Well known locally for his talent as a successful band leader, Jon will customize his band for any event, from Trio to Swing — Big Band, R&B, Classic Rock and Dance.

The Jon Laskin Band is a dynamically versatile group of professional musicians including players from the Temptations, Les Brown, Frankie Valli, Count Bassie, and Brian Setzers Big Band Orchestra, and many more «These guys tour with the pro’s, and when they aren’t on tour, they can make your event». Jon has worked and performed with such greats as Jose Feliciano, the Powder Blues Band, «Wired» — the Blues Brothers review, Billy Preston, Duffy Jackson (Count Basie), jazz legend — Chubby Jackson (Woody Herman), Richie Cole, Dick Berk, Gil Bernal, Marino, Alex ligertwood (Santana), Tommy Eyre (Joe Cocker), Tommy Cash, Jose, Feliciano, Richie Cole, Dick Berk, The Ink Spots, Llew Matthews (Nancy Wilson), Tad Weed, Scarlet Rivera (Bob Dylan). Even Jewel has sat in on Jon’s gigs

History

Established in 1983.

Jon has to his musical credits live television and radio, stage production, recording sessions, clubs, cruise ships, conventions many weddings and private as well as major musical events. He’s even played the love boat.

Locally, Jon and his band are the most sought after cast of live entertainers for community events, for which he has often donated his equipment and musical appearances.

Business Owner

Jon has varied experience in music, arts administration, community service and education as a Teacher, Non-​Profit Corporate CEO, Event Coordinator and Producer, Program Director, Grant Writer, Public Relations Representative, Musician, Bandleader, and Music Producer. As Jon’s experience demonstrates, he is creative, enthusiastic, tenacious and self-​motivated, and a self-​directed learner who achieves his goals.

Jon’s entrepreneurial skills enabled him to co-​found the Musician’s Workshop in 1998 with his wife Jane. They also created the popular In-​Home Concert Series and the Temecula Valley International Jazz Festival. Jon was on the Board of Directors of the Arts Council of Temecula Valley for 5 years, and served as chairman of the fall Concert on the Green series. Jon also served on the board of the Boys & Girls Club of Southwest Riverside County.
