Can you give zero stars? Worst NYE bowling experience.
The SO, another couple, and I came here last year and had a great time. Beverages and food order were placed within minutes of us getting our bowling shoes on. Bowling Alley pizza was delivered to our table, a champagne toast, and other various snacks. We were also given hats, noise makers –the typical NYE crap.
This year. Different story. The place must be under new management or ownership or something. We found the same great deal, cosmic bowling. Ecstatic to have a couple of drinks, some food, a not crazy downtown NYE.
We arrived here about 10 minutes before our lane reservation. Get to the assigned lane for maximum bowling time. We go to enter all of our goofy nicknames and that the screen to put our names is broken. When we went to the front desk and was told «Oh yeah, that lane is broken.» We were switched to a different lane, all good, no sweat.
Waited around for a server, nope (there was someone at our table last year before we all had the right sized shoes on). We find ask an employee walking by how we order and was told «oh, you need to go to the concession stand.» The guys go there and spend 20 minutes in line to order a pizza. Told come back in a little bit, they go up 45 minutes later (11:45 at this point) to just not not get anything, there was no organization to the line or how pizzas were being handed out. Guys come back to the table for their NY’s kisses.
Pizza and cookieless, the ball drop had to be seen on a 32-​inch TV with Pitbull 5 minutes before the out of time with the music (lonely country music, with the occasional top 40 song might I add) and champagne toastless (also apart if the package we ordered).
The guys try one more time to get the food we paid for to be told «We are out of pepperoni.» When they received a cold pizza we decided enough was enough. Management did give us a full refund after pestering.
The whole event was just a waste of our time and I’m still sour about it.

Its a bowling alley. Don’t order the nachos they will be soggy. $ 2 per game and $ 2 shoe rental on Tuesday.

The Cleveland Corporate Challenge had another great experience working with everyone at Freeway Lanes (Game of Wickliffe). Jen, Mary and their team were excellent and worked very hard to make sure our participating companies were taken care of. Over 150 bowling teams participated in our event and we were happy with the facility, service, and overall experience. Thank you! Looking forward to next year!

We love working with this bowling center for our Junior Achievement of Greater Cleveland Bowl-​a-​Thon events! They always take great care of our staff and volunteers, and have great facilities. Jen is great to work with, too!

Huge! This place is not a small bowling alley. Great price — each game was the cost of the temperature that day (i believe it may be a promo for the summer).

I’d say the best lanes in the area based purely on the amount of league play, the number of lanes, size of kitchen and bar, not to mention to nice upgrades. What else can you say about a bowling alley?

Had my birthday party here last year. It was pricey, but the food, drinks and bowling was top notch! Full bar as well.

It appears they have 50 bowling lanes. Some really nice ones for families where you sit on couches.
The food is regular bar food. The place seems kid friendly, and it appears they have enough lanes for leagues & fun.
Karaōke contest every Saturday night to win $ 50. I really have a great time every time I visit.

I was visiting from out of town and went here to watch my brother Dale (Brown) practice for an upcoming tournament. Loved the size and cleanliness of the place. Nice large arcade area for kids to play (my sister said she was bringing the kids and grand kids back to play).
Apparently Dale’s favorite thing to have is the salad w/​French dressing… and after having a taste of his and my sister and I ordering our own… it was very much worth it. :-) Kinda mad I can’t get one when I want like they can… lol, but I will be back for another next year and to hopefully bowl a game or two.
Also made it a plus was the PartyLite candle party that was going on.
It was a great time at a nice location… enjoy and have fun! :-)

PROS:
3-​hour all-​you-​can-​bowl including shoes for $ 12. Ginormous – at least 100 lanes straight across! Fairly clean. Large enough to accommodate multiple big groups with plenty of room to spare. Renovated, spacious bar area with tables, darts, billiards and TVs. 11-​bottle domestic beer buckets for $ 5 and a decent mainstream beer collection. Well-​stocked arcade for the kids, including skee ball and DDR.
CONS:
No air conditioning, just clunky ceiling fans (not enough to cool off a facility this big, an issue in the summer). Super dry lanes (eek, put some oil on that). Grimy balls (shush) paired with the dry lanes, will do unkind things to your hook.
AMBIANCE:
The enormity of this place is impressive but also creates a perpetual half-​empty ghost-​town feel, even when a decent number of people are around. Unless you come during a league event of massive proportions, you’re not going to quite get that quintessential dive-​y, grungy Lebowski/​classic crowded bowling alley feel here.

Came with coworkers on a Friday night and it was pretty dead. Don’t know if it’s because it’s Wickliffe or bowling just isn’t a Friday thing. We had a waitress checking up on us regularly – she was a real sweetheart. Some of us ordered food later on, which smelled and looked pretty good – the usual barfare: burgers, fries, etc. The scoring displays and machines were well-​maintained – we got none of the infuriating lag between keypad and display or unworkable keypads that we’re used to at most alleys. Everything ran very smoothly, except for the lanes themselves, unfortunately. The lanes were super dry and the balls were rather grimy – I don’t throw any hooks but even my straight throw kept going awry. Bringing your own ball might make a difference. Altogether a fun venue but I probably won’t be back; it’s all the way across town and there’s plenty of other options, including other Freeway Lanes branches closer to me.

We went and played 4 sets here, they have a large row of 30 – 40 lanes. I liked the fact that the score computers were intuitive, and easy to use. In the bar area they offer something called a beer bucket, 11 bucks for 5 bottles of domestics– not bad. They literally give you a bucket to carry around. You literally feel like an alcoholic the moment you pick it up, it’s amazing.
They had a large selection of shoes, and balls and it was extremely clean. I don’t know much about bowling lanes but I had a great time, even though I lost!
Bowling is just one of those things you take for granted, that we all need to do more of. I want to see if I can find any roller-​rinks for nostalgia too. I think that’d be solid. Now if I can only convince my date to get on a pair of skates.

I used to go here often a few years back. Not so much recently. I think the whole «Big Lebowski– bowling is so hip now» thing has turned me off. Typical bowling alley. Smelly shoes, gunky balls (sorry about that), fried food, and very little actual fun. One thing to note however, and i’ve done my research, this is the LARGEST bowling alley in AMERICA! Check it. 96 motherf*cking lanes. Right here in sleepy old Wickliffe. How do we not have travel shows coming here?
