical work involves active and consulting privileges at six of the Riverside area facilities, including Clinical Assistant Professor staff appointment at the University California, Irvine Hospital. Staff appointments, including the ICU director in 2004, has provided diversification of his knowledge and skills.
Practicing for over 10 years, he has worked with great pride and enthusiasm for his community. Close integration of family values, time for teaching patients and staff, and respect for patient concerns, have strong emphasis in the moral of his practice at Shiva Heart Center. This caring personality has lead to great relationships with other general practitioners, nurses and the hospital staff. Strong respect has been earned through his persistent diligence and hard work.

Business Owner
Dr. Jatin Amin is the founding cardiologist at Shiva Heart Center Medical Group. Dr. Amin started his educational work at the University of Illinois Medical School in Chicago. Through hard work and commitment, he was able to graduate in three years, with a Bachelor’s Degree in Biochemistry. He moved forward his education at the Loyola University Stritch School of Medicine, completing his Medical Degree (MD) in 1991.
Residency and training for Internal Medicine was continued at Loyola Medical Center. During this time, simultaneous academic research was undertaken in the Physiology Masters’ Program investigating the chemical and microscopic function of the heart. In conjunction with the research and training, Dr. Amin was assigned a faculty position at Loyola as a Clinical Instructor for the Loyola University Emergency Room.
